These Scotch Plaid Hooded Shirts are the best!!!!! Just received my second one and I'm really really pleased. One of the best purchases from L L Bean I've ever made and I've been purchasing clothing from them for years. The shirt has two breast pockets ( with snaps ), two very very large lower pockets, and then I found two more very very large lower inside pockets. I would recommend this hooded shirt to everyone.

my son loved this and wore it for one of his senior pictures. It is so comfy, it's like the clothing equivalent of comfort food!

I actually purchased one for each of my sons (L and XL). They felt that despite the shirt being slightly fitted, there was still more material than they liked in the body. So, I tried the large on and loved the softness, the pockets (inside and out) and the hood. I am keeping the large for myself. I have laundered it. No loss of shape or shrinkage. The xl will be returned. Thanks for another great product.

I get lots of good comments on this hooded plaid shirt... I like things to fit big on me so consider that when looking at my "fit" info... got a large , I'm 5'7' 160 lbs... and it is large on me but that's exactly what I wanted. It's warm, cozy, and exactly what I was thinking it would be.

I bought this for my son and am back to get one for myself. It is great as an outer layer in the fall, or under a coat during the winter.

i love this jacket. i have several flannel shirt jackets and i like this the best. it's well made, of course, and the flannel is substantial without being too thick, and of course it's super soft and wicking. i like that it's unlined so i can wear it on cool alpine summer evenings. the snap buttons are great too, providing secure closure and easy to close and open. the pockets are roomy and secure and fall at the right height. the plaid was a nice shade of bluenot too bright and not too masculine and would look good on men or women. i usually buy a men's medium and it's true to size. it's my new favorite jacket of any type. highly recommend!

I loved the first one I bought so much, I got a second one! So cozy and perfect for this unpredictable spring weather when you don't need a coat, but a t shirt won't do. I bought it a few sizes big to wear it over t shirts and wear it baggy. I'm never buying a different type of flannel again. I can't wait for the weather to cool off so I can wear them again in the fall.

This is the prefect light coat for Fall & Spring in the Southwest high desert climate. There are side and inside pockets and it is better than my 30 year old jean jacket in November or April.

Had purchased one for our son for Christmas and he loved it so we bought 1 each for me and my wife. On cold days/nights it just feels so good and keep you warm and comfortable. Flannel is also a great material to wear - can't stand polyester that is supposed to keep you warm. Might even wear it on cold summer days. The hood is a great added extra

I was concerned about how this shirt would fit, but my concerns were unnecessary. The shirt fits very well. The sleeves are a little long, but I just turned them back at the cuff. It is so soft and comfortable. It is the right weight for even the chilliest mornings. I wear it all the time. The hood is a perfect addition. When I'm out waiting for my granddaughter to catch the bus, the hood adds the extra warmth I need. I would definitely recommend this shirt.

I purposely bought a man's size so I could wear a heavy sweater or layers underneath. Wore it today for the first time and was stopped by a woman who queried, "L.L. Bean?" and when I said Yes, she replied, "Love it!" Those deep side pockets, BTW, are a real bonus when I'm shopping. Great places to stow glasses, hanky, shopping list...

Very warm, yet lightweight. Perfect for indoors or out and love the hoodie.

Love the black watch color. Stylish flannel with a hoodie upgrade. Does pile a bit after washing so I recommend line drying. The snap-button closure is a nice touch! Highly recommended!

This shirt is incredibly soft flannel, both inside and outside. It is thick but not heavy. And it is warm. Living where the temp does not get above 0 for a week at a time, this was important. It is comfortable to wear inside like a sweater, and very warm as a layer when outside. I am very, very impressed. And I should add it did not shrink or pill up after washing.

Very soft (not as soft as the Chamois shirt) but slightly lighter weight. Love the hoody as I often wear a light jacket over it and the hoody just adds a cool look. My favorite thing about this flannel as opposed to other flannel is the snap buttons. They give it a vintage look and is far easier to snap on (cuffs included) than regular buttons. I am constantly using the snap button chest pockets to store small things. Also, has external side pockets that are deep enough to safely store your phone and wallet (and to stick your hands in for warmth)... and has 2 even deeper internal pockets for gloves. This thing has all of the conveniences of a jacket with the minimal look of a flannel. I alternate between this and my Chamois shirt. Freaking love it!

The detailed plaid pattern stands out from the norm. Fabric is super soft and has good heft, but seems like it may pill in the future. Really like the details. Double fabric on all snaps and deep pockets. Just warm enough for cool nights. Overall, a winner.

I bought men's med tall and had sleeves shortened so I could get the perfect fit! The women's version was way too short and boxy. This men's tall is perfect with cuffs rolled. Love it, so many compliments. Please beans, make your women's styles in tall so we can enjoy feminine patterns but great fit! LoveL L L Bean quality, scotch plaids and chamois!

I have a fleece lined hooded flannel that I love and wanted something a little less for when not as much warmth needed. But this thing is warm. Flannel on the thicker side but very soft. One of my new favorite pieces.

I bought this shirt on a whim and so glad I did. It is great for lounging around the house, running around town or hiking in the woods because I can wear it as a shirt or a jacket. The best feature is the hidden lower hand pockets. The flannel is soft and the slightly fitted cut makes it hang nice.

I purchased this hooded flannel shirt for my husband for Christmas. He was very happy with the quality of the shirt. It is very flattering on him. He has a longer torso and wide shoulders and the material lays nicely - but it is not too baggy. My son liked the shirt so much that I went back and ordered him one as well.

I bought this shirt for my daughter for Christmas. She is very fussy about what she wears. When she opened it on Christmas Day she said "wow LL Bean. Dad you shouldn't have". When she tried it on she loved it. It fit perfectly and she wore it the rest of the day. Enough said about the quality of all of the many things I have bought from LLBean this year!!!!!!!!!

I decided to wear this under my 850 down tek 'sweater'/coat because below 30* I get cold. Within no time, I was sweating just driving to the store! This flannel was much more substantial than expected! It is thick, soft, and has a relaxed, casualness to it. It IS fitted, but the material is quite hefty/thick and sturdy and will hold up to lots of wear. The snaps are fun for a change, easy on, easy off. I haven't tried this flannel on its own yet, out in the cold weather, but I have no doubt that it will hold up to the weather. A nice addition are the pockets on both sides. I will probably layer this with a light weight vest, just to be on the safe side, but the vest might prove to be too much!
