I've worn Moabs for years, but this is my first mid. I had to go up a size, (and I have narrow feet) but the fit is good for the most part. Every once in a while I have a pinch where the gusset is attached to the tongue, but I can usually play with it to avoid discomfort.

I bought the shoe a few weeks ago and I am happy with comfort and performance so far, but I have one concern. The laces are short. I always double knot my laces so they will not come undone on a walk. My other Merrell shoes are fine, but these came with laces so short I cannot make the tie easily. At my age, bending and reaching is sometimes a challenge.

Bought these for my Colorado Trip and they were superb!!!! Great on the feet as far as support and durability! Even wore them to walk around town and felt very comfortable! 10/10 recommend!!! If you have the extra bucks I would also grab a pair of their socks it adds more cushion and a plus because of the aesthetics! Love my Merrells!!!

Not true to size. I ordered my normal boot size which was too tight (front/back) and too tight (left/right). Return the boots (a hassle and another story) and got the next size up with a wide version. This was too big for both front and back and too loose left and right.
With each step, it feels like theres a rock under the middle portion of your foot. Not comfortable at all. It also forces the front part of your foot to slap the ground because theres too much of an arch.
Id rather throw these in the garbage then to try and return again. Dont recommend and wont buy again.

I bought the Mens Moab 2 hiking boots and they are ok. They were extremely uncomfortable initially, due to the stock insole provided. After wearing them once, I replaced the insoles. The shoes are better but I shouldnt have to replace the new insoles because they are as supportive as CONCRETE!

I bought these boots in a men's size 7 even though I am a women's size 8, because I was pretty disappointed in the women's colors (I looked up the dimensions and they were supposed to be fit). I feel as though women shouldn't have to deal with childish/feminine color schemes in their hiking attire and am disappointed in merrell for not just having these boots be unisex and offer all colors in mens and women's sizing. Although, I am further disappointed in their exchange policy. I attempted to exchange these boots for the women's version (despite my dislike for the women's colors) and even though they are the same price, I am only allowed to exchange for the mens, so I have to pay a return fee and wait till they process my return to get the money back to buy a new pair. On top of this, the customer service lady I talked to on the phone was not a pleasant person to talk to. I am ready to look for a different hiking boot brand.

I thought they were light and comfortable but the size seemed to run a little big.

Bought a pair for short day hunting trips. I like the fit and finish of the boot, theyre comfortable. But they definitely are not waterproof. While walking in ankle high grass with gaiters on water would come into the boot at the toes.

Not waterproof at all. I bought these for my son to wear for work because he works outdoors. He stepped in a water puddle and his socks are soaked. Defeats the purpose of spending a lot of money on a pair of shoes that are advertised as waterproof, when they arent truly waterproof. Very disappointed!

Great pair of boots - like slippers. Not terribly effective on ice but definitely waterproof as I found out recently on a trek through snowbound urban areas.

I bought these shoes about a month ago and have no complaints. They are very comfortable and light weight. This is my third pair of Merrell hiking shoes, the first two were the low cut type. The only reason I didnt give a five star rating is because I barely have them broke in and not sure how long they will last.

Excellent fit and hardly experienced corns on my feet! Only suggestion is that they make the traction better since I still can't grip when walking on icy pavements and almost slipped. Otherwise, very good quality hiking shoes.

Ive worn my Moab 3 mid waterproof Merrills every day through dry dirt roads, three feet of dry & wet snow, along trails with micro spikes, crossing small, running brooksjust about everywhere because they are immense comfortable and look good too. Cant wait for late spring and some warmer weather hiking, absolutely love em!

Great boot, my second pair. First pair was 9.5 wide and my feet hurt after hiking so I ordered a 10 wide and much better. Would highly recommend!

Everything I loved about the Moab 2, except they run a half size smaller in my case. I can still wear them with thinner socks which is just fine because I have the Moab 2 leather for cold weather hikes.

Laces are a bit short so unless double knotted, will come undone great boot otherwise!

These are great hikers! The wide width is awesome! The only reason i gave it a 4 and not a 5 is a little bit more cushioning would be nice

Really liked these boots but there were just a bit too narrow. I tried the wide but they were very wide. If I could have found a size between the medium width and wide width, I would have kept these boots.

I am inclined to call them classic (this is my second pair in a decade) but this is actually a pretty modern look. I bough them because the previous pair wore very well over time (with in the filed repairs as they gradually wore out). The notion that they are waterproof is a bit silly. Perhaps there is a goretex sock, but if you walk through wet grass your toes are going to know it pretty quickly. I use these mainly for hikes in the woods, in the hill country of upstate New York, and even through city streets when the weather is too crummy for running shoes.

Comfortable, easy to slip into these. Good support and traction. Just have not done a long hike yet so may rate 5 stars if good for whole day on a trail.

Right out of the box I threw my new Merrell's on and did a 10-mile hike on a very rocky trail in northeastern PA. They performed beautifully with no break-in needed. They seemed to feel a bit hot on my feet but not uncomfortable. I plan on doing an Appalachian Trail thru hike next spring. These boots will be on my feet.
