These boots are falling apart after 2 seasons. Deep cracks have formed across the top of the boot and they are no longer water resistant/water proof.

I loved the way these looked and was ecstatic to find a pair. Within one month of normal wear they got a rip on the outer rubber. This has since resulted in the entire exterior layer falling and tearing off. The soles are still intact, but they are basically useless and look like I took a knife to them. Huge disappointment!! Never again will I buy boots from LL Bean.

Bought few months ago & barely wore these prior to discovering a crack on one side of its uppers. I am a loyal customer since 2003, but this pair has disappointed me. I noticed its upper separated from the sole after about 5/6 wears. Bummed as I expect quality & sturdy footwear of LL Bean. This appears to be a poor-quality item made using glue that is prone to come apart prematurely.

I wore these pretty often and they both got holes in them after 1 month of wear. I was really disappointed in the quality.

I purchased these boots for our children, who use them to participate in rowing and crew activities. They typically wear them to and from practice, but not to row in nor to exercise or perform particularly strenuous activities. Bought in February 2022, and now in October 2022, they are falling apart. The lining has separated from the back of the shoe, and the fore foot, where the rubber flexes when walking, has cracked and opened a hole into the boot. Needless to say, the former leads to blisters and the latter to a soaked shoe when walking in damp grass, never mind stepping in a muddy puddle while handling rowing shells. The bottoms of the soles show minor wear, perfectly acceptable. We took these to the Dedham store in Massachusetts for a refund, since I really think they should last longer than 8 months - but the clerk told us that they were worn too hard and the failure of the front side of the shoe and the separation and fraying of the liner were due to excessive wear and thus refused a refund. I pointed out that the sole showed hardly any wear, and if a 15 year old girl walking in them could lead to cracks in the sides, it is a poorly designed and constructed shoe. Besides, aren't all LL Beans products guaranteed for 1 year? Previously, I know it was a life-time guarantee - that's gone - but during that era, I rarely needed to return things. Quality should be improved.

I wore them for 15 days, then the seams failed. Extremely poor quality given the price tag.

One tab pulled out of the boot within the first week. The other three went within the first month. The sole detached from the boot after three months, just as k was stepping in a puddle. Would not recommend.

These boots deteriorated after 12 workdays in a greenhouse. They are comfortable but do not last. Do not recommend.

Only had the boot for a few weeks and this morning my left sock was soaking wet. I did not walk through any puddles, just wet grass. Totally disappointed because the boot was comfortable. Sending back for a refund.

I had purchased these for some waterproof rain boots to wear. I love LL Bean and have been a raving fan for many years. Though these have completely altered my experience with the company. Within three months my first pair started seeping water into the sole of the foot. The top material was separating from the sole. I returned them for another pair. The lady said it was uncommon of an issue. Though if you look at these reviews worst to best, you'll see it's actually very common. The next pair I got, within four months the sole was separating from the top material and my foot was getting wet. I sent them back and now they said "they seem very worn" and could not process a refund. Yes I do live in the south and it's been raining a lot.. I find this absolutely shocking to receive this kind of response for a company that says they stand behind the quality of their products. How much can someone actually wear through a boot in four months if it is made of quality material and craftsmanship? The whole situation has been appalling and I am very discouraged from ever purchasing again from LL Bean or highly raving about any of their products to anyone else.

After wearing only a few days the rubber along the side of one boot tore loose from the sole. This is an inferior product. I am surprised that Beans sells it.

Good looking boot and well made. Size was true to my size. But it was painful to get my toes & feet into the boot - felt against Nature. Had to return them.

I loved the look of these boots, and the fit was perfect. I ordered Navy with the white stripe. Unfortunately, the side slit under the elastic dug into my leg - above my ankle each time I stepped. The elastic stretched, and the rubber slit opened and closed - on my leg!

I wanted to like these boots. They were comfortable, they fit well, they were just what I was looking for (lightweight rain boot) but they're just not designed to hold up. I bought one pair, which came apart at the seam between the bottom of the boot and the sole, and exchanged it for another, which came apart in the same place a couple months later. It's disappointing because I hold high expectations for the longevity of LL Bean boots, but these just weren't designed well. I still have all the faith in the world in traditional Bean Boots, just not these Wellies.
