Loved the color and style of these shoes but they were not comfortable for me. The inside of the top of the shoe was rough on my foot, they ran a bit small and there was not enough arch support (no room to add an insert either). I had to return them.

Not nearly wide enough so I am trying to return now. The sneakers look very nice but it appears that someone may have already returned them.

Overall, the shoe met everything I was looking for: lightweight, breathable, and good traction. Here's the problem - the top of the shoe doesn't open more than 2 inches and it's very difficult to get on. (My other Merrell shoes open at least 4 inches across the top)

Love the lookhate the fit!! I have always wore a normal shoe and these are way too narrow.

It's too lightweight. I'd hoped for something more rugged. Also, the laces are 2 inches too long. Not a big deal but it forces you to be more careful when you tie them. It slows you down!

Great looking shoe, however, not for me. I like to go on long walks, and these made my feet hurt so bad. Tried to give them another go by adding insoles for comfort, but it was even worse. Will be returning them or giving them away.

While the look of the shoe met my expectations, the feel of them did not. I have had several pairs of Merrell shoes and every pair has always been comfortable. This style is not at all comfortable. They honestly feel as if I am walking barefoot.

It took me 3 pairs to get an almost perfect size !! I am normally an 8.5 in all sneakers. Ever so slightly wide but I can size down to 8 in some flat sandals, up to 9 in boots with socks. That said, I asked the customer service rep if these ran TTS as I read 1 review that said they were huge but he assured me they are. 8.5s in Black were an entire 1 inch too long and roomy. Then I exchanged for an 8, still .5" too long and felt like they could still slip off when wearing because the knitted upper is so stretchy and flexible. So I finally tried 7.5 Wide and they fit okay in length but are still slightly snug with thin socks. I'm disappointed in the sizing but it was also near impossible to find a stylish all-black-upper sneaker that didn't have logos everywhere, so I kept them. Though the back heel, because it juts out a bit, has caught on stairs behind me so I wish that would go away. The loop in back also doesn't function the way it should - it's too low to help you get your heel in so it becomes useless. I have worn them for an entire week trip where I walked miles with them on an urban hike and they faired well.

Unfortunately, these shoes cannot be tightened using the laces without the tongue area folding lengthwise down the top of the foot, which of course creates a sharp line of pressure. (There isn't an actual tongue - the construction is such that it's all one piece, hence the fabric in the tongue area needing to fold upon tightening.) Cute in appearance but if your foot is not quite as wide as the Merrell standard, this won't work.

Definitely not for any sort of trails. Only for paved walks. The part of the description that says for "tough everyday terrain" is misleading. I love my Merrill hiking shoes, but am disappointed in these

I bought this for a trip which would include a lot of city walking & hiking. I couldn't last more than a day. They are quite narrow, but the main issue came from the inside. The bottom 2 eyelets dig into you foot, and caused me redness and tenderness.

Doesn't have a true shoe tongue which doesn't work for post surgical feet that cannot bend. Pictures don't show a good view that you would know this.

Did not like how the tongue was attached not enough dole padding

There was almost nothing to this shoe. I had an earlier version I just loved but these were nothing like my other shoe

I am a huge Merrell fan! I've owned many over the years and bought these three weeks ago for a two week Europe Trip. They are already worn through. They do not last at all! If you are looking for a comfortable shoe that lasts more than a month, these are not the shoe for you. I am writing this while still on vacation because they are that bad. I will be wearing my sandals for the next few days.

Long term satisfied Merrell hiking shoes/boot customer. 1st time Merrell sneaker customer and last. Fit was off and not my feet's idea of a sneaker. I mostly went for this purchase because of Vibram, but it is the shoe construction that is not sufficient for my 8 hour days.

The tongue was to High and rubbed on my ankle. Returned for a refund.

Changing styles so the cuff is solid and narrow couldn't even get them on wearing socks so have no idea if comfortable or not. Will probably not be buying this brand and returned them.

Didn't fit well, way too narrow. Quality was lacking and I returned promptly.
