I've been wearing these as a base layer for winter house remodel work for over 40 years. Durable and comfortable. Alas, they don't make the crew neck available any more, thus only 4 stars. Please bring it back. I wear this under a long sleeve t-shirt and the henley collar isn't comfortable.

The size is perfect for my husband who is 6'4". His arms are very long as well as his tourseu. I thought the material was a little thin so my next purchase was a similar shirt from LL Bean that is fleece lined other wise it's very good but not for warmth.

About 35 years ago, I bought a women's style River Driver Henley from LLBean, and still wear it. I decided to get another and only found a men's version. I still bought 2 and they are very comfy and warm. Still, it's a bit big for an average-size woman, and I wish LLBean again made a woman's version. I recommend this henley if you like to wear your tops a bit large.

Been long time buyer and fan of this shirt! It keeps wind from penetrating and I've worked outside for my entire life!

This was a Christmas gift to my husband. He was very pleased with the fit, color and warmth. It would be rated 5 star except that he was disappointed that it cannot be dried in the dryer!

great shirt. i have had many thru the years and am currently wearing one soooo oolldd that the elbows are worn open. great shirt ! this purchase was a gift to a friend.

Very good quality of material. Would have liked a little lighter color of the shirt; however, upon washing perhaps it will lighten up some. Thanks.

Well made, comfortable fit. Neck is too large, compared to two crewneck versions of this river driver shirt I have had for years. However, the large size fits well. I am 6' 2", 175 lbs and 85 years old. Shoulders are not as large as they used to be, when I weighed 190#, which may explain it. Of note, your flannel large, slightly fitted shirts fit perfectly.

Just the right fit and thickness provides nice warmth on cool days or as as onset layer on cold days. My only negative comment is you have to wash it carefully and instructions say "no dryer". Kind of a pain in the a for what should be a casual shirt.

This is a high quality and well made shirt. The color is consistent all over. The big negative is that it is very long! He won't wear it and I will have to return it. I bought him an XL. It fit well everywhere else.

Feels good looks good warm under layer when not real cold

Just what I've been looking for. Bought three. Looks good and feels good. The only issue is it's longer than I expected. More like for a tall size. I'm 5'10 / 180 and got the Large which fits perfect through shoulders and waist however they fall just below the top of the inseam on the jeans. Should be maybe somewhere between there and the belt. I'll get them altered.

I have got these shirts several time they are very good but I well not get anymore as they cost to much for an under shirt,I'm told you paid your help 30 to 40 percent off when they buy from you and we are the ones to help keep you open

I've worn these for over 20 years and will last almost as long. Warm and weighty, needs several washings to soften up. Go one size up. Recommended.

I like the look of it a lot and the feel of it fairly well. It's heavy and warm, but the material is a little scratchy even after washing. It's thick as a sweatshirt but not soft as a sweatshirt.

The shirt is nice and warm, but a bit scratchy; I need to wear a t-shirt underneath it.

Not as soft as I'd hoped. Feels scratchy even after washing with fabric softener. Might be because it can not go in dryer. If comfort matters to you, this may not be the shirt for you.

Strong shirt all right, It's a decent shirt haven't ran it through the hard test yet. It's thick and heavy not the usual soft that LLBEAN has but I'm happy. FYI I only give five stars for unicorns just to keep the integrity of the 5**. Fit is good I'm 6'2". 215

Very warm and comfortable. Sizing seems accurate and no shrinkage or fading. The only negative is they attract lint. Don't wash with cotton sweats or anything similar. I'll buy more.

Fit is good and adds a nice layer of warmth in cool weather. When first worn, even after washing, it was causing my skin to itch. That's subsided to some degree but it's not gone, even after more washing.

After a long time of thinking, I've decided this Driver's Henley can be enjoyable to wear because it's loose-fitting and is partly made of wool. What I don't like is the length of time it takes to properly dry which can be more than a day. Anyway, my main complaint is the buttons. They are small and have some tendency to unfasten themselves from their buttonholes. I hope L.L. Bean will request Stanfield's to install bigger buttons to see if this will solve the problem. And I'm curious to see a hardier Driver's Henley with thicker cloth and higher wool content because with they it is now, it's meant for mild weather.

Purchased this to replace a similar two-layered shirt found in outlets at Polo R.L.; Hubby complains LLB's is not nearly as soft. The fit, initially was good, but shrank vertically after 2 months of wear, so now it's a bit more cropped than he prefers. We'll give the Tall fit a try, he does have a longish torso. Finally, the buttons have a scratchy thread/waxy finish that probably helps keeps the buttons in place forever, but irritates his chest. Overall, its a nice looking and functional shirt, but not so nice to wear.

This is a nice winter cold weather shirt, but seems to be a bit overpriced. The shirt fits true to size. I was a bit disappointed with the Black Cherry Heather, it seems darker on the website then what I got. Not bad color wise but seems to be a bit redder then I was expecting. Also give this shirt a couple of washes to soften up and become more comfortable.
