Usually L L Bean gets a 5 star from me but these PJ's, for the price, are a disappointment.
The waist band is very tight & uncomfortable. I did not expect the flannel to be tissue paper thin.

The material was nice but they are too long for my 5'9 husband. Sizing description wasn't accurate.

The pajamas pattern and softness are nice. The main problem is that the Tall XL shirt is way too big. I'm 6'5, but this would fit a 7 footer. the stomach and chest are way too roomy. The arms are a bit too long. And the top button is too low, so it feels as if I need to wear a scarf.
The pants aren't as baggy as the natural fit, unfortunately. As for the warmth, you'll still need a blanket. They're not nearly as warm as my current pajamas: sweats and a fleece sweatshirt.
I really wanted to like them, but because of the fit and lack of warmth, I can't.

Image shown not purchased. 2 Wash cycles, cold H2O: pilling is atrocious. Tags large & irritating. If cut off they scrape.

After several washing this product still produces small cotton balls that are evident on the bed sheets. I would not buy this item again.

My teen is 5'9" and so the regular length fits him. He's still growing so I will need to choose the taller length next fall. One seam came undone in the first week so I repaired it with my sewing machine. Last fall I bought him a flannel pajamas set at a bargain store. The quality was similar as these so I'm not sure these are worth the high price I paid. My teen says these new ones are softer and warmer than the bargain pair. But after a few weeks of use the fabric looks hairy / roughed up. I like that they are 100% cotton. I like that I there is a longer size available.

I like the pajama set, but so far I have only worn the shirt. The elastic band on the pants is too tight. I have the pants stretched and hanging on a closet door to try to loosen the elastic band. After two weeks, not much improvement. Someone maybe can tell me how to fix this. BTW, I am very thin. Everyone says so. I am 6' tall and weigh 140 lbs.

The flannel just wasn't as thick or cozy as what we've come to expect from LL Bean. We returned.

I was so impressed after receiving this item that I immediately purchased two more pairs in different colors, but now I'm thinking that may have been a mistake. I've been wearing them less than a week and, just now, the crotch seam separated. I knelt to pick something up from the floor and heard a ripping sound. Low and behold, the crotch seam separated. It is not like they're tight on me, in fact, they're a little baggy on me. I've never had pajamas do that before. So now it'll cost me time and at least $6.50 if I decide to return them. I'm going to ask my wife if she can sew it back together just to save on the hassle. The other two I order just came now and are sitting on the kitchen table. I'm debating on whether I should bother to open the package. :-(

The fit was fine except that the legs of the pants were too short. He wears a regular in all pants; the legs of these pajamas stopped about an inch or more above his ankles. Also the fabric seemed quite thin.

The product itself was very nice. They were the wrong size. After sending them back, we received a letter with a check saying that LLBean cannot fulfill the change of size request as they do not have any more product in stock. Very disappointed as this was a gift for my father for the holidays. Now he has a check and no warm pjs.

The pajamas are very nice, but you charge an exorbitant price for them! And no sales any more. You have to move fast to get 10%. And don't miss it because it wont be offered again!

I washed the pajamas and while the pants fit well the top shrunk and is now tight across the shoulders. Normally I am OK with medium tops. I need a large top so after shrinkage it will fit correctly. I am willing to purchase a large top separately.

The PJs look good, fit well and are warm and comfortable. However after washing as directed the lint coming off the inside and the outside is copious! Some in big globs! I hung to dry because I saw a lot of lint in the washer and I didn't dare dry it. I brushed and shook off the pajamas after they dried and the lint on the floor was unbelievable. I vacuumed it up with a canister vacuum and the lint swirled in large clumps inside the canister. So there was a good part of the garment I purchased swirling around inside a vacuum cleaner. To be fair the pajamas were washed separately but as directed because I always wash dark colored clothes separately the first time to avoid dye transfer. I also always hang flannels up to dry because I believe it helps them last longer. All my flannel pajamas have come from LL Bean over the last 20-30 years and all have some loose lint after the initial wash but this was the most I have ever seen. The lint is still falling of of them. The price is also the most I've ever seen. It seems to me that the last time I bought flannels was about 2 years ago and this is about a 100% price increase. So instead of buying my usual 2 I just bought 1.

20 years ago I purchased these pyjamas and afterwards about 10 years later again, they were perfect. After getting a better job and a better salary I moved up pyjama wise as well and bought my Flannels from a UK-based store. They were quite expensive, double price compared with LL-Bean's. After some time I found out that it was simply not worth the higher investment, so I returned to LL-Bean. Last year I bought 3 new sets (the UK ones were degraded to rags), had the trousers shortened by my tailor after 3 washes and took them out a few weeks ago as it became colder. Now all fine so far; no lint in the washer, trousers fit perfect, the waist is a bit smaller, but the shirt ... Here's the problem; it is smaller than my old ones, it is a slimmer fit, still a medium but different cut, not the traditional one I got used to. The shirt is so uncomfortable it is hard to sleep in, they twist at the arms and limit my movement. The armholes are too small, ok I gained a bit, but I still wear a Medium in the chamois shirts, which I think have become a bit larger in cut, but anyway. In the future I will only buy the trousers I guess. LL-Bean; don't change the design of something that always worked in the past. Don't try to re-invent the wheel, and don't try to go cheap, be LL-Bean.

I was pleased with the quality of the flannel, but the Large size which is normally the right size for me was more like XXL with sleeves too long and trousers that were so long you could trip on them if not being careful. I will have to spend money to have them altered at my own expense on top of the $85+ I spent on the purchase

For $80 I expected the material to be nice thick flannel. It was T-shirt thickness Could see through it if I held it up to the light. I can get better at retsil stores.

Following advice from other reviewers, I washed the pajamas separately. I had to clean the dryer twice before they were even dry. The second washing produced the same resultso much lint in the washer, dryer, and on the garment. My husband never got to wear them as I returned them.

Bought these for my dad and he said the waist was just too tight -- disproportionately smaller than an AdultM sizing. Had to return them.

Material and fit was good. The material that folds over in the front (both sides) is loose and not sown done. Did not lay flat, pushed the collar out of shape, and was uncomfortable. These would be perfect if greater effort was made to completely sew the garment and try to just get by. These were returned.
