I just came back from a 2 mile walk, while it was snowing with 14 mph winds. This coat, kept me warm as toast. Definitely one of the best jackets I ever owned. I actually like the double zippers. At 5'-7" and 170 #, the medium size parka allows for layering underneath. The minute they go on sale, I'm going to buy a second parka. LL BEAN still makes good quality products !

I LOVE IT - this was the perfect year to get it - we have had cold rain several times since I bought it and it keeps me warm and dry.

Excellent, quality winter coat for tall men. Very warm in 20 degree weather. A number of reviews talk about zipper problems. I have found that if you take care in zipping up and insure that the zipper catches both the up and down zipper that there is not a problem. When zipping down, make sure that the bottom zipper is all the way down all the way and you'll not have a problem.

We love these parkas. I have owned 2 in the past 21 years as has my wife. We both just bought our third and know we will get many years of use our of them.

Even though I am a woman, I purchased this men's jacket because I really like the length of it. Womens' jackets are shorter than I prefer. I love this jacket. It fits nicely and as I said it's long enough to make me happy. Perhaps the sleeves are a tad too long (because, after all, it was designed for a man), but the Velcro strips around the wrist make it possible to keep the sleeves in place. The jacket is warm and comfortable.

Near perfect. LOVE the jacket but a second internal chest pocket would be more useful than the two cargo bays.

As colder temps hit Chicago last week I realized I needed a warmer coat. I checked out the store in Skokie and found this perfect coat. Very warm, built well to prevent the cold penetrating wind that comes down Lake Michigan, light, and layers comfortably.

The best and practical coat ever. Definitely recommend it.

Great comfortable warm jacket, this will get plenty of use come cold weather

This coat is so warm. Never had any like it before.

Bought this for my son in college In New England. He is outside a lot going from building to building and wanted a warm jacket to wear in the winter on campus that would also combat the wind and rain. He said it's the warmest most comfortable jacket he's ever owned.

I am 74 y.o. 5'9" and 185 lbs. this parka (size Reg/Med) fits like a glove with a tee shirt and light fleece underneath. The cold stays on the outside where I want it and the warm stays inside right where I want it. The double zipper is a blessing to get comfortable when driving. The zipper goes high enough to keep the wind from hitting my neck. There is enough room to move about comfortably without feeling like you are swimming in a tent. The material keeps me warm and dry just like I hoped. I figure this jacket will "see me out".

Well worth the cost. Light and warm. Stands up to wind and cold, rain or shine.

We moved back to Minnesota from Florida last Spring. I needed a parka and this one delivers - warm, comfortable, lightweight, and plenty of room pockets. I know it will get colder than we have seen so far, but I am convinced my parka will keep me warm.

I was hoping my 20+ year-old Bean coat would rip or lose effectiveness, but it just wouldn't give in. Had to give it away for a new one. This new coat is warm for SE Ohio winter ('22 edition). Definitely "relaxed," as advertised, so larger people would have a good fit. I'm not one of those, so this coat is easy to get on and off with a hooded sweatshirt and other layers. No need to read reviews of best of coats of the year. Just see what LL Bean has, and you won't be disappointed. I'll write another coat review in a few decades.

The coat arrived on time. It's small, as I ordered, but large enough to fit a fleece jacket underneath for layering. The colors look better in real life than the online images of it. The zipper works fine. It's a bit long but I don't mind that because it will help keep the wind out when the winter winds get blowing. While it's not super warm, it's big enough to allow layering which I will do. It's a coat for active use not sitting around outdoors on a cold, winter day.

Beautiful! This jacket is so well made and warm. My husband has Alzheimers so I wanted a jacket that would be easy to zip and be light weight but warm-I ordered a tall to make sure it was long enough. Just perfect!! Thank you LLBean-you never disappoint!

Comfortable, warm, lots of pockets (very handy) and they can be fastened. Covers butt which in cold weather truly makes a huge difference as to whether you are comfy. My wife bought one several years ago and she said "try it". Great! We live in Maine so we know cold.

Fits perfectly! I love the length--sleeves and body. Not bulky but super warm. A great find!

This is warm and convenient. I like the pockets, the hood and the way I can narrow it around my face. I have not worn it enough times to offer a serious review, but initially it is what I expected.

My husband picked this coat as his birthday present. He likes it very much and it will keep him warm this winter. Nice looking without being flashy.

I've only warn it once but it is comfortable and warm. It looks well built and I look forward to trying it out in the rain to see it's waterproofing ability.

Purchased for my 13 year old grandson who rides bicycle and runs cross country. He was thrilled that he could run and ride in the rain and not get wet.
