I bought these for my son's birthday. He has been wearing your shoes for years. His old pair said size 12 Wide so that's what I bought him. He says the new pair slips off his heels when he walks. He's afraid to get 11.5 Wide for fear they'll be too short & hurt his toes so he's keeping them. Other than that, he loves these shoes. He's been a customer for 10 years.

I like them very much; however, these are low profile and I decided that a mid height boot would be better.

For many years now I've been exclusive to the Merrell Moab series of shoes. Its one of the only shoes that just works right out of the box for me. No breaking in required. The comfort and durability are unmatched in my experience.

Similar to the moab 2, fits great and this one is already my new daily shoe. Went for the non-goretext option for hotter weather here. Previous moab2 was goretex and they would get pretty hot. Having used both the vented and waterproof, I'll be going with the vented going forward.

Great shoe and sole. Bought these because they had a Vibram sole.

I did my research and found out how great these vent hiking shoes have been for a long time. So this is now the 3rd gen and I do like the look:)

I've been a huge fan of the Moab 2 and ordered the Moab 3 immediately when I saw it on Merrell's website. Very supportive and incredibly durable and breathable, as always. Couldn't imagine backpacking with anything else. Did 16 miles yesterday and on the tough Arizona trail - these were amazing.

Shoe looked as depicted in photos. Very sturdy, however the toe box area had some issues (stitching??) with rubbing against top of toes.

Very pleased with my purchase Merrel quality has always been exceptional. I have 2 pairs of extreme weather gortex hiking boots that Ive had for 10 years plus, and have never had an issue other than a shoestring. The Vibram soles are still in great shape despite numerous trips to Colorado, Yosemite, and Cloudcroft N.M and miles of walking & climbing! You can't go wrong with Merrell.

So far these are the best shoes I've ever had. Lets see how long they last.

They are really comfortable and feel lighter than the older Moabs. My only complaint is that the shoestrings come untied when I run, unless I remember to double knot them. I ended up replacing them.

I'm switching gradually from hiking boots to lighter, lower-cut shoes, so the Moab 3 was my choice. I really like the aggressive tread pattern and the overall feel of the shoe. I was concerned they would feel squirrelly in the loose rock that prevails out in the mountain west, but that was not the case at all. I feel like I have more energy and agility because of the lighter weight of these shoes, and I find them very comfortable overall. I haven't gone backpacking with these yet, so I'm still hanging on to my boots for now. But I have a feeling they'll be getting sold or donated soon...

I have been a long time Merrell fan, and the new Moab 3 doesn't disappoint. It has a wide, comfortable toe box, and the lace closure system works well. The insole is of exceptionally good quality and the shoe needs minimal break in if at all. The non waterproof shoe breathes well, and is good for a day out and about, or a day on the trail. The styling is ruggedly pleasing, with jeans or hiking shorts, and fits my sense of style well. From my past experience with Merrell shoes, I expect this pair to give me good use with no issues. The sole will outlast the uppers, and the uppers will give good life, the length determined by the use. My past Merrells have lasted me for years, used as a general daily wear shoe for performing work around the house and for around town use. They are also at home on dirt trails with the well lugged outer soles, though I find them a bit heavy for long, demanding day hikes compared to the new genre of trail running shoes. That said, for the occasional hiker, these shoes are comfortable on the trail and are perfectly capable of handling demanding terrain.

I have been buying Merrell's in the same size through Zappos for a decade. These shoes were terrible. The left shoe fit poorly, and the right shoe was at least a size too large. Also, the right shoe was very poorly made compared to the left shoe - really shoddy. Don't know what's happened to Merrell, but I will never buy Merrell again. These are being returned.

Purchased three months ago. Over 70 and have worn merrell shoes exclusively for over 10 years and this Moab 3 is an improvement.. Exact sized wide width with wider toe and more cushion foot bed for comfort. Shoe seems lighter with great support and better traction sole.
