These are my favorite hiking socks. The fabric is a bit roughly woven like it's supposed to be to grip your feet when you sweat.

These are about as good a wool sock as can be found today. They are thick and warm; I can not find a comparable knee high anywhere and the 10 inch length is a much better than what you usually find in this quality sock. My feet get really cold in the cooler months and these socks are the best in warmth and comfort.

Although I'd hoped to find similarly well-reviewed cotton ragg socks from Bean, decided on these given what reviewers had to say. Not disappointed. Seem well made, and are definitely cozy and comfortable. Probably not a great sock for warm weather, but just fine for the cooler months. Bought the charcoal ones, and while the color is great, wish they had a bit more of the traditional marled look of the gray ones. Also wouldn't mind having the option of buying 1 charcoal pair and 1 gray pair. Minor complaints.

I love these socks so much. I bought them because I needed thicker socks than the ones I was wearing to try on the Bean Boots I wanted to purchase. They are wonderfully thick and warm, but very breathable and have kept my feet constantly warm without getting sweaty.

Love LLBean wool crew socks - so nice to have warm cuffs long enough to keep cold drafts off of my ankles.

These were a Christmas gift from my Dad in 1993. I still wear them. The fit is perfect. They haven't become threadbare nor have they faded. Still have 3 pair b/c puppies like to chew on them.

Merino wool socks size XL fit my husbands large feet perfectly! They are high quality in that they wash well and maintain there shape. And, most importantly, they keep his feet warm and stay up, which has been his main complaint with socks he has worn in the past.
