Worn them for a few hikes and they are solid on rugged trails, I walk on pavement with them and find they are a bit hard but love them anyway, basically you get what you pay for an ok hiking shoe

I've worn Merrell shoes exclusively for 20 years. Bought these recently and I'm dissatisfied. The Moab 2 was always very comfortable. The 3 is not even close. The new heal support and insole is just not comfortable. I love the new colors just want the Moab 2 comfort back. Sorry.

Comfortable shoes for long walks across Spain and Portugal. These shoes and great socks have prevented blisters on the Camino de Santiago.

I've used Merrell hikers as my everyday shoe since about 2006. I went a little crazy this year and got a pair that wasn't brown. Love them.

The shoes are great but the insoles offer no support. For the price I would expect better comfort

Fit perfectly. Great for my daily three mile hike up hill/down hill without slipping. Love and need the soles.

I had high hopes when I heard about the Moab 3 being introduced, but come to find out the medium width is still like a wide width in most any other hiking shoe - disappointing. About 3-4 years ago, Merrell Moab Ventilators in a medium (normal) width became a "wide width shoe" with the Moab 2 - like wearing clown shoes. If you had anywhere near a normal to narrow foot, forget it.

I am accustomed to walking in Brooks shoes, which have a slightly larger toebox. I found this shoe to be tight in the topbox area and opted for a half size larger for that reason. Otherwise this shoe is good.

I'm a woman with short, wide feet. Some shoes fit with D width, but I erred on the side of caution and got the W (EE) in these-they are PERFECT! Don't slip off my heel in the back, but plenty of room for my toes and tailor's bunion in the forefoot. Exactly what I've been looking for! Should have tried these first and saved myself a lot of trouble trying on and returning other brands.

Well made, a good fit hiker. For me, no break in period, the hiker feels good from the start for some long distance hiking.

Great shoe which I order every time the last pair wears out, after a great deal of use. First time I ordered on line and that was a great experience.

Great everywhere everyday hiking shoe. I was looking for a low top. I need something with a bigger toe box and good support. This fits the bill. Comfortable.

After purchasing half a dozen pairs of this shoe over the past few years I was disappointed with the fit of this pair. They are usually a comfortable fit right out of the box. This pair (different manufacturing process?)does not have the usual smooth transition between the body of the shoe and the toe. As well the sides of the tongue di not sit flat as previous pairs have. Usable but not what I have come to expect.

Lightweight. Planted feel. Sturdy sole with arch support. Toe box and overall shoe is on the large side. I normally wear 11 but could have used 10.5 on those. The 11 still fits well and leave room for thick socks if needed.

When I received the Moab 3's, I immediately knew I was going to have a problem. Even though I ordered a D width, they looked very wide, and I have a very narrow foot. In fact, I was pretty sure I had been sent an E width in error. But after checking them out in-store, they are considered a D width. A was able to cinch them down enough, but not without distorting the shoe. Compared to other Merrell shoes I've owned, the Moab's were more true to size lengthwise, but what happened to the width? Disappointing. They had to go back.
