They are thick, warm, and soft. He (husband) does not like sweaters, so these are perfect over a shirt for a warm layer. He got the gray and navy. Great product!

I've been a big fan of Bean's chamois cloth shirts for decades. This latest one is excellent.

I had purchased this shirt a few years back, and I am so happy with it. I realized that it is getting old and I wear it nearly every day. So I purchased two more in new colors. I love L.L.Bean products.

I had previously purchased six different colors of the Chamois Shirt (some colors are now no longer available) a couple of years ago and I was never able to actually wear them, as the size XL Chamois Shirts were just too big. Eventually, I had to give them to one of my sons.
Recently (to take advantage of the L.L.Bean Flannel Shirt Sale), I purchased four different colors of the Chamois shirt three in a size Large and one (accidentally) in a size XL (my 'normal'/'regular' size in other quality brand shirts) and they arrived much quicker than expected. Sadly, although I wear an XL in other high-end shirts from different manufacturers, the size XL Chamois shirts still run exactly like the L L.Bean Scotch Plaid Flannel shirts which I had also previously purchased; i.e., just way too large.
Upon receipt and after trying them on, I had to return the size XL shirt for a size Large, as the XL was just much too baggy. It should be noted that just to be safe, I had also purchased three Chamois shirts in a size Large and although the Large size is also roomy (a bit baggy), the sleeve length is fine. My sleeve length is usually 34/35. It should also be noted that even when wearing a long sleeve thermal undershirt beneath the size XL, the XL Chamois Shirts, as well as the Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirts in an XL, still fit much too large for my liking in my 'regular'/'normal' XL size.
I know that I'll be receiving the size Large Chamois Shirt replacement quickly, as L.L.Bean has excellent customer service. I will keep the size Large in hopes that they will shrink a bit. From now on, I will be purchasing the Chamois Shirts and the Scotch Plaid Flannel Shirts in a size Large, as I'm sure that a size Medium will become just too small after washing...cheers.

I got this on sale for hubby Christmas gift 2019. Love nearly everything I've ever purchased from LL Bean, and I've been buying things from them for more years than I care to admit.

My husband has been wearing these chamois shirts for years. He was heavier several years ago, but he likes the extra room. He wears them fishing and keeps one near his comfortable chair at all times. He slips one of them on over his clothes to keep the chill off that he gets sitting in an air-conditioned room. These shirts last almost forever. He is still wearing one that he bought twenty years ago.

54 years and this is my only place to go for chamois shirts that always fit and wear a very long time. I was an X-Large Tall before I lost some weight, now a Large Regular fits well and I feel great about that. It's exciting to replace my baggy clothes with fresh crisp colors.

Still feels warm and comfy and L.L.Bean made to last. I've been getting chamois cloth shirts for as long as 60 years starting with the first camel color ones. I wear them mostly as a jacket when the air gets chilly. I've never been disappointed. Like this gray color, but I also just bought a second one in lovely plaid.

This was to replace several which I had many years and finally wore out. They were dark green and light green, and I was very disappointed to find Bean no longer sold those colors. One of the old ones I had was navy blue and has not worn out yet, so I ordered dark wine and this gray one, as well as two plaid ones. I like all the other colors better than this gray thing which looks blah due to its color.

I'm a Mainer living in CA, so I can't wear this shirt as much as I'd like. But it's great for winter and cooler nights.
I'm a big guy, and this shirt fits perfect through the chest, shoulders and sleeves. I considered ordering a Tall size, but the regular length is plenty long, bordering on a little too long. After a couple of washes though it seems to have shortened up a little bit.
Great shirt and well constructed. I look forward to wearing it for many years.

My husband and son have worn these Chamois shirts for years. They last a long time. In Phoenix, AZ that is all that they need for 98% of winter.

The fabric is soft, the colors are rich. The shirt washes & dries well. Due to our hard water, I use fabric softener. My husband wears these shirts at home. This generous shirt keeps hubby warm in winter, cool in the summer air conditioning. It's a wardrobe mainstay for him.

This shirt is made with great care and quality and the fabric is comfortable and soft. I bought one for my husband, father in law and one for each of my son in laws for Christmas and will probably buy them another next year as they are a good wardrobe investment.

Having retired in winter following 40 years of office-based employment, my button-down dress shirts are getting dusty, and I am wear clothes that make me most comfortable. I've long enjoyed wearing Bean chamois shirts, but the recent shirts are better than ever. They are a heavier weight than regular flannel shirts, and they keep you warm and cozy when the air outside is chilled and you want to layer up inside to keep heating bills down. Within the last year, I purchased three new chamois shirts, and I wear one of them more than half the days each week. The most recent purchase is a deep gray heather, but I also love the solid navy and apple cinnamon plaid shirts. All are durable, soft, warm, perfectly fit, and great values. When new chamois shirts become available in late summer, I'll likely look to replace well-worn, earlier generation Bean maroon and beige chamois shirts with fresh new ones. Thanks, LLBean, for these and other wonderful clothes. (No, I am not a shill; I'm just a very happy customer.)

My husband is from Maine but we haven't lived there for may years. These chamois shirts are like a little bit of home for him. The quality is always top notch and this new navy blue is a nice color.

The chamois shirt purchased, as with all the shirts purchased from LL Bean, have been as advertised. My husband always chooses to wear one of them before wearing another type. The customer service representative was also very helpful. Thank you LL Bean for a great product.

My husband had one of these shirts for many years and he finally wore it out. He liked it so much he wanted another just like it. I ordered it for his birthday and he was thrilled. It is soft and comfortable, while also being very durable. The red he had before was not available, but he liked the orange-red that is currently available.
