This shirt just like every other piece of clothing for this company I have bought in the last few years. It is not labled correctly! I am tired of all the guessing sizes and returning items. I am an xtra large this shirt was at least a 3x. For the last serveral years it has been hit and miss if a piece of clothing will be sized correctly. I spend hard earned money for quality clothing but what I receive is something that should be sent to a reject pile. I will no longer purchase another L.L. Bean product. Even if they decide to put quality control back in their items.

Too bulky to be a comfortable shirt. Too light to be a useful jacket. I returned the item.

Bean claims this is their heaviest weight flannel but it's really not very heavy at all. The fit was like one size larger than ordered. Disappointed. Returning.

I was quite disappointed in the dye in this shirt. The past few years it has become faded. The shirt is very well made. It is faded and it cannot be worn when going out. I have never had another llBean shirt fade they have always been superb.

Ridiculous is all I can say. This shirt was supposed to be Large, but it was a tent. I kid you not. And they charged shipping on the return.

Ordered 2X regular, must have been for a tall person. Tail of shirt was below my BUTT. Never had a 2X reg, shirt that long.

This shirt was enormous and cut very goofy. The worst fit from LL Bean I ever experienced. The fit is very inconsistent with other LLBean shirts. The worst part is the company charged me $7 shipping fees for returning this garbage.

The color shown online was nothing like the color of the shirt that arrived.

We've purchased these for years for my husband, they are warm and soft and he loves them. I bought the last one before this maybe four years ago, and it was great as usual. The one we just received is NOT the same product. The style and fit are the same as they've always been, but the fabric is of terrible quality, and pilled horribly the first time we washed it. We returned it. VERY disappointing.

my height is 6ft 3 in and my chest is 48 so size selection according to LLBEAN is correct. I had two other chamois shirts from LLBEAN and they have been great. I bought 3 new ones and they length is clownish. One is 2 and half inches longer than the current shirt I own and another is 4 and half inches longer! The new ones are made in Sri Lanka and the old one was made in El Salvador. A 70% fits as expected percentage is not good. And the flaws are inconsistent indicating a Quality Assurance problem. As a business man myself I would recommend less money to advertising and more to engineering Quality Assurance. Overall, I am frustrated and not happy. Will be returning.

Grossly overlarge. Labelled as medium, it's more like extra large. I have used Bean Chamois shirts for years. They have always been great. Not this one. Poor fit, fuzzy fabric that's different from that used in previous shirts, and an unpleasant color.

The sizing is totally off. I ordered an XXL for my husband and when he tried it on t looked like it was made for a giant. Exchanged it for an XL and it fit just like the larger one I returned. Sleeves too wide, sleeves too long, shirt to long, shoulders too big, neck too big. Someone needs new glasses. Returned the second shirt for a refund.

My man is 6'3, 210lbs. He's not a small guy and the size Large is soooo gigantic on him! Wide and Long. He has the same shirt in Large that is old and it's like half the size. The Large is more like a 3X! When I called Llbean the rep tried to convince me that it's meant to be a loose shirt, this is NOT loose, this sizing is off. There are so many reviews saying the same. Nice fabric, but it's unfortunate the sizing is off.

XL fits like a XXL. This garment is grossly oversized. I could wear it over my bulky winter jacket.

I have two Bean Chamois shirts, one Navy, one Burgundy. Navy was purchased 6 or more years ago, Burgundy maybe 2 years ago. (The dates are not exact but there was a long time between purchases, and B is a good deal newer.) The other day I was standing in the checkout line at the market when I heard someone behind me say, in a rather sour tone, "L L Bean." I turned around to see a youngish woman, quite plainly dressed, looking at my Burgundy Chamois shirt. No more words passed between us but I took a closer look at the shirt. What I saw is shown in the photos. Both shirts had just been washed and folded. The pilling (and fading) on the B shirt is just unacceptable.

I purchased this for my son and I am just now finding out that he was never able to wear this shirt. It is much too big and the length is practically to his knees. I have no idea who or what size person this shirt would fit. It is laughable.

This thing was a monster, a heavyweight garment crafted for a giant and I only ordered the Medium. I cannot imagine what manner of beast would wear the Large. I returned it.

I returned this shirt. Although it was marked as size XL, it was either XXL long or XXXL. I purchased a different shirt in XL at the same time. It fit perfectly. My guess is that this shirt was improperly labeled at the manufacturer.

This is the second one we have owned. Both developed a hole in the elbow. This one was only worn around the house for a few months. My husband wore it as an over shirt only in the mornings. Very disappointed. He is not hard on his clothes.

Have been wearing the traditional fit Chamois Cloth Bean shirt my entire life, but am now looking elsewhere for replacements. Have two regular XLs left that were made in the USA. An original dark, dark Navy and a bright red that Bean doesn't offer anymore, which I don't understand. I still wear both and they still do the job of keeping me halfway warm, even though they are a bit thinner after 30 years or so. Have a third regular XL made in El Salvador that is okay but not quite up to the old Bean standards. It's a recent purchase of about four or five years ago. Just bought a new Navy in regular large because an XL I tried fit like a 2XL and draped nearly to my knees. I thought the large might work but turns out it's almost four inches longer than the shirts I have now. This latest shirt also was made in El Salvador, which is fine with me. But it seems that Bean has completely changed the sizing on these shirts, making it nearly impossible for lifetime chamois customers like me to find one that even fits.

I got this shirt as a gift and had to return it. The sizing is bizarre. The traditional fit is really wide and boxy, but the real issue is the length. It's almost like a night shirt. I'm 6'2 and the Large was between my butt and my knees. I have no idea who could wear this.
