Fits great, looks great, warm and thick. Haven't laundered it yet so I can't give it a 5. So good I bought another. The ideal winter all around shirt.

It's a nice shirt, but the material is thinner than the chamois I used to get...
The fit is perfect and it is of a decent quality.

A great shirt for the cold winters here in the north. Great alone or with a turtleneck underneath, it does wonders to keep husband warm on our coolest days. Washes beautifully and is soft and comfortable. Highly recommend .

Great product but.
DO not order your usual size these are way too big!
Being in the apparel industry for 30+ years i can tell you someone goofed.
Buy a smaller size although that wont help the length which is too long

I made the mistake of ordering the classic chamois shirt in the chamois color without reading prior reviews. I had several in my closet of other colors during the "Made in Mexico" era and presumed a large then is a large now. Wrong! The large fit me like an xxl so I exchanged for a medium which fit great in the body and a touch long in the sleeves, but acceptable. The shirt thickness and material quality is outstanding, but LL Bean must return to its traditional sizing convention or face the risk that customers (longstanding ones like me) will flee due to the inconvenience of managing returns. I've been buying from LL Bean since my high school days in the early 1980s and this sizing unpredictability has really shaken my confidence in ordering other items.

This is a beautiful shirt that is a thick, heavy flannel but despite the comments by L L Bean, it's way too big in sizing even when it was purchased specifically to wear over another shirt.
Disappointed, but we will be returning for the same in a smaller size and then wash it for sizing first. I sure hope I do not have to pay to ship it back when the reviews had such mixed messages!!! A large was more like an XXL!

Wanted the solid Navy, received the plaid Navy & Dark green.
Without trying it on (MY Husband said it's TOO large.
Measured against other LLBean chamois. It was 2 inches wider.

I would have to say that this is more of a jacket than shirt. I ordered in navy & red in a small size. this shirt feels very large in the sleeves & shirt tail length. They appear well constructed & made with fine material. They are lint magnets. you will need to use a lint brush.

This is a great shirt, but, it's a magnet for lint, dog/cat hair, dust, and anything else that might be around. Even running through the dryer on freshen up cycle, doesn't remove everything. I have to use one those clothing removal rollers and even then it does't get everything. On the positive side - it fits well, warm, and doesn't fade.

material and quality are great, I normally wear a large in most shirts but had to exchange the large for a medium and its still a little long. I wear this as a light weight outer layer/jacket

Great shirt but the pockets are too small to hold a cell phone! Please fix this problem.

I love the chamois shirts. I have been buying them for years. Very reliable quality and sizing, although the one I just received seems to have longer sleeves than usual. But otherwise a great LL Bean item.

Great shirt but it runs large. I always were a medium but I had to exchange for a small.
That being said, this is a very warm, comfortable shirt.

Love everything about this shirt except for one thing, the sizing. I wear a medium in every shirt i have ever bought. This medium is a wee large. A lot looser than I would like and the sleeves are at least an inch too long. Close enough that I will keep it, but I wish it would have been truer to size.

Although it is lovely, we need to find a way to return this item. The gentleman for whom it was purchased is 6'1" and not skinny. But he is also not XL tall, apparently. I don't seem to have the tag; hoping that this purchase history will be sufficient for exchange.

I like these shirts on my husband. He's chubby and they have ample room. I buy the tall even though he is not. One thing I wish they could fix are the pockets. They want to curl when they come out of the dryer. Other than that, the shirts launder nicely.

Great shirt but the sizing is a little confusing or misleading. I got a large," 5'10 190lbs" and it is too big. Not sure if the med was just right but love to shirt. Hopeing to shrink it a little.

This shirt is one of my husband's favorites. He says it keeps him warm and the wind can't cut through it. It also is rain repellent. What I don't like about it are the collar and the cuffs. They tend to fray after about one year of wear and I end up having to throw the shirt out before it's really worn.

Found this shirt near perfect except for sizing and color. Bought the chamois color in large and found, as others have, it runs almost a size larger than indicated and the color is more yellow/tan than the lighter buckskin shown in the main pic. A little disappointed there. Washing did bring the sleeves down a bit which helped.
The overall quality of construction, materials and comfort is tops so I now have a nice, light weight 'Shirt Jac'. Next time I'll go for the Classic Chamois Shirt.

I have 10 of these shirts I have bought over the past 8 years. All of great quality and size. But this one, the sizing is off. Its a bit large for a size large. The sleeves are somewhat longer and it just looks big on me. Now all of my other chamois are larges, but this one seems a bit too large. i washed it in hot water and it shrunk a bit, so it will work for now especially with layering. I tried a Med on, it was pretty tight, so that wont work.
Still a very good shirt, but needs some sizing specs that are better. Or hey make it back in the USA again.....

My medium fits more like a large. Also a little long. Nice material, though, and good quality.

Good shirt. But if you want medium, order a small. Sizing is way off.

Great shirt, everything we wanted.
However, the sizing seemed off.
We actually bought two and both were super huge.
If we ever get the chance to visit a store, we will buy these shirts
