I received this sweater in Charcoal for Christmas almost three years ago and every time the temperature dips, this sweater comes out. The wool is excellent, not too soft (it's not cashmere, after all) and not too scratchy. It feels rugged and durable and always looks good over a button-up shirt or under a denim jacket, chore coat, trench, or even a wool blazer. I farmed two seasons in the colder months (in the Shenandoah Valley, Virginia) using this sweater as a layering piece; I never once questioned this sweater's utility. I dare you to try to find a better sweater at this price-point. I'm itching to buy another one, but I'll probably take this one to my grave. Just a tip: I am 6ft, 150 lbs, skinny (suit size 36R). I bought a medium and I almost never wash it, which means the more I wear it, the more it stretches and slouches a bit. If you wear a size medium t-shirt and you want something that fits a little more snugly, get the small.

Great sweater! Roomy! (almost too roomy) Seems to grow as I wear it. I am a true medium and now it's like a ML. Will washing bring back to its original size? Great knit and very few pills.

My wife bought me one for Christmas and I love it. The fit is great, it is very warm and comfortable. I loved it so much, I got another in a different color.

Well made comfort classic. My son doesn't like many things that we buy for him, but this was his favorite gift. If you are looking for a gift for someone in the 20+ crowd who is earth-conscious, doesn't like showy things, and appreciates well-made things that will last (to reduce unnecessary waste in this world), you've found yourself the perfect gift! It's nice to see some things are still well-made products that we can count on. The fit, the color, the quality of the fabric - A+!

My son loved the color and sweater but the type of wool is a rough material, because of that he has to use an underwear shirt underneath the sweater.

My son wanted a sweater of natural fibers. This wool sweater is soft and fits him perfectly. He loves it!

It fits nicely, sometimes too warm when transitioning from out to indoors. LL Bean needs to sell more tall clothing for the perfect fit

I had a raggwool sweater years ago and decided to get another. What a great move. It's a classic that will always be fashionable. Most comment they are "true to size" but I exchanged my XL for a XXL. If undecided, go with the larger.

Great looking, high quality sweater. Super warm. I'm 5'6" tall about 165 lbs. 42" chest. I bought a size medium. This sweater fits well, I wouldn't mind if it were a tad bigger, but it may stretch out over time.
