I bought this last year and have had few occasions to wear it. I wore it the first time and each time there after it leaked after minimal drizzle. I walked a dog and today and in the last 10 minutes of the walk, it rained a bit in my arms, back and head got wet within less than 10 minutes. It is lightweight and not hot in rain in summer, but it is useless to repel rain. Or really even sprinkles.

a little bit less than expected. Not at all water resistant as stated. Would not buy again not at the current price.

This is for sure the least water-resistant thing I've ever worn in my entire life. It looks great though and the pouch makes me feel like a kangaroo :)

I know water resistant doesn't mean water proof, but even just seconds into a light sprinkle this thing is completely saturated and anything underneath is completely soaked. Do not wear this in anything less than a fog/mist and expect to stay dry for more than 5-10 seconds

First off, great looking piece fits great (got the tall version) and great colors BUT this is not even close to being waterproof or weatherproof. Got this for a trip to the San Juan Islands in WA and knew it might drizzle a bit. It was just what I wanted, a light shell that wouldn't be too warm but should keep me relatively dry, but not even close. There was a light drizzle on a hike one day and I was SOAKED, shirt under it was soaked, my skin arms were soaked, it was worthless. Might keep you dry from a mister at your local mall on a hot day but forget about any rain or moisture from weather. Sending it back.

Looks good, but provides no warmth, and no protection from the wind and rain. Would have been better off using my hard-earned dollar bills to construct a canopy.

I sent this back, I bought it for my son and it is his measurements above. It was very ill fitting. Way too large around the waist but sleeves and jacket not long enough

Tried to use the coat on a long multi day rainy hike. Coat soaked through in less than an hour. Took it off. Replacing it with a cheap poncho.

Sizing very poor. An XXL was more like a medium.....not consistent with other clothing from LLBean. Very disappointed that it needed to be returned....the company needs to be consistent with it's sizing!

Looks and fits ok but it is not wind or waterproof. Wore this for the first time around the block with my dog when it was lightly raining (less than half of a mile). I came in and it had soaked through the shoulders and chest. What is the point of a rain jacket if it's not waterproof?

It was not all that it said that it was. Not suitable for someone that is going to be outside. Too bad that it seems that Bean's merchandise has gone down hill. Very surprised with this one. For the price, it should have held up to my specifications much more.

Initially ordered Large tall since that size is identical to all other outdoor clothing I own. Considering it was meant to fit OVER clothing in a layering strategy it was way too small. Had to return at MY Expense! Exchanged for XL Tall. Same issue! Totally dissatisfied!! This item violates typical LL Bean reputation!!

This jacket runs larger than they say. When I sent it back for a medium I was charged $22.50... thought it would be $6. Other than that it is a great jacket and I love it. Just get a size smaller than you usually wear as it isn't slim fitting.

I really wanted this jacket. It was back ordered so I waited over a month to receive it. It was a new item so there weren't any reviews to go off of but they run LARGE. I'm 6'2 170 and usually run large in everything but I was a size smaller (M) in this jacket. So missed opportunity. And now I have to pay 6.50 to return and to exchange its backordered for 3/4 months now... so obviously not the best experience. The second star was only because of the potential and the color scheme was perfect.

As a loyal and very happy customer of Bean's for well over 30 years, I am loathe to complain or find fault; but I'm afraid I must, in the case of this item. Regrettably, I can only rate it for a couple stars. My main complaints are that it is not lined at all; and while the colors are attractive, the material is quite thin and unsubstantial. Despite the construction, which seems fine, the result is flimsy in looks and feel. You can literally see through the fabric. I don't know the weight of the fabric in terms of ounces; but it's very light, indeed. Perhaps an OK choice for some people in certain situations; but its lack of functional qualities led me to send it back -- like it was on a long rubber band ...

I'm 6'2" and 215 lbs. I purchased XXL TALL in this anorak because it's notorious for having a poor fit. Guess what? The sleeve measures 22" from armpit to cuff. That's like a men's regular large. So this piece is sized down, three sizes, as an outer layer. It also lacks any flap behind the zipper, so the wind can blow through, and the cold zipper slider will be against your skin. I normally wear size Large in technical midlayers, yet this outer layer, sized up three sizes to XXL tall, still rises up above my waist if I raise my arms, and the sleeve rides up my forearm. So both the length of the sleeve and construction of the shoulder seems are for standing still, hands at your sides. Like a mannequin. To summarize, this is not an actual outdoor garment. It's the premise of a garment. It's for looking like the guy in the picture, not for wearing outdoors. That tells me a lot about who Bean thinks their customers are.

LL Bean's inability to keep products stocked is unacceptable. Your buying process should be reviewed and altered. Products throughout the year are constantly unavailable or come with egregious wait times. If you intend to increase your marketing, then you should in-turn increase your purchasing. Shutting out loyal customers from items due to poor planning is an awful business strategy.

As usual, the 3XLT is tight in the shoulders. Last try with jackets from LL Bean. This item has been returned.

If you're looking for something even remotely water resistant, this is NOT it. Liquid immediately soaks into the fabric, rather than beading up and rolling off. Barely wind resistant, too. The leather pull tabs seem artificial based on the sheen/plastic-like feel, though can't confirm. After one gentle washing the fabric started pilling. Profoundly unimpressed with this garment and I didn't even personally buy it, was given it through work with an embroidered patch/logo (which has begun to come partially undone on the front side.) Cannot believe LL Bean is selling this for $60. Could buy any lesser name brand and get a more functional, affordable product with likely a greater lifespan, too.

I bought this Men's XXL TALL for my football player husband, and it barely fits my 5'4' size 18 daughter. Very Short, Very tight!! Not what I expected from LL bean! Ordered a XXXL tall to see if the fit is any more generous.

First time wearing this and I was extremely disappointed with the 'water resistance'. While I understand its not meant as a rain jacket, even a drizzle was breaking through the shell. Great look as an outershell, but DO NOT expect to use in any type of rainy environment. Besides that, fits well and is true to images.

I loved it when I first received it, It fit perfectly. I washed it in cold water and hung it up to dry and the sleeve length shrunk.

I was expecting a full on, somewhat full body jacket. This is not what I was needing. It looks like a jacket but the material and thickness is extremely thin.
