The design of these boots is great I get complimented all the time. BUT they don't do the literal one job they have, actually keeping my feet dry in the rain. I bought a pair in 2023 and they started leaking halfway through the season. I still really loved the design and hoped it was an anomaly, so I bought ANOTHER pair in 2024 and even intentionally wore them less, but they still failed just as quickly. I just took them out as the weather has shifted and I forgot how badly they failed until wearing them again. You can't say I didn't try! So disappointing that these are still for sale after seeing all the previous complaints just now.

Got these boots for Christmas 2024 and was impressed with the looks and sturdy sole. However, after less than four months of wearing (Jan-April and 1 day in October) in the rain & mud while walking the dogs, both boots started to leak. The leaks occur where the upper part meets the side strip of the sole. Very sadly, I returned them.

Had the same issues as others had, ripped at the seam after one season of use.

I was initially really happy with these. Then after wearing only several months, the boot completely disintegrated- like the sole separated from the sides of the boot and I spent one miserable day at work with a soaking wet sock and duct taped shoe before I could get home to toss them.

I've now returned these five total times. Every pair I get you can hear air when you walk and your feet get wet and they tear at the seams. Very disappointing product.

Had these for a couple months and they ripped at the seam making them no longer waterproof.

These are very cute and felt good to walk in, but as others have said, the seams ruptured after a few months of use.

I bought these boots last fall. Was happy with them, wore them maybe three times a week. Today had to be out in the rain for the majority of the time and they totally broke down. Not worth the money

I bought these boots just over a year ago and I have not worn them enough for "normal wear and tear". The liner ripped out of the right boot and the left boot has ripped on the outside bottom seam. I'm typically pretty happy with my LL Bean purchases but not these!

When I ordered this for Xmas gift, I ordered a woman size 9, I got a man's size 9. Went to get a refund and was told even though I had my receipt that I could only get a store credit, unacceptable.

I bought these boots two years ago to wear in heavy rain and snow. Where I live doesn't get much of either so they only see occasional use. I am really, really disappointed in how they've held up- the rubber upper on the left boot has peeled away from the sole, which lets moisture in so you're walking around with soggy, freezing feet. The right boot is starting to do the same. For the price, they are not great quality and I would have expected so much better. This is apparently a known problem with these boots, based on some reviews below me. I wouldn't recommend them. They are stylish and the sole is sturdy, but the quality just isn't there. An unrelated problem is also that the raw leather edge will rub your calf raw unless you wear them with thick, non-slip socks. I bought these as an investment piece that would see me through at least ten years and they ended up being a painful money suck- would not recommend.

When visiting the Maine flagship store, I bought these boots. For rubber boots, I thought they were a little pricey but was assured of the LLBean quality. Well, 15 months later, the boots have ripped off their seams on both right and left exposing my socks and cracked on the top. When I called to complain, they said they do not stand by their boots bc perhaps I had stored them 'wrong' (they were in my bedroom closet). Something has changed in their manufacturing or material process. I am not a happy customer.

wellie boots look good but really a terrible design - can't get them on!! don't even know for sure if they would have fit.

I got these boots as a gift and I love them - they are super comfortable and fit me well. However, the seam between the sole and top have split and in reading the reviews I see this is an experience that many other people have had. I'm so disappointed as I expected durability and better quality from LL Bean. Because I got these as a gift, I don't have proof of purchase so I can't return them - and even if I replace them, the same issue is likely to happen again.

After opening and before trying on, I inspected the boots. Several places on both boots, where the top of the boot meets the sole, were not secured and were pulled away from the sole. I immediately returned. I'll stick with the women's Bean Boot....

I ordered these boots and when I received them I could NOT get them on my feet! The opening at the top is too small. I have a high arch and even pulling both tabs I can't slide them in. Hard to tell if they are good if I can't get them on.

I purchased these wellies to walk my dog. I live in a rural area and the growth on the side of the roads get pretty high and very wet in the early hours. They leaked! Wet socks when I got home. I also had to cut the stretch side panels because I had a terrible time getting them on. I absolutely wouldn't recommend them at all. A total waste of money. So very disappointing!

Similarly to previous review they are less than a year old and the rubber has failed in multiple places. Not worth replacing with same!

I bought these a year ago but after a year they are cracked and unusable. Looking at other reviews, I see that this is not unusual. So would not recommend at all.

I bought these less than a year ago and with periodic wear the base of the shoe has lost its waterproof seal. There is no visible damage that I can see but the soles become soaked just walking through wet grass. They were great when I first got them, but definitely not designed for longevity.

After wearing periodically for 3 months, the sides blew out. Not the old LL Bean quality I was used to.

I got them as a gift. Within a month they were coming apart at the base and I have to glue them often and it's starting to look ugly. They're so comfy, and cute though. I'm so bummed $99 was wasted for a product that lasted 3 weeks. Can't even use them in the rain
