Long-wearing, comfortable, and quite well made. Once you've tried a pair of these, you'll be happy you did.

Warm and toasty. They keep their shape even after many washings. Now I buy these socks to give to my nephews at Christmas. They love them!

I had 2 pair for a number of years, before they started to deteriorate at the heel. These are great for winter in the house on stone floors. I expect to get 3 to 5 years of wear from these.

These socks are so much nicer than I thought they would be.

Thick, warm, versatile, WOOL (!!!!!!), machine washable (yes I have done this), and--to top it off--with the perfect degree of stretch! I don't want to say "stretchy" and have anyone thinking this is like a rubber-band. The disadvantage to wool is so often a stiffness/lack of stretch, but these socks have the divine formula for just enough stretch to give optimum comfort. No indents in the leg or feet. No smelliness (thanks, wool). And I was able to wash cold on a gentle cycle! Although I opted for not putting them in the dryer, I want these to last as long as I do.

Did not know what to expect but these socks are soft and much warmer than other marino wool socks I have tried. They are the best

High quality socks for winter. Thick, cozy wool that doesn't itch!

I mostly wear these socks to bed. My feet are cold at night and these are so cozy and warm. I do occasionally wear them inside of boots... which is especially needed here in the northeast! I did see a little bit of pilling after the first wash, but most of the pills were white and came from my new flannel sheets. (The wool socks are navy.) I love them so much, I bought a second set!

Love these socks, they keep your feet warm and dry in the cold and they are very comfortable. I may even buy this again.

I love these socks, and have purchased several pair over the last few years. Wool is the perfect fiber for colder weather. These are cozy, thick, and stand up nicely to heavy wear. I'm a knitter, and all I have are hand-knit socks and these in my sock drawer! I'm so glad that LL Bean carries wool socks that are made in the US, too. Hooray for US textile manufacturing!

I am a smallish woman, and old now (smile and chuckle)... with feet that get cold in winter nights when sleeping. And when my legs & feet are cold even under cozy covers they can cramp up. Wool socks are the solution. I bought these socks for sleeping! My calves are largish and while my feet are a size 9.. I wanted the larger size so that my legs and feet would not be feeling bound, but have room to move about. Interestingly these socks hold in my normal body temperature, but do not over heat my feel as some wool socks might do. In the morning I slip on my LL Bean fleece robe and still wearing the socks go to the kitchen to make coffee. The floors have carpet and the socks make excellent slippers. Added bonus is that they can be washed and dried along with the regular laundry. As they are washed-dried the socks become even softer.

So cozy and warm, not itchy, and they look cute with my birkenstocks...what more could you ask for! Love them. True to size. I'm an 8.5, got a medium and they fit perfect. I feel like the log cabin hippie I always wanted to be.

They are thick socks so can't wear them with just any shoes. Works great with Birkenstock's open toes! They are very warm and comfortable.

These socks are my favorite now! They were true to size, VERY comfortable and even when washed in warm water and dried in the dryer (I don't follow directions) they still fit - and are gonna be great year round socks.

This package of one pair navy and one pair charcoal merino wool crew socks is a combination of 2 practical colors, plus the wool is softer and less itchy than some other types. The socks fit an average woman's size 10 foot. They are too new to comment on wear, but will be washed according to directions.

I love these socks. In fact, I'm wearing them right now as I'm walking around our cold apartment in the early morning. They're thick, warm, and soft - not at all scratchy. I would highly recommend these to anyone!

Heaven for your feet.

On a cold night, i slept with these socks on and did not have any freezing feets. I am ordering more socks when i have the money
