The heavy stitching around the ankle of the boot rubs against the ankle uncomfortably

Rigid seams are inside the boot right below the ankle. Very uncomfortable.

Given as a Christmas gift in 2021 as the Chelsea boot. For the most part they are pretty comfortable and waterproof. I have no idea how I'd put these boots on if it weren't for the sturdy rear upper leather strap (it serves as a built-in "boot" horn!) I'm not sure how I would put them on my feet. I wear different socks each time and at least one of my socks falls off wearing the boots. Also, I side with the customer who stated there needs to be some sort of comfortable material around the seam. It's an uncomfortable "ring around the (upper) foot." Maybe this product ought to go back to the drawing board.

I have had a pair of the classic, tie-up, Bean boots for decades but thought I'd add these in as an easy slip option. Unfortunately, they felt tight in the toe box and way to wide in the heel. I returned them.

Way too loose to snowshoe. You step right out of boot.

I've wanted a pair of these boots for years, but the price was prohibitive. But I finally decided to take the plunge and buy a pair, before I'm too old to clomp around outside, hoping they'd fit better than the way less expensive brands I was wearing. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. Length was great, but too loose in the heel and way too loose around the ankle, causing a lot of slippage when I walked. I even added an insole, but it didn't help in the heel, and in the end the large gap around the ankle was also unacceptable. I think if they fit tighter around the ankle, it would have helped a lot. These zip like a breeze and I love the look and craftsmanship of these boots, but I can't rationalize the cost for boots that don't fit me better than these did. Will have to return.

At 50 degrees (not very cold) my feet got cold. Since I got these boots specifically for walking my dog in colder weather, I sent them back.

Not enough insole support for me, an insole made the toe box too tight.

Great boot but I have one problem with the Bean Boots, they are always to big. I have ordered different variations over the years and usually return them because as I order the smallest size available (6) and it is always too big (I am normally a size 6.5). I decided to give the zipper version a try and, sure enough, too big. But I am keeping these as most of the purchase was paid for with my Bean Bucks and the zipper does make life easier. I will just wear an extra pair of socks. One other note some of the glue on the part that connects the upper portion to the base of the boot was pretty sloppy - that was unexpected for an LL Bean classis product.

Everything about these boots is great , except they are so sloppy that you can walk right out of them!

I'm normally a size 10.5 in boots, ordered a 10 and 11 to see which size worked best. My feet could swim in the 11 and even the 10 was very big (width and length). Returned them both.

Boot is larger than the lace up boot. The zipper portion is loose so it slips when walking. Had to return it because my foot would slip when taking a step.

Too stiff and not cushioned at top above ankle. Otherwise liked style and color. Too uncomfortable to wear so returned them.

This easy -on, easy-off boot is easy to put on as you are about to leave the house and just as easy to slip off when you get to the back porch, so you're not tramping mud into the house. Oh, and did I mention that it's great for mud?

Purchased as a replacement for 9 year old Bean boots that were worn out. Old boots were size 7.5, and fit great. I tried the size 7 in these boots, but it was too short in length. The only option left was an 8. The extra length doesn't bother me, but the extra width makes the boot feel loose and a little unstable when walking on uneven ground or hills, even when wearing thicker, wool socks. I just don't understand why half sizes are unavailable!!

Cute boots. They run a bit large. Look to be well made. The thing that struck me most was the inferior insoles. Super thin with zero arch support and they run a good half inch or more shorter than the footbed of the boot. So I ended up putting a $40 pair of insoles into a $179 pair of boots to make them comfortable. I'm keeping them, but probably wouldn't recommend.

Stitching on outside periphery of boots made the interior seam rub on my foot.

Boots are beautiful, top notch quality, exactly what I need in MN, but the upper suede is stiff and when I move my ankles it is uncomfortable. I plan to return, haven't yet because I keep trying to think of a way it might work, such as suede softens a little. Sorry this beautiful boot does not work for me.

I have several pair of size 7 Bean boots, so I ordered size 7, they are at least a size too big. Will have to return them.

I wanted to love these boots but there is a huge seam across the heel where the fleece lining meets the bottom lining. I didnt feel it initially when I tried them on in the store but once I wore them out in the snow (even with thick socks) it rubbed horrobly and started to cause blisters. I ordered a second pair thinking I just got a bad pair but the construction was the same.

I bought these a few weeks ago after my old ones failed to keep My feet dry (old meaning 15 years old). I love the idea of the zipper but now I'm finding them big and sloppy feeling around my ankles and the outside seam is very rough and sloppy looking. I should have gone with ups again. Great idea just not well executed fit wise .
