Absolutely enormous. I'm 6'1" 200lbs and a size large was wayyyyyyy too big. But the sleeves were the correct the length, so a size smaller still wouldn't have worked either. Frustrating. The build seemed to be very good quality. too bad LL Bean can't seem to be consistent in their sizing.

Fit, fabric and fabric weight were exactly what I was looking for.

For me, the pocket flaps make the pockets mostly unusable! Therefore the shirt is also. For many decades I've carried pencils and notes in my left shirt pocket, thus the flap on that side has to be propped up - not convenient for use, and not a good fashion statement either! Otherwise, shirt is comfortable and warm.

Not as soft as I'd expect, and it is ENORMOUS. Like wearing a furry tent. Has to be at least two, maybe three sizes bigger than you would expect off the rack. Borderline comedy

This is a well made, sturdy shirt that is well suited to outdoor labor. However, it is cut for a large person and gives the overall impression of someone working in a mine or factory.

I've been buying this shirt for years. Until now, it is one of the best heavy weight shirts but it is now cut far too long. I'm returning the one I received in the mail today and hope that L.L. Bean addresses this flaw.

A few years ago I purchased a large men's Chamois Shirt Traditional Fit for my husband. It fit him perfectly then and still does. For Christmas this year I purchased 2 more thinking they would be a sure thing. Unfortunately, they were very large...an extra large size. Had to send them back which is always a hassle. Wouldn't know if a Medium would fit him and don't want to pay to take the chance.

This is the 3rd Chamois XL shirt that I own. While the others fit fine for some reason this shirt was way too large. Not sure why this happened since they're the same size and same type of shirt.

I like my Bean's flannel shirts roomy, and even a little large is good because I layer them. Bean's Large Tall has always been perfect for a fit 6' and 185#, but this size was ridiculously large for me. It looked like a little kid was wearing his dad's shirt. Exchanged it; but now the wait is 3 months for a back order. Very disappointing as a Christmas gift from my wife.

Just wanted to say I have purchased my last LL Bean chamois shirt.
They just do not button down far enough in front for me. I am of normal size and the last button down the front stops at my navel. So due to that, after a few minutes of wearing it I have a gaping hole between each side where it tucks in at the belt line. I have tried XL Long and their too long. So for me, I have sought out another manufacturer.

I always order Tall from L.L.Bean and they always fit perfect, but not this time, my husband was swimming in this shirt and it looked a bit boxy. I love the color, arms fit in length, but the bottom hangs so low it just doesn't look right, 3-4" too long. Unfortunately going to have to return it.

I have purchased these shirts for my husband for many years now. It is his favorite winter shirt! But this year the material isn't the same. The material is stiff and after several washings it's a bit better but doesn't drape nicely. Please return to last years' fabric! Thank you!

Ordered a small. Fix like an xl by any other clothing company. Would be fine if I could size down but they don't make a smaller shirt

I was excited to get the order and try it on. The colors were fantastic, and fit perfect. I washed and dried it according to the instructions, but was disappointed afterwards. There was significant shrinkage, particularly in the arms. I had ordered 3 of these, and unfortunately washed them all together. None fit well after washing and I will be returning them.

This shirt is good quality but just has a weird cut...it's too long. It fits in every other way, but the tails of the shirt just hang down too low.

I normally wear an XXL, but it was too big. I sent it back and requested that an XL. I have yet to get it or hear anything.

LL Bean is our go to store to order Medium Tall Chamois Shirts for my husband. We know they will fit well. This was not the case this year. The shirts are huge on him and now need to be returned. Arms were too long, trunk was very wide, and tails too long to tuck in. I think the sizing has changed and he was very disappointed that both shirts ordered had to be returned. Do not want to try a new size due to hassle with returns and shipping costs.

Over the years I have purchased a number of these shirts in different colors and they all fit and the material was much better. This time the sleeves and length were shorter. Also the material is of a less weight. I will not purchase another one of the shirts again. which is too bad since they did have a really great product.

Nice shirt but I have only worn it once after buying it a year ago because it WILL shrink even when washing it in cold water and drying in low heat. It shrinks in the shoulders and sleeves. Also the material changes from extremely soft to just okay. It is too snug and course to wear again but I paid too much for to be taken to Goodwill. It looks good in the closet. I should have ordered a large because of the shoulders.

Shirt didn't fit too bad other than the tails are extra long for tucking.
Not suitable for wearing un-tucked. Should be listed in the description.

I bought this for a friend who usually wears Size M in LLBean shirts. Although this shirt appeared to be well constructed and the usual LLBean high quality, it was way too large. We had to return it.

I purchased 4 of these this winter. The fabric is wonderful, soft and warm. It's very thick. The button work is shoddily done. I've had buttons fall off after being worn 3 times. One shirt arrived with a button almost hanging off. Similar products can be had elsewhere with buttonwork that doesn't have a durability measured in hours. On the plus side I guess I learned how to sew. I

I wear XL, my Pendletons, Dickies work shirts, T shirts,, all XL. This must have been mis labeled, HUGE, huge in the body, across the shoulders, sleeve length, super long like old time pajamas. Quality and fabric seems real nice though, shame it's too big
