I bought this shoe as a replacement for MQM Flex2 -- looking for a light weight, all around shoe, good on the trail, but comfortable for every day wear. The Moab 3 is advertised on the website as 11.7 oz per shoe. The overall fit was good, but the shoe felt heavy for everyday wear -- definitely heavier than what I was looking for. I put them on the scales and they weighed about 17 oz for a size 10.5 mens (and my scales are accurate). I contacted Merrell customer service and ordered Moab Speed which did weigh right at 12 oz on my scales -- a much lighter fit. I returned the Moab 3. I reported the weight discrepancy to customer service. The web-site needs to be updated.

Decent hiking shoe overall. Not too heavy, not super light. After some hiking and several miles wihh the a backpack, I would say that they're not the most comfortable shoe, although they could still break in a little more. However, the traction is a major step up from my old Merrell Pulsates. I went from boots to a shoe and had no problems on that front. Three stars for the reaction/grip of the outsole and for the color of the shoes (minus the laces). Two stars off at the moment for comfort.

Heel padding on wall of shoe wears out too soon. Merrill wouldn't do anything for me. A clear manufacturers defect they would not help me with.

I've worn Merrell shoes exclusively for 20 years. Bought these recently and I'm dissatisfied. The Moab 2 was always very comfortable. The 3 is not even close. The new heal support and insole is just not comfortable. I love the new colors just want the Moab 2 comfort back. Sorry.

When I received the Moab 3's, I immediately knew I was going to have a problem. Even though I ordered a D width, they looked very wide, and I have a very narrow foot. In fact, I was pretty sure I had been sent an E width in error. But after checking them out in-store, they are considered a D width. A was able to cinch them down enough, but not without distorting the shoe. Compared to other Merrell shoes I've owned, the Moab's were more true to size lengthwise, but what happened to the width? Disappointing. They had to go back.

These were comfortable when I tried them on, but after walking in them, my back hurt, my knee hurt, and my foot hurt. They’re going back.

I gave these a try based on lots of positive reviews but for me, they have no real support where I need it. I even tried replacing the insoles with something else and still found then to be very uncomfortable. On to of that, they look wide and stubby on my feet. Returning.

I have 2 pairs from before in size 10 ( 28cm) J037749. They are almost perfect, but they could be wider. Therefore I ordered this Wide version of the same size. However, the insole is not 28cm anymore but 28,7 so someting like a 10,5 or even a 11. Then its far to long for me. Tried to communicate with Merrell Europe, but they did not care. I'm just wondering whats happening. On noth there is number 10 on the insole. Now I have to send these back and try to order 9 or 9.5. But then I'm not sure if they are going to be wider than the normal size 10. Arghhhh.
I'm just wondering if the whole "Wide" model is a scam, and its only one normal size bigger....

There's a reason why I specifically purchase Merrell shoes; however, these were a disappointment. I buy these for work since I'm constantly on my feet, and the arch support is unbeatable. Yet within the span of a year the mesh is torn in multiple places on both shoes.

Disappointed. The MOAB 3 is a downgrade from the MOAB 2. There is little top protection for your toes, the stitching has loose threads all over, and the inserts offer no cushion. I wish I had returned these for a refund. I've owned 4 pairs of the MOAB 2. Sadly history will not be repeating itself

After having a pair of these for less than a month, a bit of the stitching is already coming out. Disappointed. My last pair of Moabs lasted several years, and took a lot of wear. They were still in pretty good condition when I donated them, as I needed a slightly larger size. This new pair fit well, but I am not confident that the quality is there.

First of all, I love Merrells. I have had many different shoes from them over the years. I bought this style about 10 years back and I loved them and wore them everywhere until there was nothing left! I bought the same style about 3 months ago in the medium width as my new replacement. Unfortunately they feel so wide, and the insole really does not feel adequate. The length feels just alright, maybe even a quarter size larger than my previous pair in the same size. I have tried new insoles to fill up the dead space, but I have even resorted to wearing two pairs of socks... Im disappointed and I'm worried that it could cause an injury down the road.

the Merrell company and its products, the quality is not what it used to be, natural leather is rubber, they probably make these kind of shoes out of "clay and sticks", I wore my first Merell sneakers for 7 years, you upset us customers

I've been buy Merrell Moab shoes for several years, and for some reason, these did not fit, even though they were 12M. Also, one pair was exchanged because of a stitching issue with one of the shoes.

Ordered a 10.5W for my husband, because he didn't want to have to "break-in" a new pair of shoes. However, the wide was way too wide and roomy. Went back and ordered the 10.5M...perfect.

I used to be the biggest Moab fan, but the design has completely changed and they are unwearable. I hadn't had them in a handful of years and I thought maybe they had fixed the design, but sadly not.

I don't know the exact date it changed but Merrell shoes use to be the most comfortable for my size 15 foot. I have been wearing them for years and never had a better shoe. Sometime during COVID though the build quality of the shoes changed. The outside seems the same but the cushion inside is just horrible. These shoes I had high hopes for but I am returning them because it's like wearing shoes with the insole over a bed of rocks. This is how they felt the last time I purchased a pair as well. I thought now that I was down a considerable amount of weight that maybe they would feel different but no.

funny , i owned merrell years ago and quite liked them, these not so much - either my foot got narrower or your lasts got wider so my foot moves around in them more than i like. except for that no issues, came quickly and seem well built
