Merrell Moab 3 Mid WP 10 is the best-fitting hiking shoe for my 10 N (10 AA) feet that I have tried on during my 3-yr search for new hikers, although it seems about 1/2 size shorter than my other size 10 shoes: I compared the length of the insoles. Also, these Merrell insoles have way too much arch support and so I swapped them for other shoe's insoles. I'm returning the 10 to try a 10 1/2.

Left positive review earlier but want to add how convenient it is having WATERPROOF boots. Today, I stepped in dog poop hidden in the brush. Being able to easily hose them down when I returned home was so much easier than trying to avoid the non-rubber boot parts. Having hiked in these Moabs several times, now, I am perfectly satisfied with them.

I broke my shoes in with 2 2-hour long hikes around Frick Park in Pittsburgh, then hiked for at least 5 hours a day at Zion and Bryce Canyon -- fit perfect, no pain ever. Went through mud and a stream, and my feet stayed perfectly dry. My first experience with hiking boots (I had only ever used sneakers before). Perfect!

I purchased these hiking boots over a year ago and just used them to hike in the snow for 4 miles. My feet were dry and warm the whole time! Amazing boot... thank you Merrell!!

Best hiking boots ever. I wore out my first pair and got another pair because my troublesome feet feel great in these boots, and my orthotics work perfectly in them.

Ordered half size up and they fit perfect. I’ve worn them twice once to break in & once on trail - no rubbing or discomfort. Love the color & the brand

First hike in my Merrells was a hike around Zion National Park in Utah. The Moab 3 Mid's did so great! Very supportive, yet comfortable for a full day of hiking, climbing, etc. Love them!

Yet to try these out hiking but they are the only hiking boots I can now wear due to very badly bruised toenails. I tried so many brands and styles before finding these. The woven fabric design instead of full leather was just what I needed so my toes didn’t hit the front of the boots. These also allow plenty of room in the toe box, they are more square than many other boots. A soft hiking boot but still feels supportive and waterproof too!

Shoes fit and feel great! I have VERY wide feet and the were wide enough, without going up a 1/2 size. Wore them on hikes and walks.

Haven't hiked in these yet, but wore them shovelling snow and they are light, and kept my feet dry and warm.

Merrill has been good to my feet. However, based on reviews, I ordered half a size up and am thankful I did. They are comfortable out of the box, and the arch support suits my feet. I like the look.

Fit great! I have a hard time with shoes being too tight and these Merrell shoes fit like a glove. I am loving having a good pair of walking shoes for winter. I have purchased THREE pairs of Merrell shoes this season because they are true to my size and are offered in wide.

They actually are waterproof, tested on a tricky water crossing, submerged, but not over the top, stayed comfy and dry.

I purchased the Merrell Moab 3 Mid boot for local hiking. I have weak ankles and I felt these boots might help keep me sturdy on the trail with all the rocks around. For hiking boots, these are nice looking. Grey with pale blue accents. I normally wear a 9.5 medium but I had to go up to a 10.5 medium to have room for my toes. I haven't tried them outside yet. I am breaking them in inside the house for a few days. I do think this larger pair will work for me, though. I feel quite well-supported both in the arch and the ankle. I'm glad these came in waterproof. I'll need that. I'm very happy with Zappos' free shipping & return policy. Living so far from the city as I do I have to order many things online. Shipping is fast too! (PS the last pair of Merrells I purchased was 20 years ago. I still wear them! I just got these Moabs because I wanted something with better ankle support and because I like the grey/blue combo. So tired of brown or black!)

My son is familiar with Merrill products, so he suggested I order the Moab 3 Mid Waterproof. I usually wear 8m, but in athletic shoes and hiking boots, I order 1/2 size bigger to be sure my toes have enough room and won’t get squished going downhill. My second toe is longer than my big toe so for sure, it appreciates a bit of extra room. I’m glad I ordered them in an 8 1/2. These boots are padded very well all over, esp. at the ankles. They felt comfortable as soon as I put them on, but I’ll wear them around the house now and then to get them ready for hiking in Yellowstone in a few weeks.

My second pair of Merrell hikers. Merrell's perfectly fit my wide feet and accommodates my bunions.
It's best of both worlds between an agile shoe and ankle protective boot. Like all waterproof footwear, it is slightly heavier and warmer than a non-waterproof shoe. Fairly hard sole which softens slightly over time, but stays very stable which is important to me.
These are coming with me in August first to Iceland, then Scotland and in September Tour de Mont Blanc.I'm very confident packing these boots for all those hikes.

Amazing! I've always been a Merrell boots user, and these are great, particularly I love they are not too tight, so your feet will be in the correct and ergonomic position always. Great grip and absolutely comfortable. These are the "must have" for dayly outdoors.

So glad I got theseMerrell - Moab 3 Mid WP, Hiking Shoes, in granite color. They are water resistant.and have a removable insole. My firat hike with them was the Chicago airport. They are very comfortable and the heel support is wonderful.

The Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Wide Width hiking books fit my wide feet perfectly. An operation on one foot and a bunion on the other has made it very difficult to find sturdy hikers the fit the width of my feet (without being excessively long). The arch support feels better than another brand that I bought at the same time, but returned.

They were comfortable from the first time I put them on. The bottoms are very thick and durable. They provide a lot of traction for slick surfaces. They are definitely water-resistant - not sure I'd say "water-proof", but I got them thoroughly wet several times and my feet stayed DRY! I walked in some muddy puddles and didn't get wet. Very impressed and would highly recommend.
