These socks are the ultimate in comfort. The fit is great, they're warm and cozy (my feet are always cold), and even though they're wool, they're not itchy (at least not for me, and I have sensitive skin). Love the color, too. Great value, all good, no complaints. I put these socks on and the sun shines through the clouds. Happy feet, happy life.

These are soft and thick but wear well in all weather. I even wear them as dress socks to the office -- while enjoying greater foot comfort all day.

Having a small foot getting socks that are not too big is a problem. These fit fine. They were a little thicker than I expected but being the right size there was no problem

I am women's size 9, but I like to get mens large size in this sock as I don't like my socks too tight. Works well for me! I prefer they do not have the logo on the sock which is new since last time I ordered, but seems to be same great quality. I also wish it was more affordable, but I appreciate the quality I can trust so I keep buying these. Thanks.

I bought some absolutely great wool socks a while back in Austria and have been searching for some of the same quality ever since. These aren't quite equal to those, but they're very close. Definitely the best wool socks I've been able to find in the States. I would recommend these to anyone looking for good quality wool socks.

I own several pairs of these. They are soft and warm. Though the care instructions say machine wash and dry, I wash them in cold water and line dry them. The dryer shrinks them and makes them scratchy and hard to put on.

I bought 2pair of these socks, twice, (4PR.) eleven months ago. I was extremely pleased with these socks and would have rated them 5 stars but for one difference. The second order of 2 pair were much smaller than the first even though they were both marked large. Even though it was stated that these socks could be machine dried I never dry anything wool and have never placed these in the drier. I planed on reviewing these socks with an accompanying picture but never got around to it. Now I would like to order more of these but am hesitant because I don't know which size I will receive. The merino wool socks are very warm, soft and cozy.

I gave them as a gift he liked them. He thought fit and function was good.

Very comfortable. Keep feet warm. Well cushioned. If your shoe size is 10 and up get the XL size due to shrinkage.

The Adults' Merino Wool Socks were comfortably wear as well as I am satisfied with it.

These socks are nice, but rather interesting. This is my third purchase over a several years time span of the Wool Ragg Socks. All of them are acceptable, but they're far from identical. The most recent and second most recent are my faves. Even my least favorites are still warm and fit well. Just scratching my head over the differences in the way the fabric feels.

I had a pair of these socks that lasted for years. They recently wore out. I ordered this new pair in gray, size medium. They're warm and comfortable but I haven't even had them for a week and a hole has developed underneath one of the socks. I am very disappointed considering my last pair lasted much longer.

I bought this pair to replace a pair of the same socks bought some time ago. I like them enough to buy them again even though the earlier pair wore out in the heel MUCH faster than other socks. They are heavy enough that they only work with shoes with some extra room, but that is to be expected.

The socks were very thick and while they were great to wear around the house they were too thick to wear with shoes.

I first discovered these socks on a camping trip, over 30 years ago. For several years after, I was surprised how much where I got out of them. Now, as I rebuild my stock of outdoor clothes and emergency gear, It should be no surprised that I've bought another set, with more to come.

These socks were supposed to be 'extra thick' . They are as thick as regular hiking socks used to be before everyone started making socks thinner. I like them, but I would not call them extra thick. Just barely thick enough.

I bought these to wear exclusively with slippers around the house. They are thick, warm socks. I would imagine they would be somewhat uncomfortable in boots because of the toe seam, as others have pointed out. They stretch out a bit after wearing a few times, but do retain their shape after washing and drying in the dryer. They shrink a little after laundering, so I purchased a size large instead of medium for my size 9. They also pill quite a bit, but that isn't bothersome to me. For my purposes, they work out rather well.

I like these socks for many reasons, but I need XL size, which is hard to find, or almost impossible to find. I have been forced to buy something else, somewhere else.

I have to confess that I am wearing them now, however I am a little disappointed in LL Bean's quality control. I recently purchased several pair of these socks and discovered that no two were the same size with a variation of 3/4 inch. I also noted that these socks are not as thick, nor are they as tightly woven as the "same socks" I have bought in the past. I guess I am just old enough to remember when things were made better.
