Comfortable shoe. I've worn one pair completely out! They get no mercy.

Sturdy. Water resistant, not proof. So far feel good and holding up. Had for a couple weeks.

Nice design, keeps feet dry & comfortable, but initially a bit stiff.

I bought my first pair approximately five years ago. Sporadic use for very light hiking and daily use in shoulder seasons demonstrated a good balance between traction and durability. Pleased with water repellence. The sole lacks stiffness for hiking other than smooth trails.

Only gave it a 4 because the toe box is tight. Everything else was fine. A friend is a 1/2 size smaller and fit him perfectly. He took them off my hands and I will order a different pair just a 1/2 size bigger.

Comfortable, waterproof. Should have ordered a half size smaller. Boot is stiff.

As minute as it seems the one issue I have with the boot is that the laces are too long. If you wrap them around the boot they ride up off and tying them creates potential safety issues.

This seems to be a bit narrower in the toe box. I had to exchange Std fit to EE & that is still a little tight with my sock liners and hiking socks. But overall, I am happy with them so far.

Perfect in every way except the toe bed is a bit too snug - hence 4 stars rather than 5. I wear 9 1/2 in every shoe and boot. I don't want to get 10 as it will be too loose. I will say that after about five hikes, it broke in a bit so it is not as tight, but a little more room would be better.

Took several hikes, about 3 miles each, to break in the cuff to be comfortable.

No one can really tell you 20 miles in to a new boot how well it'll do. What I can say is that I purchased these to eventually replace 10yr+ old originals of the same product line. The fit of the boot remains the same, although the mid cuff is now taller. The lacing structure is different and feels cheapened, but maybe it'll work better. The boot is certainly more fabric and less leather than before. And the switch from gortex to their custom waterproofing will also be TBD on effectiveness and longevity. If I get another 10 years from the boots, then I'll be happy. Waterproof was certainly a non-issue during a hike that include stream crossings and very deep mud on trails at points. I appreciate being able to hard-hose them off as well after an adventure or dirty yard work. My old pair started pulling apart at the outsole seam, but I've been successfully mending that with Gorilla Glue Clear and some temporary duct table to hold the proper seam line while it sets. Original pair - more metal and leather, made in Italy. New pair - more fabric/cloth, all private label technology rather than main partner brands, and made in Taiwan. See pictures for comparison from a 2007 boot and the newest Trail 4 (2021).

I have found that most hiking boots are not waterproof. Some are water resistant. When it's wet out I wear my Bean boots. Otherwise I wear the hikers and all is well.. These are comfortablee and feel ll sturdy enough for the daily 5 miles walking my dog in the woods. This is after 50 miles and so far, so good.

I have purchased 4 pair of these boots so far. They are sturdy, great traction, completely waterproof and durable. The toe, while not steel, has an incredible strength to it allowing me to work in construction with them. The only fault with them is the laces. They are terrible. The ends quickly fray well before the boot, and you cannot buy replacements. They are color coded to each color (I've owned all colors) and trying to find a match online is difficult. Otherwise a great hiker/worker boot.

These boots are very comfortable and lightweight. Fit me perfectly after a very short break in period. I've walked through standing water and mud and my feet have stayed dry. Also the mud brushes off easily after drying. My only issue is the smell of the rubber soles. Hopefully this will disappear over time.

Breaking them in. Pretty quickly done. Comfortable so far. But I miss having two lace turners at top. With only one the lace loosens.

Runs a bit large in both length and width. I expected such to some degree but this is still true after some rather thick socks. These do not breath. This is expected for waterproof boots in this price range. Consider your intended mission/purpose when choosing.

Purchased for my son for Christmas. He's just getting them broke in his first pair of hiking boots. He really likes the way they feel. Loves the grip they have.

The boots are not water proof, feet get wet walking in wet grass. Needed time to break in, stiff went new, and were hurting legs until they are broke in.

I am very pleased with these boots, except I cannot get replacement laces. There is a Bean store nearby (Fayetteville NY). They did have them. Can I order some from the website? There doesn't seem to be a way to do that.

This shoe looked to be very well made and of excellent quality. The fact the wearer has a very narrow foot item had to be returned.
