Great vest but fits a little small. Would definitely size up.

I received the vest as a belated Christmas gift. The color is great, and fits nicely under a coat. I have not had a need to wash it as yet, and can not judge what kind of lint magnet is might be.

love the vest, the only problem is the fleece sheds onto my shirts. Wore white shirt the other day and it was covered with blue fleece

Great pocket space, lightweight vest for wearing around the house on chilly days. Zipper works well and very comfortable.

My husband really likes this vest and wears in his home office as we keep the heat cooler in the winter. It seems to be good quality so far and didn't pill in the washer. The only thing missing is an outer, or inner chest zip pocket. He likes to carry his reading glasses there, so they don't get mixed with other things in his pockets.

It looks more like navy instead of black. Fits great and like the drawstring on the bottom. Super warm.

I am a tall woman and have difficulty finding clothing that fits my long body. This vest is perfect and will last for many years.

Length is good. May not keep it; fit is initially snug. I've raised the issue constructively ; always get a courteous response; X sizes are often sold out early. COVID gets blamed; but the issue pre-dates COVID. Quality is good. More focus on Big & Tall would benefit the brand.

I like the product but I was looking for a vest for a more casual look that was warm and had a light feel. The product is a more dressy look that I wanted. I ended up going to your outlet store and found one that was more to my liking.

This is the second vest of this model I have purchased. The zipper on the first vest finally failed after about eight years. The fabric and construction were still sound and did not reflect the hard use that vest had experienced. In fact, I am trying to think of a way to fasten the old vest so I can still use it outside and in dirtier conditions. The new vest is quite similar in construction to the old although I believe the fabric is somewhat softer. I have not had the vest long enough to judge how sturdy it is but so far so good. the one problem I have encountered so far is the draw cord arrangement at the bottom hem of the vest. The draw cord loops stick out too far and tend to catch on items I pass. On one such occasion the cord was yanked out of the vest and I had to sew it back into its slot. Not good. However, everything considered I am quite happy with the purchase and hope the new vest will live up to the standard of the first that had nothing go wrong with it and nothing failed from start to last.

I purchased this for my husband who is always cold. It was to replace his old, heavy, quilted corduroy vest. This vest is very much lighter and less bulky. It's just the right weight for around the house and not too cold outings. We live in central Florida so we don't have severe weather but cool mornings can chill you to the bone, especially with the wind. He loves that is is very comfortable but wishes it was a bit warmer. It looks very nice on, a good choice when you need a little warmth when going out for lunch or dinner.

I'm a plus size woman and wear between a 1X and 3X depending on the brand. Here at LLB, my size was available in Women's but the colors were boring....black, grey or navy. With more options in the men's sizes I chose the Dark Marine Blue in XXL. I have other brands in Men's size and they work well in vests because I don't have the worry of the arm length being too long. I must say that I love the color! That is my primary reason for keeping this vest. The fit is snug, but this vest has a stretch cord adjustment with plastic hubs on the inside of each side of the vest so I cut them out and now it now fits better. Still it seems small for a Men's XXL. I love that it is thick and warm. The armpits and collar are sort of puckered due to the elastic component, but I love that the collar stands up well to keep my neck warm. Though it still fits more snug than I would like, I've received compliments from complete strangers so it must be the beautiful color of this vest. PLEASE make the Women's size vests in more attractive colors...like forest green, dark chocolate, violet, burgundy and teal so we can layer them over our go-to black turtlenecks. This is my first LLB vest. If it holds up like my 20 year old no name vests, I will be back for many more.

Serves its purpose, for fall weather layering either under or over other layers

Ordered from LL Bean to get the TALL sizing of this vest. I am 6' 2", but my height is mostly from the waist up. (30" inseam) This vest in XL Tall fit well, zipping up over my stomach just fine and good width through the shoulders. Now. I had a previous version of this vest, and that's what I thought I was ordering again. But this lost a star for NOT having a chest pocket. I use that all the time in my old vest for my sunglasses, when I have my wallet and phone in my regular pockets. It's irritating that this new version doesn't have it. (you have to order the "sweater fleece vest" to get the pocket, and there's no tall size) The fabric is fine, but the color is also a bit softer than my old one. Not everything has to be blah colors for men, please note LL Bean! But speaking of color, the logo on this new vest is pretty prominent. THAT they made orange.

I bought this for my dad, because I love my husband's old version. As in most of the reviews, the material feels a bit thinner. Hope LL Bean developped thinner but higher performance new version. I will give him next week and update my review.

This vest has a soft feel, and I really like the rugged, yet classic look it gives. My only knock against it is the lack of chest zipper compartment. My prior LLBean vest had the chest compartment that was the perfect place to store my phone. This one is missing that feature, and was the only reason I didn't rate it for five stars.

LLbean vests similar to this one have been keeping me comfy and warm for many years. The fit, the comfort and the many useful pockets were a definite feature to buy them again and again. However, THIS ONE has neither the usual chest pocket nor the two inside pockets, only hand pockets. Well, that will teach me to look more carefully at the description. Live and learn!
