This boot is constructed extremely well, fits well and has broken in easily. Highly recommend the product. I've been buying my size 9 1/2 shoes from LL Bean on site for many years and have had some pain and thought it was just age. Turns out, thanks to another shoe retailer, that I have two different size feet. LL Bean never measured me to see what size I should be buying. Another retailer did and the 11 1/2 new size fits so much better. Please add this feature to the sales process and you could help so many like myself. Who knew, feet get larger as age impacts the arches!

After 22 years, my LL Bean Boots finally saw their last season...so.. I made the plunge and purchased my new pair. I called and talked to the most helpful woman and she helped me pick up which boot and described the sizes to me perfectly...... I then... hit send and purchased the Storm Chaser. They are perfect. There is a reason that the cost the price they do as they last forever. I was able to use them the weekend after I received them and could not be happier. Comfort and quality always exceeds my expectations. Even though I don't live in New England any longer.... I can have my touch of home under my feet!

The last winter boots I bought my husband were big, heavy, pull-on, Storm Chaser boots I think :) They finally tore apart, after many years, not too much wear and tear, but they never fit properly, and we tried two sizes. These boots are perfect. We did try two sizes, the 8 won over the 8.5, medium weight socks, but sometimes it goes the other way. The fit is comfortable, and they have proven to be warm enough for my husband though we didn't have much time for testing since we got them at the end of the season. Don't know about waterproof, but they are leather, so I'm curious. And they are very handsome. I put them on coz I would like a pair for myself but I need them to be super warm. I will try them for myself next year. I like them because the "Rubber outsole is aggressively lugged and grooved for superior traction on wet surfaces". I hate the heal on the Bean Boots.

I bought these to replace a pair of Merrells that looked similar but fell apart. These boots are much more comfortable and the leather uppers are quite flexible. They are warm and waterproof and seem like they will last a long time. My only complaint is they are snug with thick socks but otherwise fit well.

Doesn't rain much here but when it does it floods asap...wanted something warm and dry and this does it...find myself wearing them just because they are extremely comfortable...sometimes instead of sneakers...well made, great value...I'll wear them hiking now instead of sneakers....

Just what I needed. Tough and well-built, comfortable, and not heavy and clunky. Will serve me well in the woods and fields.

I absolutely love these boots. This winter, I started taking a lot of weekend hikes and these boots are perfect. They give good snow and mud traction, and are middling on ice. They do not slow me down on these 5+ mile treks. I cannot say they are light, but they are not bulky. I can certainly say they are comfortable. I forget that they are on. Most importantly, they are warm. This is the reason I bought them. I have always had problems with my feet and toes getting cold, no matter the sock or boot or warmer. These boots keep my feet warm, even the temperature dropped to 0 degrees Fahrenheit. Yet, whether it is the boot or the smartwool sock, my feet do not sweat.

They look great. Super comfortable and as expected top quality construction. I have purchased several LL bean boots in the past years. From Duck boots (LL Bean) to the winter boots. These by far out of the box look, feel and fit the best. They are a bit wider than I anticipated but then again when I put my wool socks on they fit perfect. Just a bit roomy with standard socks. I must say I have been pleased with them for the past month I have had them. I have been wearing them almost every day. I recommend them to anyone that is interested.

Very comfortable, warm, and dry. Best all around pair of boots I have owned.

I've not worn LLBean boots since I was a child, 50 years ago. I bought these a month ago to be more comfortable for long periods of time in very cold weather. These boots are sturdy, well-made, comfortable, dry, and reliable. With thermal socks, they kept me as warm as could be hoped while snow-shooing in 2 feet of snow, 18 degrees. I highly recommend them.

These boots were comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them all day in 6 inch deep snow and my feet stayed warm and dry - definitely worth the money

These are top notch boots. They fit well, insulate well, and are well padded. They are good cold weather boots in addition to other activities. I highly recommend them for almost any activity. When you need good dependable these, these are the ones.

Just got them and it snowed out. Warm, waterproof, and no break-in necessary. I like the tread too. Would definitely recommend. Only thing, the laces are too long, need to wrap around boot.

Bought these for use when I have to walk through wet grass. Found out they are great for all conditions. Recommend for ranchers or hunters.
