I bought a pair of these shoes in 2019 for a winter trip to Germany. Those shoes kept my feet dry, warm, and comfortable. I wore them off and on for almost four years. This past May I wore them on the hurricane deck at Niagara Falls and noticed that my feet were a little damp afterwards but after 3+ years of service, it was time for a new pair. I got the new pair earlier this month ahead of a trip to Paris. I wore them one day at home to check fit and comfort and all was good. The second day in Paris was a bit rainy. The first thing I noticed was that my feet felt wet. I took off the shoes when I returned to the hotel room and discovered that my socks were damp. It rained again today and my socks were soaking wet when I took them off. These shoes are definitely not waterproof. They are comfortable and good for walking in dry conditions but they are not an all weather shoe. I bought them specifically to keep my feet dry in rainy weather and they totally failed on that front. Ill look elsewhere for shoes from now on.

Ive worn 10.5 for years, but the Merrill 10.5 reg was too tight and the 10.5 wide was too big; the laces at the bottom now cinch up a bit with the wides. On my next purchase of MOAB shoes I tried the 10.5 regular, 10.5 wide, and 11 regular. Im much happier with the fit of the 11s. My recommendation is buy (charge) several of various sizes, figure out what fit is the best, then return the others. The return process was very easy.

These are my second pair of Moabs bay Ive owned. My first pair were one of my prized possessions. I wore them in close to 25 states, all 4 time zones, about 6 national parks, and they had been in both Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico. The tow was stained by the Pacific Ocean on Canon beach in Oregon. And that doesnt include wearing them daily for almost 5 years. Heres to hoping my Moab 3s (which I love and are an amazing value) get the same experiences.

Comfortable out of the box. Wide is good fit for me. Likely will put orthotics in to replace the existing support. Will give more feedback when I see how they hold up on EBC trek

Narrow width and sizes run small. Order a half size up. Merrell benefits from great marketing and a long reputation of producing quality and durable footwear in years past. Wore Merrell work boots for years. The Moab is stylish, but not of durable material quality given the $160 price for a boot made in sweat shops in Vietnam.

I wear them three days a week. I walk five miles every day on asphalt and hilly trails. I wear a low quarter pair of same shoes on the trails on the other days. They are very comfortable and my feet never hurt.!

NOT Waterproof. These became soaked from walking through wet morning grass in the woods, so bad that we rung water out of the socks. They are comfortable but dont hold up to morning dew. Get 2 stars because of comfort, but very disappointed in having wet feet! The good news from this though is Merrell took care of us with great customer service! Thank you.

Moab 3s are significantly better the predecessors. Sole is stiffer and they retain the comfort. Lightweight but fairly tough for an every day boot. I've worn Merrels for some years. The Moab 2 lasts less than a year of fairly hard use. My first pair of Moab 3s lasted a year and a half. The tread wore off from my incessant walks. No rips in the fabric but they did leak water after some months.

These boots were chosen for our State's Urban Search and Rescue team to be used around our BoO (Base of Operations) and for travel and training. The membership frequently speaks about the ease of break-in and the attributes of the boot. They are lightweight, yet sturdy, and the waterproofing is effective in the environments we work in.

These are the most comfortable and supportive shoes Ive ever owned. Taking these to England to hike Hadrians Wall in October and I know my feet will be well taken care of.

Good comfort but back upright is too soft not allowing for easy entry of your heel . Needs to be stiffer like other Merrells I have purchased. I have to bend down reach behind the heel to get it started. Im 63 and 225 so not so easy.

I've worn this model of Merrell - both boot and shoe styles for probably a decade and would not change unless they were not available. They wear well, good traction in winter and stay comfortable, the only reason I have replaced them is wear on the soles.

I've been wearing moabs for several years now and the Moab three is a definite improvement, however, they're not waterproof, despite the little tag on the side of the boot stating otherwise, they're not even water resistant. A lite drizzle and my feet are wet. Definitely not ok to walk in puddles. Otherwise they're brilliant. The new tread patter especially I wish Merrill made all of their footwear in wide, I'd definitely wear more of their shoes and boots.

These are daily wearers for me. This pair is even better than my last ones, that I totally wore out. I have neuropathy and need sturdy yet comfortable shoes that dont rub on the tops of my toes. These boots are the best for me!

Glad they have half sizes, and that their customer service is so friendly and efficient. The composite toe makes it a little more snug than most. But other than that, a solid and comfortable boot I look forward to getting a lot of use out of.

I'm very happy with these boots. Merrells typically fit perfectly in 11.5, but the pair I received were too tight, so I went to an outlet store to exchange (ultimately for size 12). When trying on, I noticed each pair was slightly (but noticeably) different in color, dimensions, and/or symmetry. I understand the boots are manufactured in pairs, so "some variation is possible", but I found myself wishing the wides fit better because the color was more brown vs green. At any rate, I am now working on some very austere terrain and these moabs handle it extremely well. I upgraded the standard laces for some stretch laces and they fit perfectly. They do get warm in hot weather, but that's tolerable with waterproof boots. I wish Merrell would offer more gum-soled Moabs, they're awesome.
