I had a pair of these boots years ago. Great boots until my new pup decided they were a toy and chewed the toe off of one. When I went to order a new pair they had been discontinued. I was so happy to see that LL Bean offered them again and immediately ordered a new pair. Fit is perfect and with same high quality workmanship that Bean boots have been known for for over a hundred years. My go to boot for winter activities, whether it is rabbit hunting, taking dogs for a walk, or just going to mail box to get mail. Thank you LL Bean for bringing back this great boot.

I purchased these for my husband as I have them in women's and LOVE them. However, they were a size too large and when I went to the store to exchange them, I was informed that due to a chemical used in the waterproofing, due to New York State regulations, they could not be exchanged as of year-end. I had to return them for a credit. The associate at Bean expects that the product will be modified to meet NYS regulations, so hoping that I can get them next fall.

Love these! Feet stay dry and warm. Very satisfied, it took 2 tries to get the right size tho. I wear 10.5 in running shoes, I ended up getting a size 9, they fit perfectly. Best thing about them is I can slide my feet into them while standing up and don't have to fight to put them on or take off. Great for Wisconsin winter weather! Made in USA too!

I purchased size 10 and my usual size is 10 1/2 EE. This boot ( 8" zip front ) size 10 is a pretty close fit. Width if spot on, but the length is maybe a tad long...... perfect for a heavier sock. FYI...I would recommend buying this boot in a smaller size if you are a true size 10/med width. On the whole, good looking, comfortable, convenient /easy off and on boot with a red buffalo check lining. Great yard boot.
I'd also recommend:

Great pair of boots for colder weather wear, just what I had been looking for! Besides the famous . L. L. Bean waterproof lower boot, it had insulation and a zip up closure, which I needed due to a bad back.

I followed the LL Bean sizing instructions fleece lined bean boots. I agree that the fit feels true to size compared typical shoes (i.e., if you wear 11 in most dress shoes, order size 11). I do wish they came in half sizes, though, as putting a typical size 10.5 into the recommended 11 is slightly roomy fit, although it allows you to use thicker socks. These also come with removable insole, so you can swap them for your own insoles if that is something you need.

These boots are excellent quality. Unfortunately my husband won't wear them and they are still sitting in the box. I have the tie up Women's boots made by L L Bean. They are perfect for the winter's here in Wyoming.

I went to LL Bean to pick up some slip on boots for winter. My criteria for the boots were: - I live in the Chicago burbs, so cold and snowy/rainy for many months - Boot that I could easily slip on like my Merrill Moc slip ons. (Something that doesn't require lacing up, and ideally even bending over to put them on. Want to be able to do things like quick put on so I can take the trash out, when I'm not even going to throw on a coat.) - Keep my foot warm and dry for 30-60 minutes in the Chicago winter (walking through some snow and down to around 0 degrees for that timeframe, basically my walk to school with my kids and such) - Be able to drive a car (Not looking for big boots that make simple things like that hard) I tried a couple different slip on boots at the store, but they were all not fitting exactly how I'd like. As with most slip on boots, the part of getting my heel in was usually the challenging part, and not have the main footbox be too big. Sizing: I saw these on the wall and asked to try them on. I'm normally a 10.5 Wide foot, and I started with the size 11 since they only come in Medium. (Was wearing normal socks at the time.) The boot was too big, so I went down to the 10s. They fit my feet perfectly. - I rated Length as "true to size" if you go by their sizing description notes, which I think are accurate about socks and such. - I claimed they were "slightly wide" since they say they are Medium, but I've never had a 10 boot or shoe fit my wide feel like this, so I think they are underselling the width. Utility: For my want of easy slip on, they can't be beat. The zipper at the front makes all the difference. That allows the upper to open very wide to easily slip your foot in, and better than a side zipper since it affords the upper to open more in the width dimension, so your foot/toes go in easier. And the normally problem part of putting boots on for me with my heel was not an issue. After that, they fit well enough that if I was just say taking the trash out, I didn't feel I had to zip up the boot, they would stay on fine as I walked outside. If I do zip them, that is very easy to do, and I like the gusset behind the zipper, makes me an extra level of protection against snow/water getting in. Also, the boot is pretty flexible in the sole, so things like driving a car are pretty easy, feels more like a shoe than a boot IMO, so great there for my use case. Comfort: Overall, these are pretty comfortable boots. I've had them for two months and walked though a bit of snow and rain, and have not had any issues with moisture. As for warmth, I was afraid they may not keep my feet warm since it's really a rain boot base. I used them in multiple negative temp days (-20 on some), and my feet stayed warm enough. They definitely were not the coldest part of me (usually my face or legs were when outside), so they worked well for the temps I was shooting for. My only two complaints about the comfort are: - The sole is pretty thin, which has the benefit of being flexible for things like driving, but it doesn't give much arch support. So if you're sensitive to that, then you'd probably at least want to look at inserts, or just look at another boot with better support. - The tread isn't the best for icy conditions. Snow/rain is fine, but it's a mild tread, so if you really are concerned with lots of ice traction, then may want to look at another boot. (I haven't slipped myself, just don't think it's the master at ice.) Value: It's a $180 boot. Considering you can get a lot of other boots (even from LL Bean) for cheaper than that, I can't say it's "cheap". But for value, it hit all the things I wanted, and I couldn't find a similar boot cheaper for it. So if you have similar requirements, you'd probably do well like me and just get them. I know I'm glad I did.

Easiest winter boots I've ever had. I love just slipping into them to bring the dog out, grab firewood, or run to the car. When I say they run true to size, I mean there's enough room for thick winter socks. They are looser when you're barefoot, of course, but not so loose that you feel they'll fall off. I only fully zip them if I've a longer action planned like dog mushing in Lapland. Yup, toast warm even there.

These were what was needed! I have had LL Bean boots since the early '90s. Needed to replace an old pair and these fit the bill. Easy slide on, correct fit, same quality of construction as before as far as I can tell now. Warm and dry. Two most important aspects. What else is necessary?! So enjoy them!
