Disappointing. These sneakers offer no support. Luckily, I had ordered replacement soles for a different pair of shoes so put the extra soles into these shoes and then I had the needed support. They are comfortable. If I wasn't leaving for travel the next day I would have returned them.

Very light weight shoes. The top of the shoe is light weight elastic, which in my opinion gives little stability. I decided to keep for walking and use during summer months.

Hoped these would work for extra support and traction but they felt funny on. The sole of the shoe has a large footprint but the inside fit is rather narrow. I don't have wide feet, but felt the sides of the shoe were under my foot. I'm 7.5 and the length wasn't an issue. The opening is snug and possibly would have been bothersome with socks bunching up when I put my feet in. But can't say for sure because not keeping them.

These shoes are so cute, but could definitely use a better insole with more arch support and cushion. I bought these for more of a slip on and go, out and about, sort of shoe so they will be "fine" for that, but I wouldn't do more than a mile or so of walking in them so they won't be great for any real "fitness" use unless I upgrade the insole. I'm a little disappointed with the feel, but the nailed the looks. I did size down by 1/2 I'm usually a 7.5 in athletic shoes and boots etc and wear a 7 in shoes that don't require socks. I ordered a 7 in these and that was the correct size.

I wanted to love these sneakers so badly. I have them in the light green color and they are super cute. The problem for me was that they are too wide, so my foot slides around in them all day and the fabric at the ankle rubs on my skin (even with higher socks). If I went down a half size, then my toe would be squished. Because of the extra room inside the shoe, they also fail to provide support around my ankles. Aside from this, they seem to have a comfortable inner sole. But unfortunately for me they did not work. Maybe my feet are too skinny.

Beautiful design but felt too tight for my feet. I'm happy it came in a wide width but had to return (bunion problem with fitting) maybe I'll reorder a larger size. I need a square toe shoe, with more room.

I love Merrells but this was not the right style for me. Good look, but not enough arch support for my high arch. I returned them.

Ordered my usual 7.5 W and it was way too narrow. Also, it was a little too long as well. Points for style, quality, and fast shipping. Unfortunately will have to return.

Great looking and fit fine except the tongue portion of the shoe came to high and bothered the front of my ankle. Sorry for these non technical descriptions. Anyway, this is the problem with lots of lace up sneakers for me.

The arch was too narrow. After 5 minutes, my feet started to ache.

Just bought these in black, my husband bought in olive. They look great and will go well with my Athleta Skyline pants for travel. However, my feet hurt immediately after putting them on. The insole is not removable and very uncomfortable, fixed by adding my own insole. Note the insole in the shoe is not removable. The bottoms do have great traction and will be nice for both hiking and walking around Europe. I wear a size 9 and they are slightly longer than my other size 9 shoes (Brooks, Nike) but they still fit well and true to size.

Unfortunately if you plan on going more then a mile or 2 in these shoes expect tired feet! Not great for any sort of distance. Very disappointed and am now stuck with a pair of shoes I can not use

I need a sneaker with way more support. The fabric was light and the shoe was cushy though.

Looks like a cute shoe - this brand is usually great for wide width - I can get my foot into the stretch sock upper but the base is not wide width and the arch support feels like a hard ridge instead of cushioned support. Probably an ok shoe for someone with "normal width" feet.

This shoe is a bit wide in the toe area and seems to run a bit long.

I so wanted to love this sneakerthey look so cute, unfortunately, the lack of support and hard insoles make these shoes very uncomfortable to wear. I immediately noticed hip and leg painbut didn't make the connection until I switched back to my old pair of Merrell Antora 3.

There is no "tongue" in these shoes and the instep is too high. Cannot get the shoe over my foot.

This is a classic Merrell sole fit which i love. I prefer step in shoes, however this shoe has (faux laces) and a small stretch foot opening that i find very difficult to get even my narrow foot into. It's so small that it is uncomfortably tight. Kinda bummed.

I picked these shoes because they were supposed to be cushioned shoes. There no cushioning, they are lightweight, but that is all they have going for them. I will be returning them.

Serious flaws: 1) the extended back edge of heel sticks out and tends to catch on all kinds of things, CAUSING YOU TO TRIP, if you don't catch yourself in time. Also 2) although the stretchy collar helps keep out sand & debris on walks and hikes, it can easily chafe or just be too tight. Merrell should keep the collar feature for hiking shoes? Better yet, make it adjustable or removable!
