the exterior label/logo is far too gaudy. Your stuff is great, but I don't care to be a platform for your self promotion.

Old School classic pretty much as I remember. Very well made, great basic design, good looking on, functional. Very happy to see these still available and for a good price. Only minus is it's not the slightly heaver/warmer Polarfleece of the past, but still a good layer.

OK folks, there are many vests out there...this one is plush and very, very cozy (can I say that?). Don't worry, LL Bean, it would likely rate a 5 star review but I'm a 4 start person...short and wide...so while I needed a large for the shoulders, the fit is a tad long...for a guy who is 5'7". NOT LL BEAN'S FAULT. In any event, the price is what it is and when you buy LL Bean, you are happy to pay a bit more for quality, free and rapid shipping. This fleece is made for lounging around the house or putting under a shell...fleece vests breath, which is why you need one. Buy it, you won't be unhappy. If your are a smurf or smurfette, you may want to try one on before you buy it. Either way, your wardrobe in incomplete without one.

My husband like the vest but had difficulty pulling up the zipper.

I bought this for my husband who has a very old Bean fleece vest that has seen many miles. While he thought this new one was well-made & attractive, it no longer has the top-zip pocket like his old one. That was a deal breaker so he sent it back. If it would've had the pocket on top he would've kept it.

Sad to say it but, for the money, the Bean quality isn't there anymore.

Nice color, but a little disappointed. Much thinner fleece than previous models. Wish they still had the chest pocket with vertical zipper. Most disappointing is that the fabric feels like it has a defect in the nap. Not the old LL Bean quality.

I purchased this as a sale item, so cost was a big incentive. I didn't appreciate being charged $6.36 (10% of the purchase price) to hold the order just because the item was back-ordered. This will be a big factor in deciding whether I purchase anything from L.L. Bean in the future.

Nice vest, fits great and loved the rainforest color, but vest is made of polyester instead of cotton which I prefer more. Think polyester is a cheap fabric. Don't like the feel of it. Returned the vest for a refund.

This is the third one of these vests going back maybe 20 years. Very disappointed that there are no inside pockets in this version. Also, the zipper tends to snag at the seam half way up. I'm debating whether to cancel the other vest thats on backorder but will try this one for a couple days first.

Incorrect color definition. Says Black but inside tag states Gray Heather. I've been very pleased with all my past orders.

Had tons of lint that got everywhere. Most of it gone after 4 washings but was a mess before that. I have been buying LL Bean since 1979 so you could say I'm a fan.

Good looking, nice fit, fabric much thinner than expected, also fabric balls up very badly. Ordered navy. Would not buy it again

This purchase was to update the same vest, now years old. Disappointed inside pockets have been eliminated; I used them to carry my iPad. Also the cut of the cloth has shrunk; my old XXL vest can be worn over another light jacket. The new XXL one is quite snug.

The Bean Bootlace zipper pulls are a nice update on an old classic, but the fleece is thinner and the vest less structured than the one I bought 20 years ago in college (which I still wear). And I'd prefer a subtler logo than the very prominent rectangular patch with the Mt Katahdin graphic (or, ideally, no external logo at all). I don't want to sound like a curmudgeon, but the quality seems somehow diminished when compared with my old vest. These are minor quibbles, though, and I like the fact that it's still versatile enough to be worn over an OCBD at the office, or over a sweater on foggy weekend hikes.

I've had a few of these vests and they're very good for everyday wear. The only negative is that the zippers fail! I would buy it again if the zipper is upgraded. Until then, no thanks.

The vest fits great and is comfortable. The only downside is that it pills a lot, leaving behind tiny sweater fiber balls everywhere.

This is a truly great vest EXCEPT it doesn't have any inside pockets. Your other vests have big pockets on the inside - this should be no exception. Other than that bump in the road however the weight and comfort of the vest are great.
