Very stiff , I could not get them on my feet. I gave them to a friend. She had the same problem.

I returned them. They were difficult to get on and very stiff.

I returned this purchase. The top front of the boot dug into my shin.

I bought these boots last year. Sure should have sent them back. They are the worst! No matter how big of socks I wear, they bunch up and slide down. The top of the boot hits my shin in such a way I can barely stand it, especially driving. So sorry I purchased these boots.

Painful to put on and take off. Once feet were in, enough room for thick socks. Inner ankle bones rubbed against zipper immediately. Returning.

I got a pair of these boots for Christmas. One of the zippers kept getting stuck midway down. Thinking it was a bad pair, I returned them for a new pair (same thing). Guess what? The new pair has the same problem. This is obviously a design flaw. I will be returning this new pair today and asking for my money back. I am also asking LL Bean to NOT charge me shipping. I have been hesitant to buy clothes online because you can't try them on beforehand. I trusted LL Bean because they are known for the quality of their goods. I cannot buy any more clothes from them because of the hassle. Here it is, late January, and I don't have a pair of decent boots in the Northeast US.

I have received 2 pairs of these boots this month. The first pair was defective. The zipper on the right boot would not zip all the way down so I could't ;;ut the boot on. You all were very cooperative and sent me another pair. The second pair had the same exact problem, the right boot zipper would not zip all the way down and I could not put the boot on. So now I've asked that some one in quality control PLEASE check the boots before they are sent to me and call me to let me know I am receiving something that's not defective.

Bought these boots for my wife's Christmas gift. When we pre-fit them she could not even get her foot inside the boot she's normally a size 8 and I ordered an 8 1/2

NOT what I expect from Bean! I was SO excited when these came in - yay! Nice boots to keep my feet warm and dry. I live in the South, so cold is relative - today was in the 40s - BRRR!!!! COLD!!!! I put my lovely new boots on - yay - going to have nice warm feet all day! NOOOOOO!!!!! COLD feet all day! They not only didn't keep my feet warm, they absorbed the cold from the surface beneath them (concrete floor) and transmitted it to my feet inside the boots! My feet got so cold they HURT!!!!! NOT ok Bean!!!!! I can't speak to their water repelling ability, since it was a dry day. And I won't be able to since I am packing them up to go back - I do not need or want boots that make my feet that cold! I would have done better in my flip flops :(. At least they don't transmit the temperature of the surface beneath them to my feet. Additional notes: They look great. The zippers are not as well constructed as I would like, as they consistently catch at the same point on each boot, so you have to be careful zipping them. They are a bit large, which I assume is to allow room for thick socks. I had on my version of a somewhat thick sock, and they were still roomier than I prefer, but I think with really thick socks they would be the perfect fit. Very disappointed :(
