The quality of these scuff slipper is nowhere as good as the ones L.L.Bean used to sell

They fit like you'd expect a slipper to fit but but the foot bed is so hard. It's almost like walking barefoot on a tile floor. The only good thing is they were on sale and so I can wear them outdoors and if they get messed up I will just throw them out. I will be replacing with a better product with that has better padding under the foot. They are quite a disappointment.

I bought 2 pair, an 8 and a 9. Could not get my foot in either pair. It is not the length it is the width.

LL Bean slippers have been great in the past. These, however, are way too tight at the ankles to fit. I'm a 9.5D but wear two pairs of socks, so I've been wearing size 10. I ordered these new slippers in the same size (10), but found the ankles were too tight for my feet to fit into them, and found the same problem with size 11! I then spent an extra $15 having a shoe shop stretch the ankles in the pair of size 10, and now they fit OK. I've never run into this before, but it seems to me something is wrong with this product's design or manufacture. A surprise, as LL Bean has always been great.

The slippers are way too low in the arch and toe. That is, even though my husband is a size 9 1/2, he could not slide his feet into a size 10 or 11 of this slipper. The width and length were okay, but the height was not. One would have to be totally flat-footed to wear them.

The color was the only thing I liked about these. They were made in Myanmar. They were returned.

Received as a birthday gift in late November 2021, the polyester uppers started forming nubs (pilling) soon after. It's gotten so bad, I plan to return them even though they are very comfortable. I wore them only indoors on carpeted and smooth laminated flooring. My previous pair lasted years and may have been made of a different fabric.

These were VERY stiff, heavy, and clunky. Sent them back as I didn't want to listen to my husband and son clunk around the house in them!

I wear a size 12 shoe or sneaker. I purchased a size 13 and the slippers. They are way too tight and when they're on my feet they dig into the top of my foot. Get two sizes bigger and your normal foot size. I already dropped them off at Goodwill so now I have no slippers.

Back in February I purchased the scuff slipper in grey with a black sole. They were great until a month ago when I noticed my beige carpet in front of the sofa where I sit to read or watch tv is black! There can be no other reason except for those slippers.
Llbean has fantastic products and I'm always happy with what I buy. Not this time. Im sure its to late to return them.

There is a tight band on the top of the slipper that is not comfortable.

I purchased a pair of these for my husband years ago, and they finally wore out. Knowing that he loved this style of slipper, I simply went to the LL Bean website and ordered a new pair. Unfortunately, I didn't read the reviews before the purchase. After presenting the slippers to my husband for Christmas, he immediately asked if I had ordered the correct size (9) which I had. The new slippers were extremely small. After forcing his foot in, he said the arch was extremely uncomfortable, too. I'll be returning the slippers.

I returned it because it was too narrow- though D width is often satisfactory for me. I am still waiting for the refund to come.

I bought these at Christmas 2019 and wore for 2 months before retiring for the year. I pulled them out this year and wore then for a couple days and the sole is already separating from the shoe. I purchase LL Bean products for their quality and reliability. This purchase really let me down.

My husband has had these fleece scuffs for many years, but this year's version is WAY too small and tight. It's narrow in the entire arch and front of the foot. He couldn't even get his foot into the slipper. The fleece is also tighter fabric than in the past so we had little confidence it would stretch adequately.
I hope LL Bean brings back the old design!

The bottoms are too stiff. The arch is not high enough. I bought these for my husband and he cant wear them because of the arch. They sort of fit me so I kept them for myself. A few other reviews said they'd loosen up after wear, but that hasn't happened. It's like walking with stiff cardboard strapped too tightly to your feet. If it wasn't a hassle and a cost to return, they'd go back.

These slippers looked great but initially were very tight and felt short. After a few days they formed to my feet and fit well both in length and width. The problem is that before they stretched to fit me, my heel would crunch down on the small ridge at the back of the slipper, flattening it out. Now I feel that lump on the back of my heel when I wear them and I can't make the back ridge return to its original shape. So they're uncomfortable enough that I stopped wearing them within days. Very disappointed with this llBean purchase.

May be the worst design of any product I've ever purchased. Bought two pairs to replace a wonderful, and similar, pair I'd bought from Bean 3-4 years ago. With these, the very minimal rear of the slipper behind the heel is exactly wrong. A few "test steps" in the living room reveal that the back, behind the heel, will neither stay on or off. Weird - just weird. Obviously form over function. How does one wear such a thing out to the woodpile, when they're not securely on your feet? Advice to the designer - either make it a true slip-on - and I'll know not to buy it for serious wear - or make them with a full back behind the heel. Like most hybrids, these do nothing very well. Not easy to slip on, can't use them as a part-time shoe for a quick outdoor chore.

zero padding - all you feel is a hard sole and an even harder floor - did Bean change manufacturer? My old Bean slippers (same style) were so much better, much more padding whereas these have been returned - for the price, I would expect better quality from Bean.

Width and Length where fine. Height was the problem. Foot would not even go half way into this slipper.
