This jacket is llightweight, very warm, and extremely comfortable. It's roomy but not bulky, and sheds rain. Also quite wind resistant. I've owned a lot of outdoor jackets over the years, and this is the most useful one by far. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

True to size and fits like a glove.

This is an ideal coat for a cold fall day. I live the the Midwest and this coat kept me warm even on a windy day and attending a fall football game.

I like how the jacket fit especially when l have a sweater or heavy shirt on underneath.Like that the pockets zip close and I like the inside pocket for my glasses.Seems warm the fall and mid winter weather here in Ohio.

this coat has been an excellent choice for the change of seasons. we've had such fluctuations in temps so far this fall in to winter. Whether I'm just wearing a shirt under neath, or adding a sweater, it has been perfect.

I purchased this warm-up jacket a few months ago as a gift for my son, who lives in Colorado. During his recent visit with us, My husband said that the jacket looked so well that he had to get one also! Both men look so good (and warm) in this L. L. Bean jacket.

I purchased this jacket for a trip to London in late October knowing the weather was going to be cold and damp. It was a great purchase. The jacket was very warm and protected me from the rain/drizzle. It is light and very comfortable and it looks good.

This is and has been my most virsital go-to jacket for many years. This is at least the third time I have purchased the identical jacket. It is great for spring and fall and mild winter days as well. I obviously believe that it looks well, it is easy to put on and wear especially getting in and out of a car. I have worn this identical jacket style for more than a dozen years.

Jacket is nicely made, and has kept me warm in the 30's with wind. One thing to watch - the sizing guide pointed me to a medium, which I ordered online, but it was way tight, sleeves a little short, so I exchanged for a large, and that fits fine.

I was going to buy a replacement online. Using the size chart, I measured XL regular - 46" chest, 35" sleeve. My old LLBEAN jacket (10+ years old, outlet purchased) was an XL-Tall, worn out, and was swimming on me after losing 40+ lbs. Reading the comments, reviews were somewhat mixed on fit. Decided to go to store and try it on. Glad I did. The XL regular fit but was snug, whereas the XXL provided room to flex your arms/shoulders. Also tried both with a sweater and that sealed the XXL selection. Sleeve length was also fine even though the XXL is longer. Comparing old and new, quality seems the same but the XL fit was definitely tighter, at least for me. BTW, the tall provides an extra 1.5 inches in coat length, something I had missed in reading the descriptions, but to which the store staff alerted me. Went with the regular since the fit was better, and I was not limited to the outlet selection as I was when I purchased the first one.

HAD SIMILAR JACKET FOR 15 YEARS. TIME FOR A CHANGE AND ORDERED THIS. GREAT FIT AND VERY WARM. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS JACKET.

This is my second LLBean Warm-up jacket, I decided to replace the jacket I have been wearing for several years because one cuff is beginning to fray. I love this jacket for it's warmth, light weight, washabilty, and design. The three zippered pockets is a big plus, I can fit gloves and ear muffs in the side pockets, and a small pouch for dental supplies in the inside pocket. Of all the jackets I have owned over the years, this is my favorite.

I bought this as a cold weather alternative to my parka for waiting at the light rail station here in Denver. So far it's turned out to be a great jacket. The only thing I wish it had is a 2nd internal pocket; other than that it's exactly what the catalog said it would be.

Just bought my second LL Bean warm-up jacket (the first one was purchased in 1986 and I still wear it to work around the house). It keeps me very warm when temps get down to 30' or so. For a jacket to last over 30 years with zero problems - speaks volumes for the quality of this jacket. For the new jacket, I went with the "peat moss" color and couldn't be more happy. Looks just like it is pictured on the website. Opted for express shipping (since Bean offered 25% off the jacket) - ordered it Wednesday afternoon and it was on my doorstep at noon on Friday. I highly recommend this jacket!

This is absolutely the best jacket I have ever worn. Living in Upstate New York the winters can be brutal and it was hard to find a jacket that blocks wind and keeps me warm without breaking the bank. This jacket checks all those boxes. I wanted to put it through what I like to call the "How Low Can It Go Test?" So I went out in 20 degrees Fahrenheit and 30 mph winds weather with nothing but a T-shirt on underneath. And to my pleasant surprise I was still warm. All I felt was the wind pushing against the material. Then I went out again in a driving rain and went for a hike. After I was done with the hike I was completely dry. I will definitely purchase another so I have one for work and play. Thank you L.L. Bean for making yet another amazing product.

This is a great waterproof coat, for low temperatures. It has been proof tested on an Alaskan fishing expedition, in the roughest seas I have ever experienced! Rain was coming down in sheets, and I was fishing for halibut. Dry and warm inside in some of the worst weather I have experienced.

The perfect jacket for cool to cold weather. Great fit and it is easy to put on with a flannel shirt. In a light rain, the raindrops were beading up on the jacket. Seems to be totally waterproof.

I live in Michigan and have never felt cold or wet wearing the jacket. It still looks good even though I have had it for about 5 years. The only thing I wish would change would be for the collar to lay more flat but that is a minor detail. I love the coat so much, this purchase is my 2nd. Same size. Same color.

Good quality

Just returned from the coast where the temps were in the 40's at night with winds in the 25-30 range. This jacket kept me toasty warm. I also got a compliment in one of the gift shops from another patron. She asked where I got it. I told her lol bean and her response to me was "oh that explains it". Replacing the same model LLBean jacket I purchased many years ago because I lost it, I find this jacket perfect for keeping me warm indoors and out on cold days. Easy to keep clean because it resists dirt and staining. Smooth zipper which gets less smooth over the years but can be restored by rubbing with a candle. Washes in washer/dryer when needed.
