The polymer used to mold the sole has poor thermal properties and offers little traction on snow and ice, resulting in many slips and falls.

The rigid sole is dangerous! It makes these boots unresponsive. Tread looks as if it would grab, but instead any hint of ice makes them unreliable. It's like walking with a hard plastic casing on the bottom. So disappointed! Will donate with a warning note.

I've had these for 3 years, and put moderate use on them. The rubber between the sole and boot started to decay after year 1. Now it's bad enough that water is getting through. Last week the ankle stitching of the liner tore out completely, so these boots are done.

The inside fabric at the top where I stick in my feet ripped at a seam. It happened on one boot the first winter I had them, then on the other boot in the second winter. Now putting them on it's hard not to rip them more.

Still trying to find the right bean boots but so far no luck. This boot was not waterproof. It leaks where the rubber duck part meets the leather. If you do not come in contact with water, just get caught in rain or snow these will be fine. If you need waterproof, these leak.

Purchased these from the Mansfield MA store early November for my dad. The first time he wore them water got in right at the toes! The inside was wet in the toe box. Returned without an issue for a different winter shoe as the other boots were a no-go. Hoping to have better luck with the exchange. Don't recommend these as they were not waterproof in our case!

Same thing happened to me as a previous reviewer. I bought the boots in the Albany store Sunday the 8th. I wore them in the store and they were very comfortable so I bought them. My wife wrapped them for me for Christmas. On Christmas when I pulled them on using the "pull tab" I heard them rip. The inner lining ripped along the seam. I will be returning them to get my money back. I certainly will not be exchanging these boots for another pair since they are either poorly designed or poorly manufactured.
