I love the shoes, they are very comfortable but they are not waterproofed.

Bought a pair for short day hunting trips. I like the fit and finish of the boot, they're comfortable. But they definitely are not waterproof. While walking in ankle high grass with gaiters on water would come into the boot at the toes.

Overall decent boots but was SHOCKED how small they were had to return first pair and order entire size larger. In short I had to order a 10 to get they fit of a 9.

8.5 mile hike out and back with 2100+ft of elevation gain. Boots provided proper support and traction. Waterproofing is good for morning dew and light splash but didn't put to test otherwise. Boot lacks all day comfort for this hike. My feet were aching about halfway down the mountain. Comfortable at first, but not enough sustainable cushion for the full hike. I was glad to put my Moab Flights on at camp!

I've always had a good experience wearing Merrell's for the first timeno break in grief at all. I find these boots have gotten soft really fast! I think I'll need to look for a more sturdy sole and more ankle support. They are great boots but they are like sneakers now! I like to feel a little more secure and supported.

After doing some research I decided to go with the Moab 3 Mid Waterproof. I've been wearing them now for about 3 months. The boot has surprisingly held together well and is very comfortable, but sadly to say the waterproof side of the boot is non existent. I'm an animal caretaker/zookeeper and within 30 minutes of walking through the grass first thing in the morning my toes are completely soaked. The grass only being an inch taller than the toe of my boot.

This fell apart after 2 wearing and 2 years sitting in a box. I was offered a 20% discount on a new pair. I am not satisfied with this brand.

Unfortunately when I tried wearing the shoes around the house when they arrived, the top of the shoe dug Into my ankle and I knew i wouldn't be comfortable in them. Merrell is my go to shoe, I have many pairs, I buy wide waterproof, but unfortunately the mid height is not for me.

I am just beginning to take up hiking and after a bit of research decided on these Merrell boots. One of the key features that influenced my decision was that they are waterproof. Today was the third hike that I wore them and was finally able to put the waterproofing to the test. Unfortunately, they failed the test. My hike had me trekking through some ankle high wet grass for about a third of a mile. There were no deep puddles of water and I was surprised to feel my feet getting wet. When I finally took the boots off at the end of my my hike my socks were soaked. Both the insoles and inside uppers were also soaked.
On a positive note, I did find them to be very comfortable. Traction seemed to be appropriate over a range of terrain. If I would hike in completely dry areas, then I could easily recommend these boots; however, living in the Pacific Northwest, I would recommend finding something more waterproof.

I jist bought these boots about a month ago and was loving them. Great tread and very comfortable now I'm here at an Easter party and we accidently spilled red dye and some got on my boots and leaked straight through.. I thought these were waterproof?!?! Not happy!!

I wore Moab Waterproof hiking shoes on a recent 7 day Mt Kilimanjaro hike and unfortunately the waterproof capability failed after hiking for an hour in light rain on day 2 and once again on day 4 and 5. Had to wear wet shoes up to the summit and remainder of hike.
These shoes are probably not the best choice for any multi day hike that may encounter rain. I gave my pair away after the hike and will go with a different brand for my next multi day hike. Gave 2 stars as they fit well and were comfortable.

I had a Moab years ago and it was one of my favorite boots. Then they changed it and the newer version didn't fit right. I recently tried it again after a few more years and nope still a bad fit. The minute I opened the box I knew it wouldn't work, I could see that the size medium was too narrow just looking at the soles. I put them on but didn't bother walking around because they were too tight. Also like the last version I tried the heel inside the boot feels built higher than the front (I don't hike in heels). I'm not a fan of arch support, unless you have foot issues it shouldn't be there. We weren't born needing arch support and I find all it does is tire my feet out faster.

I needed a wide shoe and went to a larger one but it still was too tight.

The fit and look are great but the second time I wore them one of the outermost lugs of the sole just broke off for no reason. Checked out the piece and it had no damage or cut on it.

I've had these less than two months. In the rain this morning, they both leaked badly. Don't believe the "waterproof" advertising.

Very disapointed! Merrill has been a good brand. Sad that this pair of boots did not measure up. Needed the waterproof version for walking through long wet grass in the fields. Second time i wore them i had wet feet. Not just a bit damp, sopping wet socks. I was 600 miles from home at a herding competition, so no chance to back to the house and get another pair of boots.
I'm not saying these boots are no good, but this pair let me down...big time. My trust in the consistent quality of Merrill boots broken. I willbe returning them.

NOT Waterproof. These became soaked from walking through wet morning grass in the woods, so bad that we rung water out of the socks. They are comfortable but don't hold up to morning dew.
Get 2 stars because of comfort, but very disappointed in having wet feet! The good news from this though is Merrell took care of us with great customer service! Thank you.

On dry ground these are probably very good. The waterproofness is questionable. More like water resistant. The fit and comfort is excellent but what scares me is I do not feel safe using these under wet/damp conditions. When going over wet rocks or tree roots it's like skating on ice! You WILL fall!
very dangerous. Terrible sole composition choice! A softer sole is needed. I felt like durability over safety is the rule here.

Bought this end of May, after a month the toe is already coming apart at the rubber sole. Also this is a hiking boot and slips quite frequently on wet surfaces. Not what I would expect from a boot that should be rugged like and handle a beating. I wear it to work on a daily basis in a warehouse and nothing too crazy so these problems should be happening.

Not comfortable for a long day of hiking. The left boot dug in at the top of the tongue, the right boot was fine. Perhaps just a flaw in this one situation?

I bought the Men's Moab 2 hiking boots and they are ok. They were extremely uncomfortable initially, due to the stock insole provided. After wearing them once, I replaced the insoles. The shoes are better but I shouldn't have to replace the new insoles because they are as supportive as CONCRETE!

I got these a few weeks ago as a warranty replacement for Moab 3 vents. These boots are very comfortable and have great ankle support. There's a but there is always a but. These shoes are definitely not waterproof. My toes got wet from just walking in grass. I'm very disappointed on the whole not being waterproof but still a great boot for the dryer days.

Very good fitting boots purchased for long walks. Got caught in heavy rain and the water drops went right through the top off the toe. Disappointing.
