I've never had such expensive shoes cause so much discomfort! They give blisters to my small toes and cause pain to my large toes. I can get that from cheap shoes, so why buy these? I have bought plenty of other shoes that feel better. Worst of all, I bought them last year in anticipation of using them for this winter, so now it's too late to return them.

This was my second pair of these... I bought my first pair in 2021 and wore them constantly.(I also have a pair of storm chaser boots that are several years old) Great Shoe !!! I usually take a 13 wide but the first pair (in 2021 ) were fine in a 13 regular width. When I ordered them again recently the 13 regulars were too narrow and I noticed the leather was different.. felt thinner and it was that alligator skin leather rather than smooth . I sent them back for a 13 wide... and while the 13 wide fit the construction was very poor... the stitching on the front was not even and was lopsided... where the front pull strap is attached.... looked like something you'd get at the dollar store rather than LL Bean. I contacted customer service to complain and they were very supportive and accommodating. . they paid for the return shipping. However given the obvious change is the shoe's production I'm not sure I'd take a chance and buy them again... Sad because I've been buying Bean boots and clothing items since the 1980s... These are not Maine made Bean boots so I'm not sure who they have sourced them out to recently... but the quality/quality control is just not there with these shoes.

we replaced an older pair. This pair is too small, so the original was not despite being in the same size.

Not comfortable and opening too wide. Very stiff and hurt my feet when i walk

I wear a 9.5 shoe but I ordered a 10 to have room with a heavy sock. They didn't fit even with thin socks. The right shoe felt defective in the way it was made.

My husband is a 12 wide and he is able to wear pretty much consistently that size in most brands. These boots were just way too narrow all around. Too bad! We waited months on back order for them.

Although my shoes are 3-5 years old, I couldn't figure out why my feet kept getting wet. As I've shown in the picture the bottom sole separated from the top, resulting in water coming in. They don't appear to have been sewn, but glued together. Never expected this from a LL Bean product. I was initially happy but now I have to put my feet in plastic bags to wear the shoes.

I consider a 'slip on footwear' as something you don't have to bend over to 'slip on'. You Evidently have to have narrow feet to slip these on. A half size bigger doesn't help either. If you're going to wear socks make sure they are thin and expect the sole to wear out if you put these boots on often. I would return them but I already did once for a size bigger but didn't help. They were a gift so I hate to have the person who bought them for me get charged again for a return. Only pro is the material seems to be top notch. I'm in my 60's so I figure these should last me a lifetime do to the fact I doubt I'll be wearing them often. Maybe they should come with a long shoe-horn.

I gave this a single star because there was nothing lower. I have worn these boots for over twenty years and was trying to buy a new pair. The ones I received were badly out of form - clearly a new manufacturer or process. They were very uncomfortable and visibly twisted out of shape. I wrote the company and never received and response. I received a refund but no explanations.

Purchased these shoes after many years of heavy use. Fit was perfect, looked great and worked well with casual wear to heavy work (within reason). Purchased new and started to look at another new purchase because I thought maybe I had mistakenly ordered women's size shoe. Extremely tight and uncomfortable. Just before committing to new replacement took time to check size only to verify I was buying the same shoe.

Terrible sizing. Been 111/2 Whole life. Way off. Ordered 4 different sizes none fit. Too big. Loose in heel.

On my 3rd season with these. Previous 2 years, fine. This year, every time I walk on the damp lawn to play ball with the dog, as i always have, my socks are soaked. There are either pin holes in the rubber bottom or the seam between the rubber bottom and the shoe is no longer sealed. Very disappointed and looking for something else.

All the stitching came un sew on , water got in the boot. I'm going to order another pair.

After buying over 15 pairs of shoes in 20 years, something has changed. The width is way too tight, as everybody else has stated in these complaints. Hopefully the manufacture will be changed and I can buy from this company in the future until then adios. This is what happens when you change for cheaper Producer.

I love everything about these shoes except they smell so bad I had to throw them away.

This is the shoe I've been looking for but it doesn't come in my size. So I can't say this is a good shoe or not. No 12.5 size whats up with that?

Shoes run small. Could not get my foot in them. The return procedure takes much longer than buying them. It'll be a month before I get my money back. You're better off buying them at a store.

I'd go 0 stars if I could. I wear a 10 in all shoes/boots so I ordered a 10. My feet pop out of them while walking. Now I have to pay $6.50 or drive an hour to return these because they're oversized. Be wary when purchasing these.

I was referred to your products and subsequently became a fan. I ordered another pair and had to return them because they did not fit. I was told my size 11 1/2 Wide was discontinued. Since you will not service my needs, I must cease to be a customer.

Poorly made and too high off the ground. Like walking in platform shoes. Messed my center of gravity up. By poorly made I mean the insole of my left shoe had a bump in it and the rubber mouths of both shoes were oblong and misaligned. I returned these.
