I am disappointed that the jacket has not been improved. There are two major issues. The continued use of a light duty plastic zipper will leave this jacket unuseable after a few years. I thought the zipper failure on my first jacket would be corrected after years of testing by the public. The jacket is very noisy in cold weather; it sounds like it contains stiff plastic material, very annoying.

Jacket runs too small. Not even close to the proper size.

I bought this jacket to replace an older version of it that my daughter adopted. I was very happy with the old one. I'm very disappointed with the new one though. The material feels cheap. I wouldn't buy this jacket again.

This warm-up jacket cannot compare with the earlier versions. In cold weather (when you would wear the jacket) the outer shell feels like a cheap plastic trash bag and is a bit noisy when you move around. I know that recycled fibers and fabrics along with "sustainability" are the latest fad, but this should not come at the cost of quality. Sustainability is nice, but if you can't sustain your (long-term) customer base, what does that say about the future of LL Bean?

I have bought 3 or four of these warm up jackets and am pleased with the overall weight because if needed, I can add an inner layer for warmth. However, this is my third or fourth purchase and every single jacket has developed a frayed cloth cuff in the same area of the left arm. The response that I got from customer support stated that the coat should be returned to LL Bean, they would assess if a repair was possible, it could take 7 - 8 weeks and they would contact me with a possible cost. Looks like it's time to find a similar coat made by another outdoor supplier.

I've worn out two of these jackets in the past and loved them. Always wore a LT and they fit perfectly
this time the sleeves were a little too short and the jacket felt thinner and more vinylie

I've worn these jackets since the 1980s, sizing up from L to XL some time in my 20s. I bought this jacket to replace one that's about 5 years' old, size XL, fits perfectly. The new jacket, unfortunately, seems to be tailored differently through the shoulders so, and the quality of materials and sewing has dropped: the fleece lining is super thin, and zippers are sloppily sewn. So though there's probably nothing that can reduce my love for LL Bean, this particular item is going back to the store.

Over the years I've purchased dozens of items at the store in Freeport, as well as on line. Further, many years ago I purchased this same style windbreaker-all seasons jacket.but this new jacket is no longer the same high quality. Specifically, the outer nylon/man made fabric is cheaper, thinner, and is not the rip-stop fabric like in years before. I now believe there are better jackets on the market, and I can not recommend this LL Bean product.

On December 16, 2024 I purchased a Men's warm-up jacket size large. As of today 01/25/2025 the jacket is still wrinkled from the packaging it was shipped in. I have worn the jacket about every day but the wrinkles do not go away. I have two other similar jackets. They are not wrinkled. Any thoughts of how to make the wrinkles go away??

Current version is less comfortable than the one I purchased ten years ago, so I returned it.

Did not like the cuffs, too loose and lower quality elastic compared to the past. Did not like this color either.

I thought it a somewhat cheap jacket. It "crinkled" when you wore it. I returned it immediately.

I purchased this jacket about 2 years ago to replace a Bean Warm-up Jacket I had worn for over 30 years. While the new jacket is very similar to the old jacket in many respects, the new jacket now has a cheap nylon shell that crackles like cheap plastic when the temps drop into the 20s or below. The sound is very annoying. The old jacket used supplex nylon that remained soft and supple no matter how cold it was outside, but also repelled wind and rain. I am very disappointed with this jacket. This is the first product that I have purchased from Bean that was truly disappointing. Come on Bean you can do better than this.

I am 5' 7" 150 lbs and got this in a medium, it is tight around the waist but puffy in chest area. Maybe too short.

Great looking jacket and well made, BUT entirely too short in the Large and a little tight under the arms. I am very disappointed and I gave the jacket to my grandson rather than swapping for an XL.

This jacket was a big disappointment. I wore it about a half a dozen times and it looked like I slept in it. Rinkles all over it. The collar also rubbed by neck. Not up to LL Bean standaards.

I ordered a "medium" size "warm-up" jacket because that's what I usually wear. It was way too small. I returned it and of course had to pay for shipping to do so. I asked that it be replaced with a "large" jacket. I'm keeping the large, but it is just barely big enough. Bean needs to work on its sizing. In future I will shop elsewhere.

Outside - good, ok and looks good. Inside NOT good - no inside pockets - not even one, so rarely can wear it. Not practical. Stays in the coat closet.
