The shoe is beautiful and well-made, but the wide width isn't wide enough. I've purchased wide shoes from LL Bean in the past and they fit well. Unfortunately, the width for this shoe just isn't wide enough and fits more like a regular width. I had to return them.

These boots are cute, but stiff leather. I have only worn in house to try out. The top around ankle is not comfortable. No real walking in them to tell if will make legs sore. So far, do not hurt but are not the comfortable fit I'm looking for. Due to all of the reviews saying they run narrow, I ordered a wide. My feet are average width and I feel my fit slip around in these wearing medium weight sock. I think I need an average width. Haven't yet decided if will reorder. I don't think I will be happy with this boot. Need to be made with softer leather around ankles. Disappointed, I like the look/design style. I think they are a true fit to size and should not have ordered the wide.

Must order one half to one full size larger to fit. Even then the heel may feel too roomy. Like the look though.

Runs very short and a snug fit. Booties do soften up as they're worn but def should size up

While this boot has a nice style to it and I really liked the color - it is made much too narrow. Thought if I went up a size that might help but it only created more issues and did not solve the narrow width. You really need to offer various widths in your boots/shoes - many people wear orthodics which required a wider boot/shoe area.

These boots are very good looking but not as comfortable as I was hoping. The construction is fairly stiff and hasn't gotten much more comfortable after a couple all day wears and breaking in. I ordered a half size up to allow fior thicker socks but they just fit.

Boots are really tight across the front of my foot, really stiff around my ankle and difficult to put on. Needed a shoe horn to get foot inside boot. Pretty much to size and good looking for those younger than me. I will be returning them.

I returned them, they were tight across the front of the foot in front of the arch. I do have high arches, and so it's probably just me, but they didn't work. They were really cute and well made.

Nice boot but the inside heel was too big. I had to return them.

I have long skinny feet and it is very difficult for me to find boots, of any kind, to fit my feet. These were cute and the sole felt great, not too high of a heel. But my foot was just sloppy due to the width. Wish someone would start making boots/sandals for AA widths again!

They are fine if I wear them sockless for a short period otherwise I get blisters on my pinky-toes. Unable to wear with socks as they are too tight. I am normally an 8 1/2 so I ordered a nine. but apparently it didn't matter.

I did want to love these they looked so good on the website but they just did not fit right.

These boots are well made. However, they felt extremely heavy and a bit tight and I returned them. A lighter sole and offering them in wider widths would tempt me to buy them again.

I had to return these after one day of wearing them all day. The top of the boot rubbed my leg so badly that I had a bruise/abrasion on both legs from them. They are slightly narrow as well and so were just generally uncomfortable. Cute looking but I was going for cute AND comfort!

Seem to be of very high quality and I love the look of these boots, the fact that they're leather without fur lining, the ease of no laces, but the leather is very stiff and they're tight against my toes. I need room to move my toes or I flip out. There's no way to know if they would soften and stretch, so I'll have to return. Disappointing

Very disappointed as I tried on these boots and I barely could get them on. I checked the size to make sure they were the correct size ( which they were). I have another pair of short boots form L L Bean that I have had for many years that are the same size which I love.

They are very hard and not comfortable

I'm not sure where this fits -- too bulky for casual, not right for hiking or other outdoor sports.

Shoe was fine but didn't work for me and was returned.

At this time of year I'm thinking ahead about the next 6 to 8 months of inclement weather in Michigan. A boot anywhere near this price point is when I begin thinking about protecting my footwear. I wish Llbean did too. Many people might think this shoe isn't in the same category of most winter bootery. Just saying it would entice more to purchase this boot had it been water resistant or water proofed. Beautiful boot though

The boot looked nice and fit was fine. I only gave it 3 stars because I found the top edge of the boot around my ankle rough. Every time I took a step the edge rubbed against my leg. A softer edging is needed. As a result, I decided to return the boot.

ATTRACTIVE, VERY WELL MADE, DEFINITELY A HIGH QUALITY ITEM BUT NOT SUITABLE FOR WALKING. THE HEEL IS TOO WIDE FOR ME. SADLY THEY WERE RETURNED.

Normally I wear a 9 Narrow, but in a boot, a 9 medium works fine if I wear socks. I ordered a 9 Medium, put in a very light foam insole to give my skinny foot a little more comfort, and the fit was okay. It is a little shorter than most 9's that I buy. One of the primary reasons I ordered this boot is because it has both a leather lining and an insole covered with leather, which are almost impossible to find any longer. However, the opening around my ankle was uncomfortable and rubbed when I tried them on and walked around the house for just a short time. It is very possible that this will soften up upon wearing, but I can't take that chance as I don't want to ever have to return a product that I have worn and cause LL Bean to stand the loss. I am sad about having to return these very cute boots as I had been looking for a long time for just such a boot.
