These socks keep my feet and toes warm. I was expecting for the material to be more thick. My feet slide in the boot when I walk.

Very comfortable but I wish you could offer them with nylon reinforcement in the heels. That point wears out much too soon.

Description is everything they are and deliver but just a tad itchy.

Bought these a long time ago, still just as warm as the day I bought them. Thick. will definitely provide an insulating layer for a boot. I got these to go inside my winter boots to keep toes warm, even when wet, and they do the job, especially when I wear a thin pair of socks as an inner layer. They're just a bit scratchy for my taste, but I find myself going to them again and again when I know I'll be outdoors because the warmth they provide is worth it.

Perfect fit, perfectly warm and dry. Now I see why everyone recommends Merino wool socks!

I have been using these sox for wear around the house for years. I find them to be very comfortable and warm. My only complaint is that I wear them out. Perhaps it is because I don't usually wear them with shoes. However most of the floors in my home are carpeted.

Nice feel and great for colder weather. Helps keep feet warm.

Warmest socks we own! They fit great, they don't slouch down and they wash/dry effortlessly. Can't complain a bit, except for the price.

I had high hopes for these socks, after reading the reviews. I wear size 11 women's shoes, and the size Large socks are just a little big. I prefer them that way, because I have a little edema in one leg. Tight socks are an irritant. I also have hypersensitive skin, which reacts to regular wool, Lycra, and possibly nylon. I have one pair of socks with a high merino wool and bamboo content that I can wear, but they are a bit small. The stretch nylon in these socks made them too tight for my leg, and I think that and the Lycra gave me a rash. I think they are very nice, warm socks, but I can't wear them.

Online, these socks look full-bodied and with plenty of cushion, but arrived appearing ironed, flat and only 4/10 cushie in the feet portion. Their picture online is misleading. With 21% stretch nylon and 2% Lycra elastane in them, I expected good stretchability, but they stretch very little. On a positive note, they are tight-knitted and most likely will be warm.

Very pretty colors. Warm and snuggly. Washed and dried without shrinkage. Nice.

Quality material, they run just a tad smaller with thinner material than I had hoped.

Warm socks but the seam is very thick on top of the toes, great for around the house but not with shoes on.

I wear a size 9.5 shoe and got the size large socks. They fit me really well. They stay up well, but are not too tight. Fairly soft for a wool sock. I would buy again.

I would like 100% wool knee socks to be continued again

I'm giving them four stars since they were what I expected. However, I have bought these in other colors in the past and after about two winters of wear, the heels develop holes.

I have been buying and wearing the LL Bean Merino Wool Ragg socks for many, many years. I really appreciate how warm and comfortable they are. I deducted a star, as I am disappointed that the 12 inch socks are no longer sold as I liked having more of my calf covered. The 10 inch socks are fine but I prefer the 12 inch. Bring those back please! I own several pairs of these socks and they seem to last a few seasons before the heels start wearing out. I get a lot of wear out of them. There is nothing that keeps my feet warmer than these thick wool socks and I can't imagine being without them especially with the winters we have in New England. I can be sensitive to wool and have never found these to be rough or itchy. I recommend either washing the socks by hand or putting them on the gentle or wool cycle in your washer and using a good wool soap. Don't put them in the dryer as they will shrink and tighten up. I am a big fan of these socks and throughout the fall and winter I am almost always wearing them at some point either indoors or out.

Old school cool/warm natural woolens for Fall/Winter.

These are my go-to cold weather boot socks and also wear them without shoes in the house. They wear well, don't tend to be "eaten" at the heel by boots. The socks are also favorites of my young adult grandsons.

Best socks ever. Only (slightly) negative comment is that the toe bunches a bit on some of them due to the way in which they are sewn...but still great socks in any weather, even summer heat.

My husband loves these socks, but they do develop holes much too soon in the bottom of the sock which is frustrating.

Need RED color. Good fit and hold up. They don't shrink which is a major problem with other brands. Unfortunately no red color available. They need more color choice, including RED.

These socks are very warm. I don't know if that warrants the high price

These are great socks for wearing around the house, but don't try wearing them with shoes or boots. They are way too thick!
