I needed one size bigger than regular shoes. Not yet tested for waterproof or longevity. Insoles need time to feel comfortable.

Bought these 7 months ago. This is my third pair. I've only worn out the lacees and insoles. I wear them everywhere at work on the trail and on my motorcycle. Shifting on my motorcycle has only put a hole over my big toe and I don't think that there's a shoe outthere that would not happen to.

Six months moderate use. I love them, absolutely love them but not as Waterproof as advertised and not as rugged either. You be the judge. PS. Trying Moab 3 GORE-TEX because this is still the most amazing hiking boot on the planet.

Great boot for a wide forefoot. Doesnt pinch my neuromas. Used them in Vermont and Adirondacks. Kept my feet dry without being hot and sweaty. Excellent traction.

After doing some research I decided to go with the Moab 3 Mid Waterproof. Ive been wearing them now for about 3 months. The boot has surprisingly held together well and is very comfortable, but sadly to say the waterproof side of the boot is non existent. Im an animal caretaker/zookeeper and within 30 minutes of walking through the grass first thing in the morning my toes are completely soaked. The grass only being an inch taller than the toe of my boot.

I broke in these Moab 3 Merrells on the Oregon coast in May. Lots of hiking in the rain, beach treks. Let me tell you, these are the shoes you want. Comfortable, durable, waterproof, stylish. Im a convert.

Really nice boots, and very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. There are a couple of things that Merrell needs to know, though. One, the soft collar on the inside top, while very comfortable, is a magnet for grass awns, which then become very hard to remove from that fabric, especially the smaller ones that break off in small fragments. I just spent the best part of an hour doing that. If you're going to be walking through areas of tall dry grass, be aware. Two, the tread on these has some narrow gaps, where larger grass awns and other plant material can get stuck. This is an issue because people can unwittingly transport invasive plant material between locations, causing inadvertent spread of invasive plant species. Wider gaps between the treads would help with this.

I Got these from the Merrel company month or so ago. I like the look, I like the comfort but what I don't like is my feet where soaked hiking through some wet morning dew. My Feet got soaked early-on and I had to do the loooong hike with soaking wet feet. They are not waterproof. took 3 days to dry. and now smell horrible.

I wore out my first pair of Moabs and decided to replace them with another pair this winter. A couple of weeks later and some slushy snow later I found out that they leaked. Thinking I just got a bad pair I returned them (to REI) and they were very happy to replace them. Was very disappointed that the replacement pair couldn't keep my feet dry after walking with grass wet with dew. Fit was great and comfortable (dry), the new soles are great, but don't count on them being waterproof...

I had purchased these boots 2 years ago for me and my girl friend $300. Only got to use them 5 times. Until these last 2 times I got to test the water proof capabilitys. Walking through snow a couple inches will get the boots soaked and get your feet wet. Then went camping for 4 days at the lake and walking through the wet grass while it was raining same thing, the internal padding got wet and made my feet freeze. Ended up leaving a day early with my boots wet I didn't have an extra pair of shoes. My biggest irritation with these shoes is that it specifically displays waterproof! They couldn't handle walking through wet grass. Me and my family all were Merrel fans and have purchased their boots growing up. Now never again tried to contact customer care and they wouldn't do anything about it since it's been too long. Do not buy these boots for water proof way to over priced and they don't even work ridiculously false marketing that is unfair to us consumers!

Bought these for a Spring hiking in the Rockys and was not disappointed. They kept my feet warm, dry and comfortable while providing ankle and sole support. The tread had a great grip in muddy conditions and was practically self cleaning. Hardly any breakin was required and the Moab 3 served me well for numerous days on the trail and on the sidewalks.

These Moabs are a great hiking shoe, with out-of-the-box comfort and virtually no break-in. Ive owned a few pair over the years and the Moab 3s continue to impress. Being from AZ, I used to opt for the non-waterproof model, but after relocating to the PNW, I went for the waterproof (Merrell waterproof, not GTX). Took them out on a spring hike along a local river, got them plenty wet, but had no issues with wet feet. My wife needed some waterproof day-hikers, so we bought her a pair the next week.

Unfortunately when I tried wearing the shoes around the house when they arrived, the top of the shoe dug Into my ankle and I knew i wouldnt be comfortable in them. Merrell is my go to shoe, I have many pairs, I buy wide waterproof, but unfortunately the mid height is not for me.

I love these shoes and will buy them again. Ive worn them every day on hard surfaces for 14 months and while they show wear they have a lot of life left in them. Im still using the original shoestrings. For the last 40 years Ive worn inexpensive shoes from Walmart or Big 5. With these Merrell shoes I spent more but got a lot moreA LOT more.

Great Comfortable hiker. My first pair of Moabs lasted 3 years and over 600 miles. I recently did start to feel wetness come through the right toe and just last week caught my toe on a root and tore the front alittle. I bought the same pair about 3 weeks ago, but Im still wearing the old ones. Ill break out the new ones soon.

Super comfortable. I love these shoes. I switched over from wearing the Salomon GTX Forces, and while I love my Salomons for work, the Moabs are way more comfortable for everyday use.

This is my second pair of Merrills. I bought the first pair about 10 years ago, and my recent purchase was just as good. No blisters, comfortable, with good Vibram soles and waterproof. I like them as my cold weather winter and spring hiking boot, when theres snow, mud and water on the trails. In the summer, I wear a lighter boot. Not to say that this boot is heavy, it does not feel heavy to me, it is warmer. I highly recommend these boots.

I have been a devotee of a competing brand. A couple of years ago I started wearing a pair that I had kept on the shelf for a while, so it was a couple of years since I had made a purchase. I ordered a pair that was the same make and model. They were of noticeably poorer quality- disappointed, I sent them back. Ordered this pair of Merrells and I love them. My only wish is that they were a little higher on the ankle. I wear them all day everyday and most of my outdoor activity is bicycling. Hope this continues. Well made and comfortable.

Purchased boots in January, comfortable with little break in needed. However, they are labeled as waterproof but while walking during rain they did get saturated and my feet wet. Waterproof is very important to me. Contacted customer service and I am 100% satisfied with there response time and solution. Nice when a company stands behind their products

I bought these boots a year ago. Love the fit, grip and durability. They have been waterproof for the past year with no issues. I put them on a week ago and my feet got soaked. This never happened before. Does the waterproof quality decrease after a year?
