Had one of these jackets several years ago. The quality of the new one just purchased is poor! LLBean has always sold high quality products, but no longer. Very disappointing.

I have been buying these jackets for my father for several years. Many still worn by him and hanging in his closet that were and still are in exceptional condition that have stood up to the test of time , with quality outer fabric and inside lining. Just bought him a new one for Christmas and very disappointed with the quality of the fabric. It's noisy and thin in its nylon outer material, while the sleeves are flimsy with very little insulation for warmth. Very disproportionate in regard to body of jacket. The jacket is very nice looking however, but overall quality, not what one would expect from LL Bean.

Within a year the cuffs are worn out and ragged, looking terrible even though there is lots of life left in the jacket itself. I love the features, particularly the inside zipper pocket, but it isn't worth it if I must throw out the jacket after only a year or two. I have older jackets with knit cuffs still intact. LLBean needs to improve the quality of their products. This jacket is great when it's new, but wears out far too quickly.

Well built, however, the nylon shell is a rather stiff noisey material when you move, which is quite different from my previous LL Bean warm up jacket. As a result I can no longer recommend this jacket.

I thought the quality of the jacket was very good , but I did not like the styling at all. I thought it a very "old man " look!!

The XXX-Large is not as large as described in Bean's sizing.

I am not happy with this jacket. The fit is not good as my body is between a large and extra large. I chose XL and there is way too much room all around.

I purchased this jacket a few years ago and liked it so much that I bought a second one to replace my first jacket. However, they have made the fleece lining much thicker and heavier than the previous jacket. The previous jacket was lighter and more versatile. This jacket is more like a winter jacket rather than an all-season jacket.

So, I have been buying LL Bean products by mail in Pennsylvania since 1967. Two items I always purchased were the 3 Season Jacket and the Warm-Up jacket. Many for myself and very many as gifts for my relatives in Canada and abroad. I have bought many WARM-UP Jackets, beginning in 1980. They were WARM, thick fleece, plenty of Thinsulite in the sleeves, soft water and windproof outer material with GREAT YK zippers. When they went on sale, I bought 2 additional ones in 1985, one for my job, one for around town, shopping, and hiking and the oldest one for yard work. All 3 are still ALIVE and well, no holes, no failed zippers and very warm. But I gained a little weight and needed size medium. The NEW warm up jackets are SO THIN! Almost like the lightweight 3-Season Jacket. The new warm-up is NOT FOR WINTER! Also, the zippers are not smooth, the outer fabric is stiff and thin, so much less Thinsulite in the sleeves and thin inner fleece. Shame on you guys. You could have spent $10 more dollars on the material and sold it for $10 more dollars and kept the original reputation of the company alive! So, I can only recommend the Warm-Up jacket for spring and fall weather, and only if it is on sale, not the regular $99 price! I am so disappointed that you cannot keep the quality going. This comes from a customer of yours for 55 years!

It was simply a matter of personal preference. I did not like the outer shell material of the jacket. There was nothing wrong with the quality, construction, fit, price, color or style. Just a matter of not liking the outer shell.

It has a very tight fithard to get on and off, both xl and xxl. (I'm not a large person, usually wear just a size large!)

Jacket was returned because jacket color did nit match the color in the catalog. Otherwise the jacket appeared fine.

This jacket is very warm. Unfortunately, the sleeves have a very uncomfortable liner that sticks to your bare arms with the slightest amount of sweat. Wearing long sleeves with the jacket is the only way this coat is comfortable.

This is probably my 7th or 8th warm up jacket from LL. I love it but wanna tell you about 3 problems with this jacket. First, it take too long to bring onboard new colors. Next, the nylon shell becomes very stiff, almost brittle, and noisey in cold weather. Finally the jacket needs a two way zipper. I mostly wear this jacket snomobiling and the restrictive lower end of the zipper is uncomfortable. If I could unzip 3 or 4 inches on the bottom the sides would drape over my hips rather than bunching up at my waist. I wear this snowmobiling and the 2way zipper would allow the jackey to drape over my hips instead of bunching up

I used their size calculator and it said I should buy an Extra Large which I knew would be too large. So, I ordered the Large size and it is too large also. Seems to be a nice jacket BUT, their sizing is way off.

I bought a medium; it was mislabeled, probably a large. Also, I don't think it would keep me warm in Chicago's winters. Not the same quality of the last fleece line warm-up jacket that I had for 4-5 years.

This jacket is much heavier than I would have expected for a warm-up jacket. The collar looks very cheap, not up to the standards that I would have hoped for from L. L. Bean. I think that they have gone the way of so many retailers less for more.

After using this for a short time. Only worn in the fall- the zipper just gave out. I can zip it up but it immediately pulls apart. This makes the jacket pretty useless. Very frustrating!

My husband liked this jacket in almost every way and it fit well, especially through the shoulders. However, the one issue is that the upper arms are too wide compared to the cut of the rest of the jacket. It looks disproportionate.

I ordered moss khaki based on the picture which shows it as tan, like normal khaki. The jacket is actually green, not tan. I returned the jacket. Don't be fooled by the picture.

I had a similar coat from a different manufacturer, it was my go to winter coat ... errands, shoveling snow, walking the dog, etc. (I have other coats for skiing, super cold weather, etc. but needed a knock around coat). The LL Bean site rated the temperature for this coat at (+35/-15) ... and it seemed perfect for my needs. Went for a walk this weekend at a park bordering the water, it was 25 degrees and super windy. The coat was not up to the task, I don't think it is even insulated. If it snows soon, I will test it again, and hopefully it will live up to it claims.

I agree with reviews that this LL Bean product is not of the same quality as in years past. I've owned three or four of these warmup jackets over the years and wore them in all but the coldest weather here in Maine. The new one I received as a Christmas gift is not nearly as warm, the fleece lining is thin, and the outside fabric is stiff. There were wrinkles in the fabric when new that are still there after several washings. Disappointed that LL Bean is moving in this direction, at least with this product.

I ordered this jacket for my husband recently. He's had one for about 15 years and it was time to replace it. When we got this one the collar has flannel on it that is uneven, it looks odd when the jacket is not zipped all the way to the top. He didn't like the look when the jacket was unzipped so we are returning and hoping this changes next year. Also runs a bit on the small side.
