Item was too small for me so I donated it to a homeless GI on the streets of Las Vegas rather than go to the hassle of exchanging it. He needed it more than I did,

I have been a customer of Bean for over 30 years. Have purchased somewhere between 40 and 50 jackets/parkas/vests. Always have been satisfied with quality when price is factored in. Sorry to say I just received this warm up jacket. My third one. Bean website states 300 weight fleece. I can assure you, the one I just purchased is NOT 300 weight. In fact, it is thinner than the 200 weight polartec trail model fleece vest I bought for my gf last year. Bean needs to stick with the quality material like polartec, instead of some third party inferior fleece. The outer material of the jacket is fine, but the fleece is something you would find at target or wally world. I hope Bean reads this and calls me directly, as I do want to continue to order items from LL Bean.

It's a nice jacket if you can find one that fits. I've owned Bean jackets and shirts before. XL has always been my size. Now their XL shirts are too big and their XL jackets are too small. XXL jackets are too big and L shirts are too small. None of their stuff fits anymore, and I haven't changed at all.

I am a long time customer wearing xxl reg. shirts and jackets recently I purchased a xxl warmup jacket and a xxl fleece sweater jacket.I am 30 lbs. less now than I have been in years, and neither jacket came close to fitting me .My old warmup jacket, fleece shirts and shammy shirts in xxl fit with room to spare.I love your products but don't feel comfortable any longer ordering on line.I am really sorry about this situation because llbean has great quality and value. but I hate buying only to have to return it. Thank you for a chance to express my feelings.

I have been purchasing items from LLBean for many years.
I purchased a warm-up jacket to provide crossover from summer to winter.
This review is for the second jacket received in the purchase.
The first jacket I received had a collar that "draped" unevenly in that the right side of the collar was about 4 inches below the left side when left unzipped. The look reminded me of a comical drunk on a 1940's movie.
I returned the first jacket with no problem.
The second jacket arrived, collar was a bit limp at the back but the fit was OK. Then I noticed that "L.L.Bean" was embroidered on the left front of the jacket in slightly contrasting thread.
My name is not "LLBean", I do not work for LLBean, and I paid full price for the jacket so I was disappointed to see the embroidery.
This is a personal preference and it applies to most items I purchase. When I buy a car, the dealer always attaches a license plate frame with the dealer's number and name. That is first to hit the trash when I get home. If the dealer puts a decal on the car, it comes off with the aid of a heat gun.
If I buy Levis jeans, the tag with size and the Levis trademark is removed with my penknife. Anything that I buy that has a logo will have the logo removed. If it cannot be removed then I do not buy it.
I cannot remove the LLBean logo from the jacket so regretfully, I will return it and look for another.
The return form included with the jacket does not provide for a description of the problem other than a reason code so I wrote this review to explain.

The jacket I ordered was the same that I bought a number of years ago, and was pleased with. The jacked was skimpy, did not have raglan sleeves, it listed an inside pocket and there was none, the fabric was inferior compared with the previous one. It was overall an inferior product, not what I always expected in my 50+ years of dealing with L.L.Bean. When I called Customer Service, the person I reached was not the least interested in the details, but kept telling me to send it back if I was not happy,Period. I makes me reluctant to deal with your company again.

I have bought LL Bean products and been satisfied for years but this product was not designed properly and as others have mentioned is constructed too small. I considered going to a larger size but the design of the arm holes made me decide to try another style jacket.

I have had an XL Warm-Up jacket for 20 years. It wears like iron but it's getting a little worn so I wanted a new one. I ordered an XL like before. Now I haven't gotten any larger in 20 years and my Warm-Up jacket has not gotten any smaller. The old one fits great. But this new jacket is very snug, uncomfortably so.
L.L.Bean, please go back to using the original patterns and forget about trying to be fashionably trim with your clothes. I'm sending this back and will look elsewhere for a comfortable jacket. Please put back the extra inch of fabric that makes clothing comfortable.
