Dumbledore said you can never have too many wool socks, and he'd love these! They are amazingthick and cushy and with enough stretch to stay up and not puddle around my ankles. They wash wellI machine wash them and dry them on a rack. I want them in every color.

These are great socks. They have been washed several times with no shrink or distortion. Love them

I love love love wool socks. I've owned plenty from other outdoor brands, & these are by far my favorites. I've used them hiking to lounging in my house. Your feet stay nice and warm without becoming sweaty. I also love how convenient they are to wash. I'm definitely going to be stocking up on these in all colors.

Just got these, haven't worn them in cold weather yet but they fit perfectly. I'm usually a size 6 to a 6 1/2 in shoe size and the small size was just right! They are very comfortable and look good sticking out of my Bean boots.

I live in Buffalo NY and I bought these to wear to Buffalo Bills games in the colder months. I was outside for 12 hours for MNF and my feet NEVER got cold! My friend wore the other pair that came in the package and she said the same thing. Highly recommended!

LOVE these socks! They are warm, comfy, wash extremely well - even put them in the dryer. Go so well with my Bean Mocs. BUT they are WAY WAY too big! Wish i'd Gotten the smaller size.

I live in Northern Ontario and drove to a store in New York State to go to LLBean. I bought two pairs of these socks and the Border Guard might have thought I was crazy to drive so far for a pair of socks, but they are the best ever. I love them so much I am going to order more. In fact, I am wearing them now and they are so warm and comfortable. I looked around stores in my area and although I found socks made from Merino Wool, they just aren't the same quality. Well worth the cost and the drive.

They stay up without constriction, and the wicking effect keeps my feet dry. Warm too. Some lint pilling formed, which I cut off using a small scissor and the long-hair trimmer of my electric shaver. Result: the nicest socks I've ever worn.

These are great socks! They are soft and thick -- ideal for wearing with boots, and they last for years. I didn't actually need to buy another round, but since some of the colors were on sale I decided to stash a few away for when my current rotation finally wears thin. Wools socks are a simple comfort that I never want to be without.

I drove to Victor New York from Ontario Canada to look around and ended up buying these socks. The border guard thought I was strange to drive so far for a pair of socks, but they are the best. I was a bit worried about the cost with the dollar difference but in the end, you get what you pay for even if it is socks. I can't believe how comfortable they are now I am looking forward to the snow because my feet will be warm.

They're exactly as described, tightly knit and wonderfully warm. The colors are fun and they are a great fit. There's nothing else I want for my sock wardrobe!

The rag socks are the best I've found--better than SmartWool and Fox River. The Bean socks don't shrink (as do Fox River) and hold up extremely well to wear and washings. They're my "go to" socks for work and backpacking. I highly recommend them!

I previously bought your warm sox and loved them. When I spotted the rag wool sox I thought they would be rougher. They appear to be even softer, warmer and have more color selections than my older sox. The quality of all your clothes is exemplary. Thank you for that.

I like them. They are not too thick and keep my feet warm. They are soft. I have many pairs of them and have had them for many many years so I would say they are also durable. They do not shrink; I wash and dry them with my normal socks. I even received compliments on them before. Who compliments socks. Weird.

These wool rag socks fit well and are warm. I have had difficulty finding wool socks that did NOT constrict my legs. These are perfect. I stretched the ribbed parts around mayonnaise jars overnight and that did the trick. I use them as slippers around the house when our heated floors are not 'heating'. I'm quite happy with them.

These socks are great quality. Thick merino wool. Very comfortable to wear. Arrived to my house very fast. Would recommend to buy if your on the fence, even though you shouldn't. This is LL Bean they make great stuff.

These socks are the absolute best I've ever had! I'm somewhat of a sock-snob and have comfort, look, fit,cost,and coolness-factor requirements...these cotton rag socks meet every single requirement. I need many more pairs, they are amazing...hubby loves them as much as I do. Highly recommend!!!

It is typically hard to get excited about socks, but I really like these socks! They are very thick, which makes them extra warm in our cold Chicago winters, and it makes them extra comfortable.

My husband and I both have the ll bean boots, and I kept complaining of how cold my feet were. He mentioned the type of socks he was wearing. I think bought my own wool socks. This brought warmth to my feet and joy to wearing my bean boots.

My relative, who is undergoing radiation and is very ill from several cancers, was so pleased to receive the socks that she didn't even wait to wash them, but put them on straight out of the package to warm up immediately and then even wore them to radiation treatment the same day. She claims they are just right, warm and cozy. I searched many websites for the same article before I settled on the LL Bean version, due to the anticipated quality of the product and the relative cost compared to others (yours may have costed a small pittance more, but I know I can trust Bean).
