I'm so disappointed with this fleece. I buy my husband some high quality clothing staples every holiday season and he LOVED this soft fleece jacket. It was so soft and cozy. I bought it the first week of January. He's worn it 1-2x week since. I've washed it exactly per the care instructions. It looks and feels like a totally different jacket. The fleece is all matted and rough. It looks like it's several years old. It looks so bad that he doesn't want to wear it on work zoom meetings anymore.

Received this jacket yesterday and immediately tried it on, then put it right back in the bag to be returned. It is the thinnest fleece jacket I have ever seen and definitely not worth the price. The cuffs are very loose with no way to adjust them and I have seen thicker fleece on a dollar store coat. It is not suitable as a coat or even as an under layer, I have t-shirts that are thicker, it is just way too thin and almost see through.
It used to be that LL Bean meant quality, but I think that those days are long gone, very disappointing!

I own the predecessor of this jacket. I have worn it for over 25 years. It is size medium, traditional fit.
The sleeves fit perfectly
The new jacket is slim fit which is okay. The problem is sleeve length. The sleeves cover my hands down to the first knuckle on my fingers. I can't wear this jacket because of this and am returning it.

Have had only couple of months and worn mostly around the house. It's pilling worse than my all time favorite fuzzy from LLB that must be 25 years old or more: wore it to 1995 Peach Bowl. Sorry standards are falling so much. Enough said.

I really expected better from Bean. They usually have top of the line outdoor wear.....The material on the jacket was too thin....the color which I ordered (Black) was not black but a dull dark slate...really not worth $69. Will return item.

The sleeves have an elastic cuff intended to keep them from sliding over your hands. The elastic edging on one of the cuffs on the jacket I received didn't provide any narrowing of the sleeve at all. This jacket should not have passed the QC inspection.
I am also disappointed in the weight of the material. It is much thinner than I expected and doesn't have much body.

I bought this to replace an older L.L. Bean version that was wearing out and was very disappointed with the quality and fit. Some of the problems: 1) The fleece is a whopping 25% lighter by weight than the older version (16 g vs 22 g). 2) There is no inside zippered pocket. There were two inside zippered pockets on the previous fleece. 3) The sleeves are too tight. 4) It's much shorter in length, despite being a men's medium tall size. The previous version was a men's regular medium size and it is much longer. 5) There is a blatant L.L. Bean logo patch sewed on rather than the discrete embroidered logo as before and chintzy brown rawhide pulls rather than black pulls; this makes the whole fleece look cheap. 6) I definitely can't wear this outside, it's more like a heavy sweatshirt and certainly not something I'd call a "mountain fleece." Do not buy!

This fleece was disappointing primarily due to the quality of the fleece material. It shed soon after I received it and seemed much thinner than previous LL Bean fleece jackets of a similar price. A previous fleece offered by LLBean, the Super 200, was of much better quality.
A chest pocket would also be a nice feature as well as a less obtrusive LL Bean logo.

I bought two of these. Fit is excellent for me (LLB Traditional Fit which is getting harder to find). With some customer comments about shedding, I washed my first jacket before wearing (gentle cycle, cool, etc.). After a half-day's wear, my shirt and slacks were covered with fleece fibers. Had to vacuum my automobile to rid it of the fibers, too. Washed it again (same gentle cycle), wore it again, same fleece shedding again. Both jackets are now boxed up and on their way back to Beans.
I used to consider LLBean's fleece a superior product (fabric made in New England, never pilled, etc.). Can not say as much anymore.

Purchased for my Dad. He really loved the fit and weight. Immediately started pilling on the sleeves. For the price this shouldn't happen. We returned it within a week.

I have to say that I was really disappointed with this jacket. When I first got it, really liked the fit and color. I began to dislike it the 1st day I wore it. The fleece began to molt off of it and my khaki pants I had on were soon covered in fleece that came off the jacket.
I figured that was normal and just ran a lint brush over it to get the excess fleece off of the jacket bu each time I wore it, the same thing happened. It then started to pill up and looked terrible. I finally returned the jacket as the quality is not there and most likely would have lasted for less than one season.

Fleece jacket is comfortable, soft, and nicely tailored. Sadly, it left lots of lint on tee shirts layered underneath. We laundered the sweater twice, vacuumed it thoroughly, and liberally used a lint roller, but it still shed an unacceptable amount of lint. Very disappointing! We're returning it.
