I have had this hoodie about 5-6 months now and I really like how it looks and fits. (However I don't believe it is slightly fitted as I have a stocky broad build and it's plenty roomy.) I wear it frequently.
Quality:
The problem is, like so many other Bean products these days, the (lack of) quality. The snaps are pulling out of the fabric already, starting with the sleeves. It looks like a few more are getting loose and ready to pull out. They don't tear; the thin fabric just comes right out of the gripper, leaving holes. Not even a year's worth of wear and it's shot. I can't stand the sleeves not fastening right now. It also pilled a bit the first time I washed it.
I have Bean products I bought when I was in college that I still wear/use and I am getting near 60 now. The newer stuff in recent years does not compare.
Price:
This item was extremely overpriced given the quality issues mentioned above AND the weight of the fabric. It should have been much heftier flannel. I don't actually mind the weight it is, but it really should have been half the price.
I will think twice before buying from Bean again, which is sad, as at one time I bought about 75% of my wardrobe here.
Really I think it should be replaced but I doubt Bean will stand behind the product now.

OK, this is a nice shirt, but I ordered it by mistake. I thought I was purchasing the warmer, more substantial fleece-lined hoodie like I have purchased in the past. The price was quite high in my opinion, but I really like the fleece-lined hoodies so I was willing to check it out. Much to my surprise this was just a flannel hoodie with nice snaps, but still way and I mean WAY overpriced, coming in at over $90.... for a simple flannel shirt with a hood, snaps, and pockets... I contacted LLBean as soon as realized that I had ordered the wrong shirt. Contacted them within a couple hours of my placing the order online. They couldn't stop the order so I had to wait for the package to arrive and then return it. I have been an LLBean customer for years, but this experience has really made me rethink my dedication to this company.

Found this to be poor quality for the price. Felt like it came from a discount retailer. returned

Wasn't much of an option left online or in store. So I want with this, considering it doesn't have lining I think its pretty warm. Reason for the 3 star review... what makes this and 80-100$ jacket? Still trying to figure that out.

I would recommend ordering a size smaller than you normally wear, these run very large.

Great fabric, super styling and features but it's fitted for quite a large man. I'm a 6', 180 pound male with relatively broad shoulders and trim waist. Size Large-regular is cut disappointingly full, feel like I'm wearing a flowing blanket or something. I'm pretty sure a size medium would be way too tight for me in the shoulders, chest and arms. Would be great if you'd offer this in a cut that fits more closely for athletic builds or even for a normal dad-bod. Love it otherwise (and wear it anyway) but I'm really bummed about the giant beer belly cut.

Ll bean seems to not make clothes for people who aren't models for their catalogues. That is, real people. Face it well upholstered guys - ll bean doesnt make clothes for us. Order something that fits around
Our chest and midsection (xl) and the sleeves are going to be 2-3" too long.

The flannel shirt felt comfortable but the first and only wearing the fabric pilled. I returned it.

Will be contacting customer service. The cuffs on the flannel are two different sizes. One hand slips through the cuff buttoned easily but the other cuff is 1/4-1/2" smaller in material.

I've bought two of these; the latest one was flawed in that the color was strangely faded, washed-out in comparison to the first. Otherwise the quality was comparable.

I am Very disappointed in this flannel hoodie. The materials don't hold up to being laundered like similar ll bean products that i've purchased in the past!

I live in upstate NY and the cold weather made the snap break so the middle part of the jacket doesn't snap see picture below. I really like the jacket and I still wear it. I have had the jacket for about 2 months and I can't find my receipt. I gave it a 2 star and yes I would recommend it for a friend its a good item... I understand snap happens :)

The quality was very deficent... it was nowhere near what a shirt jacket should be judging from those I've purchased in the past from LL Bean. It was extremely light weight. Would not buy this again.

I received this shirt-jac January 12; first wore it two days later, January 14. Twelve days after that (January 26), I discovered that its locker loop had unraveled and torn loose (see accompanying photo). I had hung it by the loop a few times; it wasn't tugged on, nor was there anything in its pockets. I have old jackets and shirts that I've been hanging by their locker loops literally for decades.
In another review, a customer asked, "Reason for the 3 star review: what makes this an $80-100 jacket? Still trying to figure that out." Now I'm wondering the same thing. It's just cotton flannel, not lined or anything. But with a defect developing after less than two weeks, I'm now wondering where else it's going to come apart. Definitely seems less than my $80 worth.
I notice a few customers criticized this shirt-jac's fit. One stated "Would be great if you'd offer this in a cut that fits more closely for athletic builds or even for a normal dad-bod. Love it otherwise (and wear it anyway) but I'm really bummed about the giant beer belly cut." Well-said. I'm fit with good figure, but this hoodie makes me look pear-shaped. So it's good for layering, but I wouldn't wear it as outerwear. (Which is too bad, since it has hand-warmer pockets.) Plus, the torn locker loop greatly decreases its utility; I really value those for hanging jackets up.
There ARE pluses: the flannel seems nice, the plaid looks great, I like snaps instead of buttons, the hood is useful... but overall, I'm disappointed.

Shirt fits beautifully for a tall person. The first time I wore it a button fell off after 2 hours. The flannel is very thin and not as warm as most I've owned. More like a dress shirt.

The snap on the sleeve pulled out the first time the shirt was worn. This was a gift. My grandson loved the color and the style.

I get every flannel in medium tall from LL bean. I love the feel and look of LL bean shirts but I've returned more than I've bought due to size inconsistenty. This one in particular was three inches shorter than every other medium tall I've had. I've yet to have two flannels measure out the same even in the same model and size. But the ones that do fit are keepers. Great shirts, really bad consistency.

Noticing a trend with LL Bean clothing. 0 stretch on anything so if your broad shouldered good luck finding the appropriate fit. Medium tall is crazy tight and Large Tall is like a dress. How does 1 size difference have such a large change in measurements.

I wear 42-44 which is large. I ordered large and received shirt labeled large. Another person could have gotten in the shirt with me. The sleeves were 6 inches below my finger tips.
The material was nice and the colors/pattern very nice, but the size was way off the chart.

Everything on this flannel is well thought out except the hood. The hood is so out of proportion, its huge and ugly and it ruins the whole flannel. Its so bad i hate putting the hood up. I regret purchasing this item (especially since i ordered 2) and all because of the horribly designed hoods, its that bad!!!
