I surprised my husband with his 5th pair of Merrell's, he's been a longtime fan of this brand, particularly because they are so comfortable and offer a true wide which is hard to find. Unfortunately, this model runs small, as soon as I opened the box I noticed, visually, the shoe appeared smaller than his other Merrell's. I did a side-by-side comparison with his other Merrel's and sure enough, there is an obvious difference in the width. When he tried them on, they were too snug on the toes. Unfortunately, these are going back.

Wanted to love these. They look awesome and the fit felt great. Unfortunately they wear a painful spot into the outer ankle on one of my feet and pinched the pinky toe on the other foot. Can't wear them without being in pain.

The heel folds when you try to put it on, no vision like my last pair, uncomfortable , I was shocked my last pair were perfect!

I either had bad luck with three pairs in a row, or quality has gone down. Sole began separating with < 50 miles on my last three pairs. I had to make the jump to a different boot as a result.

Moab 2 seemed like boots. Moab 3 feel like tennis shoes. To me the Moab 3 seem to be lighter and have less mass in the sole, but not in a good way. I wear my shoe on a concrete floor at a big box store, hiking and working at home outside. I could wear the Moab 2 and just go. My feet felt secure. With the Moab 3 i can feel every little nuance of the ground...cracks in the floor, rocks, bumps and such. The Moab 3 toe box seems smaller and the whole shoe seems to run on the small side. Just disappointed in them for the price.

Not what they once were still a great shoe just made more cheaply. After one week my heel pad already bent out of shape.

I got these for my mom and she loves them. She isn't very active in them, just wears them to work and I saw her glueing the sole of the shoe back together the other day. I am looking at getting her another pair but maybe in mens? I am hoping the mens shoes may be built for a heavier frame and will hold up better. This is great brand and typically durable and high quality but I am disappointed in the quality of this most recent pair I've gotten my mom because they didn't even last a year with her low activity and frequent use so the problem isn't dry rot from sitting.

Work and only work, yeah a wonderful guarantee, but they break down after six months of checking fields wet/dry using 12+ hours per day. Honestly going to receive a refund after that? Let me see where is my receipt?

Great shoes, but the sole started coming off, of both shoes, after about six months of wear.

Lasted a month of barely any use. They exploded on me, both completely fell apart. Lucky the return policy was still in effect. Very disappointed. This brand is usually high quality...then again shrinkflation.

I have used Merrell shoes for several years. The Erie was probably the best all around that I recall. The Moab 3 is undoubtedly one of the worst shoes on the market. I have had shoes that cost a lot less that were so much better than these. They are not true to size and if you get within a mile of water, they leak like crazy. Waterproof should not be a word used in their description. I usually don't write reviews but these are so bad that they just demand it.

I have had this pair for about 6 months. I have worn MOAB 2s for several years, deployed and home. I walk about 4 miles a day in them. Never an issue with the 2s. Initially I was curious as to why a company would change their flagship model, but thought I would give them a go. New is better, right? WRONG! The MOAB 3 is TRASH. There should be an option to give zero stars; it is what these boots have earned. I don't know what you did to these, but they are complete garbage compared to the 2. The heel cup is just weird, and has never fit correctly. The new sole is "Meh" at best. I have already broken a lace eyelet thing. Go back to making the MOAB 2s. Just because you did "something" doesn't make them better.

unfortunately the shoe was very uncomfortable , during my hike. I've has Merrills in the past, and they were very comfortable, so I was surprised to find out that these weren't. Sadly enough, I won't be wearing these pair again.
