Those previous reviews that complained about the booties being too tight were accurate. The slippers felt comfy when I first put them on, but within 5 minutes, I noticed that the elastic around the ankles was cutting off the circulation to my feet. I would not recommend these booties to anyone who does not have very slim ankles. AND, the right booty was probably one size too short. I checked the inside labels and they claimed that both were the same size. My feet are absolutely NOT different sizes! I'm returning the booties.

I recently bought these slippers as they looked like they would be exceptionally comfy. However, I found the elastic around the ankle to be too tight on the heel in the right slipper. It was actually painful. Also, they are supposed to have a rib design with the fleece on the top of the slipper. The left one had 3 fleece ribs; the right one had only a partial one. So the slippers did not match. Unfortunately, for these two reasons, I am going to return them.

I liked the description of these slippers but found they weren't for someone my age with osteoarthritis. You have to bend over and pull them on as they fit very tight around the ankle. They were also very heavy for a shoe. On the positive, they are very well made as is everything from Llbean. . I sent them back.

I got this several years ago and absolutely loved it. Got a new pair and it's way too tight both in the front top and the heel where the elastic is. My right foot actually becomes numb due to the tightness. I wish companies wouldn't change what worked before.

Cute but very stiff sole, yet somehow still lightweight? I looked forward to buying these all year and honestly I haven't worn them since.

I wanted to love these slippers, but I wish I had purchased another style. They are very well constructed and durable, especially the soles--they are more like indoor shoes with hard soles.
My main issue is that they are very stiff and snug around the foot and do not breathe at all. I cannot wear even light socks underneath and without socks, my feet sweat into the slipper and they smell so horrible. I have washed them once and they still smell so bad that I just leave them outside. I will probably end up having to throw them out. If you want something warm and comfortable, I would choose a different slipper.

These slippers are very warm and cozy, but too bulky to wear with socks. They are VERY bulky. Hence, given the sanitary issue that comes with warm feet, they should be washable. I love them, but won't buy them again for this reason.

Slipper is very difficult to get on over heel. Insole is hard and flat. Need arch support and soft flexible insole.

My mom got me these slippers for Christmas and I had high hopes as I have several pairs of ll bean Mocs. I really wouldn't consider these comfy soft slippers. The sole is so hard like that of a boot and there isn't much padding, making them very awkward and uncomfortable and nothing like what you think of as a cozy slipper.

These slippers had a bit of a wedge heel to them, weird fit, felt more like a dress shoe. Ended up returning.

Although I loved the look of these slippers, they were very hard on the bottom & not comfortable.

Now, I realize that size 10 is never dainty - in any shoe. However, this slipper in my size was almost as big as the box it came in. Wish I could get over the heft as it's very comfy - just too cumbersome in larger sizes. I'll bet it's adorable in a 6 or 7. Disappointed, but there are other slippers in the sea! Love LLB products in general - this was an unusual occurrence.

These slippers looked so good! Unfortunately, they hurt my one foot to the point that I can't wear them. I only realized this after I had worn them for a few days so assumed I couldn't return them.
I have a wide feet and the toe box looks like its very wide but the way the slipper is structured, it presses against my big toe and causes enough pain that if I wear them for a few hours, my foot hurt so bad that I can't fall asleep at night!

When I saw this cute bootie slipper I thought "this might be the coziest thing I could put on my feet!" That's really all the criteria I had. I'm working from home, I want to stay cozy. Period. I couldn't wait to get them on when they arrived.
I wish that I'd read the reviews more carefully, which point out the very thing I experienced next.
Yes, the slippers are true to size, look cute, and are warm and soft to the touch. But none of that matters once you have them ON and you feel how rigid they are. Even lounging with your feet up is uncomfortable, because they won't let your feet assume a natural position. When you walk in them they feel even worse. Honestly, a flap of the cardboard box they arrived in would have been more cushiony and flexible than whatever these are made of. I was reminded of the walking cast I had to wear when I injured my foot, only the walking cast was more supportive and ergonomic.
Slippers have one job: TO BE COZY, and to do so from the minute you put them on. You should not have to break them in like a pair of leather work boots.
When I see that there are reviewers who are genuinely happy with these slippers I have to wonder whether they're getting lucky and receiving a completely different slipper. I'd love to give some of the other slippers a try, but when I see they have the same rigid sole, there is no way. And absolutely not if I'm paying extra to return them.

The photos make them look so warm and cozy, but I found them great if you want to wear them out of doors, but not a go to slipper for indoors, Does not feel like a slipper at all. They are nice and warm (a plus) but the soles are too stiff and more shoe-like than slippers.

I wear a size 8 and ordered a size 8, but I was sent a size 11. After I ordered them, I read reviews about how uncomfortable they were and I returned them without exchanging for the correct size.

The elastic across the top of the slipper cuts off circulation and toes go numb.
The sole is at least 1/2" thick and very stiff. Didn't expect that but would have lived with it if it wasn't for the tight elastic.

I have been a fan of the LL Bean Wicked Good Slippers for years. There one flaw was that they lacked a textured sole making them slippery if I stepped on the back porch in winter. When I was this new style of slipper I was elated and instantly ordered them. I got the kelp green because it looked like something that an elf would wear. They are anything but. Rather than being something that would make me feel spritely they make me feel like Frankenstein. The soles are stiff and rigid with no arch support. The very tight elastic around the ankle forces my foot forward scrunching my toes. I normally wear an 8 1/2. I ordered a 9 and they feel a bit small.

I really wanted to love these but unfortunately they cut the circulation off across the top of my foot. The seem to be well made and the sole is firm but I just can't wear them for any length of time. I'm hoping to exchange them for my trusted wicked good style.

How can $70 slippers be uncomfortable? The inside of the slipper is scratchy on the inside. When you walk the soles barely bend. Very disappointed with this purchase. They are going back.

This is a great shoe for warmth and comfort however, if you have less than a very wide width, i don't think it will work for you. I wear a ladies size 9 and this shoe was short and very wide. I felt i could get both feet in one shoe. Sadly, i had to return it.

The positive is that the sole is cushy and bouncy. Unfortunately, negative is that the upper material is just not warm for your feet. Although they look like they will be warm, they are not. Even with socks.

They look so soft in the picture BUT the picture is deceiving. Inside is stiff and not at all soft. They are also very ugly. Very disappointed. I probably will not keep
