I'm a small guy (5'5", 130lbs). In the old days, LLBean's "Small" was pretty roomy, almost too big for me. In recent years, as they've pursued a more "fashion-forward" look, things are getting surprisingly slim and snug. This jacket is an example. Snug across the chest, small armholes, narrow sleeves--I couldn't wear it over a flannel shirt! The fleece itself is comfortable, and the jacket is good-looking. The fit just doesn't work for me anymore.

Followed washing instructions but shed a lot, even after the dryer. Not wearable unless I wanted to have it shed on clothes. Also concerned about breathing those polyester fibers when wearing it. However, it was very heavy weight and would've likely been warm.

Too much fabric considering size. Fabric too thin. Not warm.

Size is not accurate, is smaller than expected. Materials are thin and "pills" with limited use.

I have never had a 2XL tight on me. my body does not fit this cut/style i guess. Material 'grabs' any long sleeve shirt. Arms are not roomy enough to allow easy on/off. It will function as a summer layer. Maybe better as a pull over.

Beautiful and high quality jacket but too small for the size. I had to pay shipping and then pay for return. $75 purchase returned me $62. That sucks. There are similar choices online and retail stores with no shipping expenses as LL Bean. I will never buy from them again unless i am in a store but there are none in my area in CA.

Material is already peeling after two weeks. Keeps me warm but it also feels cheap. Not the quality I expected from ll bean. Especially being $70.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
I ordered this fleece jacket based on the reviews and look of it. When it arrived and tried it on, I liked the way it felt and looked for the chilled crazy weather we get here. The only problem with this jacket is that it was already worn, it didn’t have a price tag plus it had white hair on it, like pet hair. I called to get an exchange but sadly the color I picked was out of stock. I didn’t want a different color (black), I asked if they could refund some of what I paid. They were able to do it, wasn’t much but something is better than nothing I guess. I’m very disappointed on this purchase. So be ware, check your item once you get it.

Bought this a couple months ago and while it is stylish & warm, apparently durable, and the color has not faded, it is still shedding fuzz all over EVERYTHING! My car, my bed, our rugs, my clothing, everything in the house is coated with blue fuzz, even after 5 washings! As long as Bean's continues to use this particular material, I cannot really recommend for this reason.

Bought two of these one month ago for my two sons for a hiking trip in Utah. The style, fitting, and warmth level are perfect! But the pilling is awful and feels unacceptable for a $70 fleece that should be high quality. The pilling on the green one was not that bad, but the orange one is a messy disaster. Photos shared to illustrate.

The zipper on the jacket started jamming after a few weeks. I finally gave up and returned it. Very poorly made.

I like that they offer "Tall" sizing and the fit is pretty good but the zipper is not smooth and the collar does not stay down and looks odd as it curls up.

Loved the color but not the style. The biggest drawback was the fact that the jacket shed terribly.

Not very happy with the way this fits. It seems to pop out in the front. It just doesn't lay right. Will not buy again.

I ordered XXL size as that is the shirt size that I always wear. The XXL jacket was much too small and that is why it was returned.

The fleece quality has diminished in this version. The material has flattened and appears a bit worn in just a few uses.

Warm Jacket but sheds like crazy. Washed multiple times and used a lint collector multimple times to try to fix. Still Sheds. For the price this should not be an issue.

I loved the way this looked on the website, but the color of Rain Forest (green) looked faded and washed out in person. I'd have still kept it but the lower half seemed to flare out too much and tightening the hem drawstring left me looking potbellied. It was a perfect fit through the shoulders so I dared not exchange for a small for fear it'd be too binding for my arms. It otherwise seemed to be an excellent quality jacket. I'm just not the shape for it. I so wish there was an L.L.Bean store in my area. I'd definitely buy more of their clothing items if I could try them on.

The jacket looked nice when it arrived but after wearing it twice it became baggy and wrinkled. The jacket is made with poor quality fleece. Definitely not worth the price. Not LLBean quality at all!

Got it as a gift for our dad. The fleece was very soft and comfy. But disappointed with the fit. It was very short and the cut was off. The back was very short, especially compared to the front. We returned it.

I tried on the jacket. Great color (crisp lapis). The fit was a wee bit tight but that could be attributed to the fact it is "slightly fitted." The critical issue is the zipper. It is difficult to start and binds at various points. I searched the reviews and found two recent reviews that were critical of the zipper. (LL Bean recommends a bar of soap to lubricate the zipper. I use liquid soap), I am not interested in lubricating a brand-new jacket zipper. I have a sinking feeling that it is just a matter of time till the zipper fails. I will return the jacket before it fails. I understand that LL Bean is good on returns. My first LL Bean return. No harm, no foul.

My husband has the same jacket in a size large that he bought many years ago. It fits him great, but, he wanted a new one just like it. Over the years he has gained weight so he ordered an XL. It is smaller than his old large. The new one is FITTED. The old one is a RELAXED fit. Please offer more relaxed fit clothing for men AND women.
