Other than a concern about size (which can be remedied), these pajamas do not have a "fly" as it is called on men's pants. It is useful when one has to go to the toilet while standing up. These pajamas do not have this opening, which would allow men to go to the bathroom, especially at night, without having to pull their pajamas down. Perhaps an embarrassing subject, but a very real need.

I had previously purchased a pajama set. I needed to replace the pants. Went to a local Bean store and bought the pants. Unfortunately I discovered they did not have a fly. I returned the pants and the clerk told me that only the pants in the pajama sets have flies. Doesn't make sense to me. If the sets have flies, why not the stand alone pants? I found good flannel pants in the same pattern with a fly at another vendor.

This is a beautiful product and very well made. I ordered 2 pair. Upon receipt, I discovered that there was no fly!!! When you had to relieve yourself, you had to take the pants off. Weird, I have never owned a pair of lounge pants with no fly. I would buy these again if a fly was installed on the men's model. The only reason I rated the product a 2 star was the missing fly. I think for most men this is important.

I have purchased these pants before and loved them for my son. These last ones I purchased do not fit the same much smaller. Hard for me to believe it is same pant and from LL Bean. I would not recommend them like I did before. Very disappointed.

I was very disappointed in these "sleep pants". As the description indicates, the are for sleeping, as in pajamas. No where does it indicate there isn't a fly, which I would gladly trade for both pockets! In the past I have purchased what appeared to be identical looking flannel pajamas.
Don't be fooled!
I purchased two pair of these, and now I'm going to have to pay a tailor to fabricate a fly....

Like many things I buy, it was too long in the legs. However, fabric is easy to hem. I need inseam 29 inches, so I took off about 2 inches on the length. I washed & dried several times before hemming, to account for shrinkage - it lost only 1/2 inch in length. The biggest disappointment with this product is the pilling. To me, this speaks of low quality. For the advertised price, I was expecting something that would hold a nice appearance after washing.

Black Watch. I first washed the garment so as lint wouldn't get on other wash. After drying the lint filter was thick with blue/black lint. There so much I washed and dried them again. Again the lint filter was thick with blue/black lint. This occurred 4 times. I couldn't believe there was any fabric left. On the fifth washing I added some other wash and every item was covered in lint. I put the items in the dryer and again it came back full of lint. After the 5th wash and dry I wore them and then noticed partials of lint on the floor. This was over a 4 day period. I finally decided to send them back. Color: Black Watch

These are comfy and warm but already coming apart in two places after only having them for one year. Really disappointed that LL Bean stuff no longer seems to last

CLOGGED MY WASHING MACHINE WITH LINT. I COULDN'T BELIEVE THE AMOUNT OF LINT THAT CAME OFF THE PAJAMAS. I HAD TO WASH AND DRY THEM TWICE BEFORE MY HUSBAND COULD WEAR THEM. AND I HAD TO TAKE THEM OUTSIDE TO SHAKE THEM OUT BEFORE I PUT THEM IN THE DRYER. THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED TO ME WITH PAJAMAS FROM OTHER STORES. AND I PAID THREE TIMES THE PRICE FOR THEM AT LLBEAN.

The only pair of Men's pajama pants the recipient has ever had that did not have a fly/flap in the front. We're talking 63+ years of pajama pants and this was a shock, only discovered after he cut the tag off. So, if you're in a hurry...

Would buy two pairs if they had button fly. Tall sizes a plus!

As with most clothing retailers, tall also means fat. Heaven forbid if you're over 6 ft and have a 36 or less waist, these pants just rocket to the ground. These pants provide the extra negative feature of a drawstring that only allows you to tighten the waist so much - you can't tighten the waist past a certain point - and that is a waist somewhere a smidge over 36. Typical for sewn in China, one size fits most. Return.

These pants looked good but as a female buying for my son I didn't consider whether there was a fly or not. He'll wear them but asked I never buy them again.

This was a replacement for the one I bought several years ago that wore out. Great in every way... except no fly. Besides the obvious disadvantage, you can't hang it on a hook any more. It has a vaguely feminine feel to it. This was obvious a cost-saving idea that backfired.

I ordered the tall as I have a long inseam (usually a 36 in jeans) but these talls barely hit the tops of my feet, and I'm sure once washed would have shrunk in length further. Website says the talls have an inseam of 33 but I gave it a shot anyway. How is 33 even tall? Longer gives the opportunity to hem if needed.

Although the material and workmanship are fine the design is very inconvenient. Be aware that these sleep pants do not have a fly. Although that is pointed out in the description many buyers will, like me, miss it. If that is important to you look elsewhere.

These are great as far as feel and wear they are warm and soft but as others have pointed out, there is no fly in the pants so it is difficult if you need to use the bathroom. I have other less quality and thinner flannels from another brand and I find I wear them more because they have a fly with buttons as well. These just sit in the drawer. I ordered two pair but I will say the tops (sold separately) are very nice and wear well.

Pants are way too baggy and long. Also, there's no opening for using bathroom, so pants need to be lowered. I suppose that omission was designed to lower cost. The flannel is soft and without defect.

Please return the fly to men's sleepwear. It's terrifically inconvenient without it. Your PJs are great in all other aspects.

Bought these last November as part of my husband's Christmas presents. He liked them but after very little wear the stiching in the crotch area failed and the material started to unravel. So no, unlike the other pjs bought @ LLBean, would not recommend these.

Quality of these flannel pajamas appear to be good, but beware: the colors of the product shots are very misleading.
The color in the Blue MacKellar photo is particularly off;in reality the pajamas are much darker, more brown than yellow and grey, and a bit grim overall.
I've found this same problem with other product photos of LL Bean flannels (pajamas, shirts, etc) the colors are punched up and saturated beyond what's real.
Overall, I'm disappointed. Feels like false advertising from a brand I've trusted.
