I received this shirt as a Christmas present and I probably wore it, on average, every other day this winter. It's comfortable like a well-worn sweatshirt but can be dressed up just enough to wear to the office. I love that I can wear this shirt indoors and step outside to do chores. It's a great layering garment. I tried to order the shirt in another color since I liked it so much, but alas, 'twas so popular that it could not be had. I usually wear a medium (5'9, 185 lbs), but seeing as this is an over shirt, my wife ordered a Large and it's very comfortable and not overly roomy. It's described as "slightly fitted" and I would say that a Large would be too large on me were it not for that. That said, I think the next one I order will be a Medium as a less roomy option.

Sometimes I need an XL when it's slightly fitted. But this was good in my regular size L. I bought three in different colors. Wear them all the time!

Bought five, one for each of my family members, in sizes M and L. Teens loved the hood and the thickness. It's heavy enough to act as a sweater but not too thick, so it fits under a coat easily. Hood is well placed and does not pull the front of the shirt out of alignment. Snaps instead of buttons so it's easy to roll up the sleeves. I'm wearing mine now!

Because of the cold weather here we purchased a tall rather than a regular to have some more length to cover a bit more. This fit is perfect for him to hang out in because he is a swimmer with long arms. We often find that regular sized long sleeve arms are too short for him. Getting to the pool and back he must layer so the hood works well especially when he is rushed for time in the dark and forgets his hat.

I purchased this for my son as a gift, and it fits perfectly and he loves it. He's 6' tall and about 180lb. and the Large Tall was just right. Really great quality and nice color scheme.

I bought 2 of these for my sons for Christmas and they were a big hit! They both love them. I love them, too....my son who lives at home has had to share his with me. Maybe next year I will get my own, I see they are offered in Womens' sizes also. The pockets really are key to how much we love this item. Not too heavy that you can't wear it indoors but also plenty warm outside if it is not too cold. I wear it under a down vest. Awesome hoodie shirt!

I ordered this flannel hoodie for my 16 year old nephew for Christas and he loves it. You could feel the quality - wanted to keep it for myself! The fabric is very soft and rich - exactly what you'd expect from LL Bean, and why worth paying a bit more. I was disappointed that I didn't get email notice the plaid color I ordered was unavailable until 2 weeks after I ordered it. Not sure what happened there. Thankfully, LL Bean customer service was great and took care of complementary expedited shipping of still available black watch plaid to me. It arrived in time for me to wrap and ship it back out to my nephew so he could open it on Christmas. So wish LLBean offered even basic gift wrap for a fee as it would be so wonderful not to double ship for the holidays!

I originally bought one because I am not very familiar with LLBean shirts/jackets and I wasn't feeling risky at the price. After receiving it and wearing it 5-10 times I wish they had more in stock so I could get it in one or two more colors. Overall great quality, nice fit, soft, and pretty warm. I've layered with a long sleeve shirt underneath for hikes in 30f weather and been comfortable. I also love to wear around the house as something comfy and warm. Almost everyone compliments it.

Advertised as a flannel shirt with a hood. More of a flannel jacket with a hood. Interior pockets! That said, not what I expected, but very, very nice!

Great Shirt , I live in Idaho on a Ranch and am in and out of weather , It s comfortable in the home or running outside for Firewood or a quick trip to the market. Bought a few and also wear them in my Guitar shop

This hooded flannel shirt is soft warm and very comfy. It has large pockets to hold you keys or phone.

Oh, I love my LLBean flannel hooded shirt. I've worn the thing nearly every day since I got it. I love the snaps that make it easy to fasten and unfasten, the pockets are just the right size and I especially love the side pockets for that chilly morning walk. Love it so much I'm sitting here right now wearing it. Oh, and the hood is nice on chilly evenings at home watching TV.

High quality flannel that fits perfectly! This shirt is awesome and so versatile! It could be worn as a heavy shirt with layers added over it or as a light jacket! Love it!

I was attracted to the color, and I'm very happy I purchased it. Comfortable well designed with two upper and two side pockets that easily accommodate ones hands. Large cargo pockets inside are handy and not at all bulky....the tailoring of the hood allows for comfort without obstructing visibility...

This flannel shirt is very versatile. When it's chilly, it's very comfy. If it is just a little under you comfort zone, it's warm enough but not too warm. The hood is very handy. The only problem I had was the blue color. In the original catalog, it appeared that he blue was a light blue. However, the actual color is dark blue. Don't let that deter you, though. I really enjoy the shirt no matter the color. I live on the central coast of California and the temperatures dip to the 30's over night. It, probably, isn't warm enough for that temperature, but anything from 50 and above, it's great. It was a good purchase.

It's warm. The snaps are great. Looks good. I feel good wearing it. What else could you ask for in an article of clothing?

A large sz tall fit perfect for my grandson who is 6'1"

This is a terrific garment for mornings around the house or yard. Good for luxury camping to. I'm 5'7" 190lb. Muscular/ athletic. 54" shoulders 46" chest and it fits without restricting at all. I bought the XL LONG because I wanted a New Zealand "SWANI" style fit: Long enough to cover the femoral artery area, which is all too often left unprotected in fashion garments. They wear a cotton "SWANI" garment like this in dry periods in Spring and Fall, or Summer in the mountains or South. (A wool version in Winter) Love everything about this one. The weight is right for California and can be layered under. The snaps are a better choice. The GREY STEWART color looks even better in this style.The cotton has the longer staple, quality feel to it. I like the lighter weight. LLBEAN: Come up with more colors, including solids. Also, maybe a 7 oz weight in addition to the 5oz. This is a great "After Surf/ Swim" style.

I bought this last winter and knew I had to get another in a different color this year. I love hoodies and hooded shirts and this one quickly became one of my favorites. The flannel is soft and comfortable and holds up well to repeated washing. Similar flannel shirts from other manufacturers starts to pill and shrink but The Bean keeps looking great. I didn't think I'd love the snaps but I now actually prefer them compare to regular buttons. Beam just added a traditional hoodie version of this if you don't like buttons. This is my perfect winter go-to weekend shirt.
