I love it, it's warm and the sleeves are good and the pockets. But it's a little tight getting it off, over my head, the bottom is kind of small - but that is good when I am wearing it! Someone heftier than me might have a problem.G

It was a miracle price at $39 only in this color which is a great color just didn't look right on me. The quality appears fine with a nice big roomy pocket. Unfortunately I had to send it back. Darn

I like it! It fits nicely, it's fairly warm. Good purchase.

This pullover is beefy and warm. If fit well around the shoulders and chest. But, it was cut so big in the middle that if felt like I was wearing a smock. Back it went.

I have a few fleece sweaters from a few other brands and realize the fit varies. I got a Large in this one as it as described as "slightly fitted" which led me to expect it would fit my frame well. It is not at all fitted - it wears like it was designed for someone with much more mass and heft than me. Arm length is slightly long too, but that is easy to correct with an alteration if desired. But the overall fit with the arm pouch and loose bottom is just too large and baggy. It would not look good in a business-casual setting. That being said, it is very warm and feels well-made, so I think I'll try exchanging for a medium.

PRO'S: This is a great pullover, I think it pulls double duty because it's warm for work or outdoor wear and it also looks really nice and can be worn with nice jeans for a casual look. It's well-made (with one exception, see below) and washes up well. My husband liked the first one so much that I got him another one and I'll be picking up a few more for Christmas. That's really saying something because he doesn't care about clothes at all unless he really likes the item. He wears them over the thick Carhartt t-shirts all winter for work and he rarely needs a coat unless he's going to be outside for an extended amount of time. CON'S: PLEASE, PLEASE do something about the pocket, why would you not at least tack the pocket at intervals all the way around on the inside of the sweater? With only keys and a wallet, the pocket fabric droops down 2 or 3 inches below the hem of the sweater making it look stretched and sloppy. I took a whole star off for this reason. After a year of wear, the pocket will eventually droop down all the time even with nothing in it. Again, he's never over loaded the pocket, it's just poorly made. Also, tall sizes would be nice. Over all, I highly recommend this pullover, just be careful with the pocket.

The LL Bean Sweater Fleece is such a great value, especially when you nab one on sale. It performs comparably to offerings from other brands at a lower price point. My only request would be to have a touch slimmer fit. It is slightly boxy on me and doesn't look as polished as it should for this style.

Great quality. Nice material and workmanship. Fit well across the shoulders and chest. The only problem was that the sleeves were way too long. Although there were banded cuffs, they were not tight enough to keep the sleeves in place at or above wrist level. My local seamstress tightened the cuffs for a nominal fee and all is well.

Fit's great for my build, and is comfy as a sweater fleece can be. Only things that could bump this up to 5 stars are: 1) Include a draw cord or some form of elasticity to the waistline/bottom of the pullover. 2) Make the elastic on the cuffs more.. elastic. Cuffs seem like someone's already worn the thing for a few years with the sleeves pulled up to their forearms. 3) Add a zippered/snap-close chest pocket 4) Make the logo bigger. I'm a huge fan of the retro LL Bean logo :)

I just purchased a Mountain Red sweater fleece. Upon receipt I found that the sleeve cuffs were at least an inch larger in circumference (i.e., a looser fit) than the previous three sweater fleeces I'd bought in the past three months, which were a perfect fit. Quality control?

I purchased this to replace a fleece of the same design. I would prefer the fleece. The sleeves on the sweater are tailored and difficult to slide over a flannel shirt. Also, they are about 2 inches too long. Earlier reviews commented that the pocket hung below the hem, if an heavy item, like a cell phone, is stored in it. This has not been corrected.

I bought this as a gift for my father, and it was perfect. High quality, soft, and classy looking. He told me he was glad it ran slightly large, so I'll take his word for that. He also said that it is warm and cozy. I bought the clay heather color, which has a rich timeless look. I think it will get a lot of wear and last a long time. Very light weight. Highly recommend. Only flaw is the very big logo on the chest. I'd wanted to have it monogrammed but was told they don't monogram this sweater - perhaps due to the logo, I'm not sure.

Love this sweater and wear it everywhere. I wash and dry it inside out to keep it from catching on any buttons or snaps in the washer, just in case. However, I'm disappointed to see that after about a year of light use, the sticking around the pockets is beginning to stretch out. If it wasn't for this quality issue, it'd be a perfect sweater.

Got this for my husband. This is the third sweater and ordering another soon. He enjoys these all winter. We live in NH. He wears one almost every day and looks good. Only problem is pilling on the front after a lot of wear. Wish that could be prevented as the sweater is otherwise still in good shape.

Overall, it is a quality product. However, I find the snaps a little unwieldy and the sleeves a bit too long. Would I have bought it had it not been discounted 20%? No.

Nice item but too large. My size is medium and I ordered medium. This item fit like a large.

I ordered this for my son who is 6'3". While it did fit, it would have been a much nicer fit if it had been about 2 to 3 inches longer. That's why the 4-star rating. I ordered a 2XX Tall. But, having stated that, we love LLBean

Not as fitted at waist as expected but nicely made fleece

This is a well made item, which I found to fit true to size. However, as other reviewers have noted, there is a flaw with the built-in pocket, which tends to hang below the bottom hem of the fleece. This makes the item look sloppy.

I initially bought a similar item from LL Bean, and I loved it so I bought this item. Both are the same size (tall large) but this item fits larger. It's small enough to where I can gain some weight and fit into it, or wash to shrink it however.This must just be a aspect to be considered when making this purchase. Overall still the great LL Bean quality and warmth we all love :)

great fit, looks great, have two colors; but, the pocket in front hangs down below the front edge (and people looking at you see it) if you have anything in the pocket....this needs to be fixed with better stitching or design

Great fleece. Very warm and cozy. Stylish too. The only issue I have is that it is too big around the waist, a slimmer cut would be much more ideal with this type of garment.

Love it, except for the length...too short!

I love the fun colors that are offered! I purchased the mustard color, and it's a great way to liven up the dark, drab colors of winter. It's warm, soft, and sturdy. It is a bit large, with some extra room in the belly area. If it were more fitted, it would be perfect!
